Harvard House has really earned my love over the years. It's not the best pizza you can get, but it's exactly what a local pizza place should be: delicious, cheap, and open late. The pizza options in Boston are just not that great, and this place punches way above its weight class: the pizza sauce is top-notch, the pizzas don't skimp on cheese, and the crust isn't half bad. Calzones and sandwiches are terrific. Solid place all-around.
I think this is the restaurant I wind up eating at the most. It's the go to for good, fast, and inexpensive pizza in the area. Their wings and grinders are also good. It's refreshing to have somewhere no frills like this on a section of Mass Ave becoming increasingly focused on finer table service dining.
