I was very pleased with my time here. The lobster roll was very good, I wish it had a tad bit more seasoning but definitely a quality lobster roll. I was impressed with how filled the roll was, especially with the big lobster pieces. Our waiter was nice and helpful, no issues.I would definitely come back and give it another go.

We made a reservation at Banks about 2 hours before dining, and this place was bomb.We had the foie gras, foraged mushrooms, lobster roll, cold crab cake, and clam chowder. I also ordered the dine out Boston menu from which I got the wagyu salad, monkfish and creme brulee. Everything was so delicious! The service was great and ambiance lovely.

My wife and I had an amazing experience. Yes, the food was good but the service was top notch. If you plan on dining here, ask for Marco. He made our experience truly unforgettable.

Very slow service although restaurant was not busy. Clam chowder was the best thing we had as part of the dine out menu. Pastrami sandwich was overly sweet with honey and the rigatoni pasta was so-so. Brussels salad was underdressed and not shaved well.

The service at the restaurant was top notch but the food was terrible. I needed a steak knife to cut my over cooked shrimp. My guest's scallops had a metallic after taste. The seafood in general was horrible. Never going back.

I brought my brother and mom for the dine out menu. Apps: Sea bass crudo 4/5, clam chowder 5/5, shaved Brussels salad 1/5 ( there was barely any dressing the Brussels were cut haphazardly with lots of hard stems/stalk to navigate thru). Main: pastrami sandwich 1/5 (a lot of honey made it taste way sweet too not enough pastrami) rigatoni beef 3/5, kimchi crab tacos 3/5 (big portion of crab but tasted super salty). Service 2/5 - server was quite nice but we waited 25 minutes between every course and sometimes could not find out waiter to give us utensils after the meal arrived (I had to walk up to the bar to find someone and also had to go up to find someone to give us the bill. We were there for 2 full hours for lunch- I know bc I had to run to grab my car bc the meter expired! the restaurant was not busy at all so it was such a confusing experience.

I come here yearly, their squid ink pasta (not the sweet potato version) is 10/10 and I come back here for it every time if it’s on the menu.Always excellent service from the staff here.Atmosphere is also great.Never any issues here and a goto place whenever I’m in Boston.

I have lived in Boston all my life, and travel quite frequently, and I can honestly say that Banks Fish House was one of the better dining experiences I've ever had, Boston or elsewhere. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared with unique, quality ingredients, service was excellent, and the view of the Back Bay from the second floor tied it all together nicely. The ambience is cozy and semi-casual, lots of date nights and pre-show diners - overall great vibe. My wife and I tried a King Salmon sashimi special app that was some of the freshest sushi cut you'll find. The chowder makes Boston proud with a creamy, potatoey base accented by pork belly. I had the scallops, which were cooked perfectly and honestly the best I've had anywhere. We plan to make this a regular date night spot - it's got it all.

I took my grandmother to Banks Fish House for her 93rd birthday. It was amazing! Our server was very nice and attentive. Food was delicious - octopus perfectly grilled and juicy, crudo so refreshing, and calamari so tasty and crunchy!!! Wine selection was very versatile. To top our lunch, we got a creme brûlée with a birthday chocolate! Thank you very much for an outstanding experience!

The environment was lovely as always with spectacular views of the street and Trinity Church. Excellent food. Greeters and servers were polite, accommodating, and prompt. Went for Sunday brunch and wasn't disappointed, will definitely go again. Something at everyone's price point.
