“What a great daddy/daughter date! This place could not have been more fun or the service and food any better. It felt like we were invited to someone’s really entertaining cocktail party. So appreciated how the owner interacted with everyone and insured that we all got exactly what we wanted. We’ll be back!“
“Great food but lately El Jefe's is taking a hit on bad reviews due to @GrubHub's poor ordering system with algorithm issues which I have brought to their attention, and seems they still haven't fixed since I placed an order months prior. On 3 separate occasions on the same date and time I received my order incorrect. When I compared the order from my GrubHub account against the receipt received from El Jefe's, it was determined I was missing many items from my burrito bowl. I contacted GrubHub in which they kept refunding me, and I also mentioned the issue. I ordered El Jefe's 2 more times and the same error occurred both times. I could see once they mess up the order due to reading it wrong but not 3x. El Jefe's only puts an order together based on the ordering slips they receive from GrubHub, so if something is off with GrubHub's ordering system that is what the restaurant is receiving and thus creating the order from. As much as these food delivery services are ripping off these restaurants, they got a nerve to make the restaurant take accountability for their mess ups and ordering errors. They're already scamming these vendors out of $$$ and continue to affect these companies in a negative manner. Time for these vendors to go back to the old delivery ways and cut the greedy middle man! These good delivery services are a total rip off with their high fees, whacked discounts that don't add up, and lack of customer service.“
“The food was good, not exceptional, but worth trying, especially as a convenient option near Harvard Square. The real highlight was the vibrant nighttime ambiance with superb music. If you're looking for a lively spot to enjoy with friends, this place won't disappoint.“
“This restaurant is a must-try for anyone in the area. I've tried their enchiladas, tortas, and plates, and they're all great. The prices are so reasonable too, especially considering the amount of food you get! One portion is usually two meals' worth of food for me. My personal favorite is the enchiladas verdes with chicken.“
“The best inventive Mexican style food I have had in all of Boston. The ceviche, calamari and the churros were definite highlights. The drinks are also some of the best around.Kudos to these guys for knocking it out of the park. The decor and dual floor atmosphere is pretty amazing.“
“Uuuh i don’t know why this isnt like 4.8 stars…if youre looking for vegan drunk food before 11, or just food in general, the loaded burrito is hands down the king. I normally wouldnt care to leave a review but it was so effing delicious and somehow just not part of any review on any of the sites. Time for some comeuppance. Best burrito ive had in a long time“
“Growing up in Texas and recently moving to New England from Colorado I have been DYING to find some authentic Mexican food. This fits the bill and then some. We started with a large bowl a fresh guacamole and chile con queso, both of which were fantastic, especially because of the chips! The pictures don't do it justice because it was dark inside and I didn't want to use a flash but the nachos were unreal. So happy I ordered them and they're much bigger than it looks! We ordered several different street tacos to try. The pork carnitas came out on corn, also very delicious and the breakfast tacos you could get with or without chorizo. These are pictures without but they have an avocado crema which is just fabulous. I love the cute atmosphere. My only complaint is sitting near the window there is a mean draft that comes in and hits you on the back of your legs. It's enough that made it uncomfortable while we were sitting so I would say they could fix that but otherwise go early because they're popular and have limited seating! I'll definitely be back!“
“If you're looking for amazing, fresh Mexican food, look no further than Boca! This place is an absolute gem, and I can't say enough good things about it. First of all, the ingredients are top-notch. Everything is fresh and bursting with flavor. Perfectly seasoned meats and veggies, every dish is a taste sensation. The menu is also incredibly diverse, with something for everyone. Whether you're in the mood for tacos, burritos, quesadillas, or something else entirely, you'll find it here. And the portion sizes are generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. But what really sets Boca Grande apart is the atmosphere. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the decor is bright and colorful. Overall, I can't recommend Boca enough. It's my go-to spot for fresh, delicious Mexican food, and I know it will be yours too once you give it a try.“
“Decent Mexican place in Kendall Square.Mexcito has always piqued my curiosity, but its food-truck-like aesthetic and negative reviews had kept me at bay. Finally giving it a try, I was pleasantly surprised to find that their food was better than I expected.I started with the Pollo Asado taco, featuring marinated grilled chicken thigh accented by Cotija chipotle mayo, pico de gallo, and shaved lettuce. While a bit on the pricier side for a taco, the quality of the ingredients and flavors somewhat justified the cost. The Carne Asada Bowl was a mixed bag. Despite its rather dry carne asada, the bowl was replete with a variety of fresh and vibrant components—Mexican red rice, black beans, pickled red cabbage, avocado aioli, and charred corn, among others. It tasted like something you'd find in a salad bar, but with a Mexican twist.Overall, while Mexcito may not offer the most authentic or awe-inspiring Mexican cuisine, it's a serviceable choice for a quick, satisfying, and relatively healthy meal.“
“I love Anna's Taqueria. The food is consistently good, the service is fast, and I've so far never had a problem finding a seat if I'm eating there. Anna's in both Porter Square and Davis Square are equally good.Vegetarian options: They have roasted veggies as an option.Parking: There is a small parking garage attached to the mall. It can sometimes be difficult to find a spot there. I haven't experienced that with my most recent visits, though. There is the lot across the street which is much bigger. There is also street-side parking on Somerville Ave.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheel chair accessible entrance right on Somerville Ave, and a wheel chair accessible entrance from inside the mall.“
“As a Mexican I can say that I approve of these tacos and I loved them 10/10 delicious, the burritos are one of my favorites that I have tried in Massachusetts, the take out service is very fast and very good service ✨everything is fresh and I love “
“It has fancy looking outdoor seatings good for chill drinks with mexican foods in the warm weather. Inside seatings and bars are good for watching sports games. Foods are generally good and well served. Price is a bit high. Some meter parkings are available by chance on Mass ave and the streets nearby. But they are usually crowded so not recommended during peak hours.“
“Good food and service. It's not quite as authentically Mexican as I'd like, having grown up in El Paso and being Mexican myself, but my options in New England are limited. Anyway, go if you've got a hankering for Mexican food and are in the area! Both their burrito bar and sit down menu are solid.“
“Was in the mood for a burrito and for some odd reason somerville hasn’t been it for burritos as of late… so I decided to look around and found this spot. Idk how long they have been open but decided to give it a shot based of the reviews. I can honestly say it’s one of the best burritos I’ve had in a very long time. All the employees are super nice and friendly. All the ingredients and vegetables and meats that they use is all fresh. One thing I absolutely love is that they grill the burrito for you without asking and to me that makes the burrito 100x times better. Definitely will be a returning customer!!!P.S. don’t forget the Horchata!!!“
