This is/was my favorite restaurant in Boston and certainly the most authentic to an actual Italian experience. I am still hoping for a re-opening this spring!

Siobhan! We miss your fantastic food and presence! Next time we're up from Georgia, Pomodoro is first in the list. - Matt & Jack

Generally good to exceptional food. I'm not a décor person or even slightly care about ambiance, unless there's blasting sports on every TV screen in a panopticon like imprisonment, so I can't comment on that. The place could look like an outhouse in a mudhole inside a bilge container adrift at sea, and yet, if the food were good, I wouldn't care. The only thing I will mention is the overly solicitous and appeasing nature of the owner to the patrons. A few years ago, I had made reservations with my partner, and we had to wait at least 30 minutes before being seated at the appointed time. We were asked a rather arbitrary question - "Well, would you like YOUR meal interrupted to make way for others?" - to which I empathically said, sure, because obviously those people are just dithering around and have finished already. If someone is impinging upon another's designated time slot, bring the check, clean the table and do everything in your power to make them feel totally like they got to go. Punctuality and correctness is more important to me than indulging a perceived need to let guests luxuriate in some timeless European milieu where diners eat for 5-hour stretches in a repast that goes past 1am. I'd auto-eject them or at least let them know they need to scram politely.

Fantastic and tasty food, I like the character the spot has, and the workers were helpful. Will definitely visit here again.

Made a reservation here for my 6th year anniversary and we were so excited. We called once to make the reservation and once to confirm (we called the number on google and Yelp). Once we get the the place it's completely dark, no one is there, so we call them back. For some random reason this time they answer as sals place which they didn't do the other two times we called. We soon discovered that the number listed for pomodoro was redirected to sals place which had the same owner, I guess. So we made a reservation for sals place which was in Provincetown and we were in Boston. Thankfully we found somewhere else but the fact that we had to on a Saturday night at 8 almost ruined our night. I hate giving bad reviews and I'm sure this place is great but why have the same number for two different places so far away from each other.

There's a reason I brought my spouse to Pomodoro: incredibly delicious food in a delightfully cozy atmosphere. Two things to note: Reservations are a must, and you should only come here if you're not impatient or in a rush. This is a place to relax and enjoy your time with your company while the tiny kitchen make your incredible meals from scratch.

Unbeatable hospitality. I’ve spent several special occasions here and am always blown away!

Seared salmon was cooked to perfection. When it comes to their drinks, they have a good selection of wines. This time arround i went for a good old Manhattan and was really satisfied. I ll be coming back with my wife ! If you love food like i do you are more than welcome to follow me on instagram- instagram.com/luka_rosan…

Wow, Pomodoro was truly extremely good. It's in a great location and we were really pleased with our experience. Everything on the menu seemed really good, especially Caesar Salad. And also, the service was excellent and the staff was really polite. But, seriously. Pomodoro - Really, really good.

We knew we would be visiting Boston and this was the only reservation we made because we knew the place was small but didn't realize it was that small. We are always early and made reservations for when they open for dinner. It wasn't the easier to find as their name, at the time of our visit in August 2019, is not on or above the restaurant. It was cozy inside which obviously doesn't work in the current Covid-19 times.

Are there really words for how great this restaurant is? Siobhan and the crew are like family to every guest who walks in the door. This is less a restaurant, and more like visiting the kitchen of extended family. Try everything, but the rotating seafood pastas here is excellent!

We had the PEI Mussels Marinara and the Seafood Fra Diavolo. The serving size was spot on. The bread along with the olive oil was wonderful and eaten up even though we try to decrease our carb intake. The complimentary tiramisu desserts were the cherry on top of a superb meal. Because of the size of the place there is really not space for someone in a wheelchair or even space to store a folded up wheelchair or stroller. Also the bathroom is "right there", the door facing into the dining area. Irregardless Pomodoro is a sparkling gem in the North End.

I've since been back and proudly stand behind and further my initial review. I can't wait to come back next Saturday or Sunday if I can get a reservation!

Pomodoro has an intimate and homey atmosphere where the staff gives you top of the line service. Our waiter was knowledgeable of all drinks and food items on the menu and gave wonderful recommendations to a newcomer. We had the shrimp linguine and chicken carbonara for entrees.
