What’s with the reserved bar seats? Why was the bartender so rude and inhospitable about it? So four open seats and you turn away business?

We took a friend to Mistral to celebrate his birthday tonight and our waiter, Leni, made the evening so special! He was very attentive but let us set the pace, he was always available to attend to our needs but we never felt rushed. He recognized that we were celebrating a birthday and had a dessert sent to our table, complete with a candle, so that we could celebrate in style. The food and drinks were prepared to perfection, as always, but it was Leni who truly made the night special for us. I highly recommend Mistral for special occasions, as well as weeknight dining (their pizzas are awesome) and highly commend Leni for his superb service.

I went there with my husband for birthday celebration. The food is good but the place is very noisy. We felt like we were in a pub.

We celebrated my husband's birthday dinner at Mistral, attracted by its beautiful ambiance and courteous staff. The restaurant's aesthetic is indeed stunning. However, our dining experience was mixed. We tried the white cheese pizza, cornish hen, and fish specials for the night. Unfortunately, the food was only average; the cornish hen was notably too salty for our liking. Dessert, chocolate profiteroles with pistachio ice cream, fell below our expectations. Despite this, the ambiance and vibe of the place are undeniably charming.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Boston!! The food is delicious, the service is excellent (especially my favorite wait person Rodrigo) and all the people at the front desk and manager are terrific! Do not miss this one!!

The atmosphere and service was nice but we ordered duck and it was very tough to chew. There is nice profiterole with bitter chocolate and pistachio ice cream.

Had not eaten at Mistral in about 10 years. I had a wonderful previous experience when last there. So, being back in Boston, I took my son to Mistral last night. The experience was as wonderful as I remembered. Service was outstanding, we sat at the bar. Food was fantastic, we had the tenderloin, mashed potatoe, truffle oil pizza, rack of lamb and duck with a wild mushroom risotto. Great wine selections. Still must be considered one of the best dining experiences in Boston.

Had a great time celebrating my wife last night. The venue and parking was easy for a Monday night. Bobby our waiter was awesome. He was fun, polite and he checked in on us at all the right times. The food was really good and the service was good, although a tad bit slow (but that gave us more time to talk and relax so not a huge ding). If you're thinking about it, just go. It's worth it.

You leave feeling like you got value for your $$. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Expensive, but no more so than many restaurants in the suburbs these days and the food and drinks are significantly better.

My partner is deaf and everyone at the restaurant went out of their way to ensure that he had an enjoyable experience. They seated us at a quiet table and checked in to make sure the background music was not too loud. The server spoke clearly and carefully, and made sure that my partner was included and fully aware of the specials, etc. The manager checked in several times to make sure everything was comfortable for my partner. The lamb and the duck were delicious and the crème brûlée was the best I've had so far in Boston. Really lovely experience and we will be back!

Extremely slow service, the waiter flung my card onto the table and chuckled when my card flew off the table. The general manager was extremely rude - when I asked him why the table next to us had 4 waiters around them the whole night while all the other tables had to wait 30-40 minutes for our order to be taken, no one ever checked in on us. Idk if he was telling the truth...said the man fell on his way to the restaurant and made a scene and had to pay special attention to him that night. Meanwhile, the staff were having a full on conversation with this table and it felt more personal than just a fall (it seemed they personally knew him or he was an important person for this restaurant.. again this is my assumption). either way, it's not a good look having all the staff surround one table while everyone else can't order or even grab the check because you're having a full fledged conversation for 30 minutes - one of the employees even sat down next to the older gentleman and was having a catch up session with him. The GM told me he will try to mitigate the situation so that every time my name comes up in their reservation system, he will personally have 9 waiters surrounding our table (very passive aggressive and snarky response and felt a little threatening). He then told me he personally went to every table that night to check in on EACH TABLE, which was a lie because this was my first time seeing him. In the end, he turned his back to me and walked away from the conversation and told me “we're done here” when I told him he's being very passive aggressive. All I asked was for him to be more cognizant in the future - I didn't need or want anything. Made me uncomfortable speaking to him and voicing my concern. That's not customer service especially at a restaurant of this caliber. It's also Extremely unprofessional to walk away from customers in the middle of a conversation.
