Visiting Boston and came as here was recommended by local. It’s a great place to visit. Food is great, had the best bone marrow, and the foie gras is definitely recommendable. service is busy but good, atmosphere is great. The only thing is it was freezing and we both got sick. The backyard outdoor patio is still freezing though there are Mr heaters near the wall outlets. The heat wasn’t strong enough at all to cover the area. Would only go again if got in door seating in winter.

My party of 7 made a reservation and we were seated promptly when we got there. Our server was friendly and attentive, however we felt rushed as we were eating — the staff came over multiple times to ask if they could take our plates when there was half the dish still on the plate. Keep in mind this is a restaurant that serves tapas, so the portions were small as expected, but for the outrageous prices we are definitely not leaving any leftovers to be thrown out in the back. The food was mostly good, but definitely not worth $80 per person. The restaurant is very loud, so don’t come here expecting to catch up with friends. Also they charge a 3% “fair wages and wellness” fee, which is ridiculous as we had zero heads up. Not only was there that fee, but they also tacked on a $6 “donation” onto our bill (when they had already charged the automatic 20% gratuity). Unfortunately we didn’t see this until after leaving, but I would not come back to this establishment. The food is not that good for such money hungry acts.

I really enjoyed this restaurant! The setas y huevo was possibly the best mushroom dish I’ve had. The bone marrow is a must try! The service was attentive.I recommend skipping the uni sandwich. It felt heavy, and I think it needed something fresh to balance the flavors/texture. While I appreciated the abundant complimentary bread for our dishes, I think an upgraded bread would go a long way.Overall, the food was fantastic, and I’m excited to try the paella next time!

The food is always great and the ambience is fun and lively. It's likely going to be full, leaving you with quite a wait. However, the host staff makes every effort to get you seated as quickly and easily as possible. The bartenders are knowledgeable and patient. It's not ideal for groups, because space is so limited however, It's a great Saturday evening date spot if you're looking for something that feels hip and fun.

It's not even one star. Literally the worst place I've ever been to. The front desk and waiters were so rude. And disrespectful. Do not ever go to this place ever.

Toro is dark, loud, and intimate. The music is blasting fun bops, but the tables are incredibly close together. For a dinner for 2 at 7pm on a Saturday, we were gently ushered out around the two hour mark. While I understand that they are turning tables, it would have been nice to have a warning when I made the reservation. Food was good but not amazing. Brussels sprouts were undercooked. For a shellfish allergy, the only seafood options were two raw tuna dishes since the cod croquettes were already sold out. Roasted eggplant was solid. For someone who doesn't eat red meat, there was no token chicken dish on the menu either. Not docking stars for the menu, but more flagging it for others. Would probably just go to Barcelona the next time I'm craving tapas instead of dealing with the chaos of getting a table at Toro.

Great food, amazing drinks, and stellar service. There's a reason this place is always packed, give it a shot.

burrata 3.5/5 - burrata with some sort of citrus fruit? it was pretty good gambas al ajillo 4/5 - grilled really well and has good flavor pulpo a la plantxa 4/5 - octopus cooked really, really well valencia paella 3/5 - not too much flavor, but decent sangria 3/5 Spanish tapas that are pretty good! I'm honestly not sure if Barcelona is better than here. Toro is a bit smaller inside, but similar vibes as Barcelona as it is a bit dark and on the louder side. Nothing overly loud or dark though. Service was very good. Quick to take away plates and good timing in between plates. We had made a reservation ahead of time and had no issues once arriving at the restaurant. For parking, there are plenty of metered spots outside of the restaurant.

It was ok. I had gone to Barcelona a week before (another tapas restaurant nearby) and it was WAY cheaper with very comparable food and drinks. Basically got the same amount of dishes/# of drinks and toro was almost double the money with tip. Very small and weird all the bar seats were reserved, no room for walk-ins or anyone to wait. The servers also cleared dishes and drinks too quickly when we weren't even done with them etc. I like to load my sauces on, don't steal my plate with it until I'm done. Overall probably wouldn't be back, nothing special.

I stopped into this place on a whim and boy am I glad that I did. Very small place with a TON of flavor. The tostadas with the tuna was insane. Flavorful and fresh and the cilantro pulls the whole thing together. The burrata and radish dish was next and I was pleasantly surprised. Radish can be so bitter, but the burrata mellows it nicely. The nuts and citrus also add a sweet quality that makes this cold dish sing. Next was the flank steak. WOW! I wasn't expecting the punch of flavor this steak had. The star here was absolutely the sauce that accompanies the well seasoned steak. Lastly, the house sent over the deviled eggs. I'm not a big fan of anchovies, but they went well with the eggs and eventually took a back seat to the rest of the flavors of the dish. In addition to great food, the place is very well kept and the staff is incredibly accommodating and amazing. My server was wonderful making great recommendations and providing just enough attention without being bothersome. Overall, Toro was a home run for me. I'm looking forward to getting back there for another great Friday evening. But MAKE RESERVATIONS! It gets packed very fast!

My friend and I walked in last night we waited 30 minutes for a table once the table was ready we returned and the GM took one look at us and said your intoxicated we can’t seat you. We were sober so I was taken away by the comment so I asked what she was talking about. She rolled her eyes and said ok we will seat you but no drinks just food. I asked why we were being denied and she said I was intoxicated I asked her to look me in the face and tell me that I was intoxicated she said I was yelling and I was not. Then I took a good look around and noticed that we were the only people of color in the entire restaurant. It really brings pain to my heart to see people behave this way and normalize being comfortable treating black people this way. It sucks because I live on the next street over and it looked like a cute place to bring friends when they come over and this is how they treat us. Do better Bonnie Nag if you don’t want to have diversity get out of my city. People of color are not going to stand for this any longer. We are fighting back. I’m going to come back just to see how and if things are being corrected and changed.

Really enjoyed my trip to Toro! Came with a group of 4 and were able to split a bunch of small plates. The patatas bravas, goat cheese, and empanadas were definitely the highlights for me!! Delicious. We also got the paella, and sliders as well as a pitcher of sangria. My only complaint is that everything was super expensive, but it's such a popular spot so I do get why!

The food was fantastic! Some of the best tapas we've ever had. Our favorites were the filete ibérico and the cachete de res. The deviled eggs are underrated and delicious! Service was very friendly and fast. It has a good ambiance too- my only complaint is that it was a little too dark and a little too loud. Otherwise, we loved it!
