I always come by buying some food in this spot. I love the efficient service and well cooked food. Highly recommended.

Very elegant and accessible spot. They offer generous portions and for affordable prices. I enjoyed the food a lot and the staff members were very personal and chatty. Will definitely recommend this place.

Go-to bar in Back Bay. Always busy but never too crowded. Lots of throwback tunes and emo classics. Irish car bomb is a must have.

McGreevy's is Boston's answer to "where can I go to get a good drink and possibly catch herpes just from sitting in a booth?" Guy Fieri won't even come here and this place is the very definition of "dive bar"...hell....that's putting it nicely. Pros: Lighting is dim. This helps you not to see that one dude who is possibly whacking it in that booth in the back. The drinks are strong, which make you feel like any virus you get here can be killed with the amount of vodka they just gave you. The locals LOVE this place. We met two drunk dudes who emphatically led us to this place. They kept saying "we just came from there." Then they led us there and went back to the bar. Damn. When we left the guy with the Celtics jersey who'd been staring at us the entire time (He kept lifting his glass to us each time he took a swig) was still there. The bars in Boston close at 2. At 10 am we walked past and the Celtics jersey guy was there...in the same spot. The bar is owned by the lead singer of Dropkick Murphys so expect to feel like you are in a movie with Matt Damon or Ben Affleck. Cons: Honestly, I cant really think of any. This place has been here forever doing its thing for a reason - it's supposed to be a divey shady Boston bar. They stay on brand. They don't clean bathrooms because that's not Bostonian. They don't care if the seats are torn or the food is basically one step up from a Hungryman meal. You'll be so drunk you won't care. I can't knock a place for telling you up front "look...I don't like you tourists and you hipsters. Either come in here to get plastered to 90s Irish Celtic rock or beat it." If you are looking for a true Boston bar experience and the possibility of a lot of regrets the day after, this is your spot.

Great sports bar, and good food.

The pub looks nice, with a bar area at the entrance and a dinning room just after it. I had two beers there, so I can't give an accurate feedback. In the bar, tables and chairs are made of wood, and in the dinning room you can find more comfortable seats. They don't have so many beers, but as an Irish bar they have Irish beers and other local beers. We entered the place and we seated, then a member of the staff came and gave the menu in order to choose the drinks and the food.My friends tried some spicy chicken, they said it was good but spicy and the two pints of beers I had were good too.In the bar there are a lot of TV screens with sports, but the noise level was good.

Service was good. Two stars only for that. Our pizzas came out cold. Even the cheese wasn't melted. Drinks tend to be on the sugary side and not as strong. They need to work on giving their weekly specials of the day as much love as their main menu.

Had a great Sunday brunch at McGreevey's, including $1 oysters and an excellent Bloody Mary with a bacon straw. Good place to watch sport, eat, drink and be merry. The Sam Adams Cold Snap was a particular treat.

Wings! Super delicious, it was my second time in Boston and definitely had to come back to this cook little bar. The food is good, they have good options of beer and drinks. Always a good time here, definitely coming back here the next year.
