Friendly's is such a nostalgic place to be. Not what it was but still worth it. Our server was AMAZING! (I forgot her name, sorry!) We came in towards the end of her shift and she was still so nice and welcoming! We stayed for a little and talked a bit with her as she was cleaning up. There was no rush, no feeling of get out, nothing. Just personable and kind. About an hour after we left my 10yo realized he forgot his favorite watch on the table. I went back hoping for a miracle but preparing him for the worst. She found it and left it at the register with her coworkers! I was sad she had left by then, I would have loved to thank her personally but... Needless to say, we'll always be back. Next time hoping she's our server again.

I ordered online b/c I just had the spiciest meal across the street & my husband and I really needed ice cream to cool off. It was Valentine’s Day and my hub says he wanted to eat right away. The restaurant was less than half full. We told the lady behind the counter that I made an online order but would it be possible to eat it here? She says sure. We found a booth that wasn’t exactly clean or ready for guests, but we didn’t mind. My husband went to use the bathroom and a waiter came over to me and told me that my table was dirty. I said I didn’t mind. He came back over a minute later and told me that if I ordered takeout I have to leave. I relayed this to my husband when he got back from the bathroom and he was shocked. we planned on getting coffee and tipping for the ice cream and whatever else we were going to get. The waiter was extremely rude and told us we had to leave. He said that we’re sitting in his section. My husband said that that seems absurd that you’re kicking out paying customers and that we would have tipped. The waiter said that isn’t always the case and told us again that we have to leave after we got our ice cream! I’ll never be returning to the Chicopee Friendlies again.

My wife and I were passing through Chicopee and decided to get some ice cream. My wife apparently committed a faux paux when she decided to order through the app on the way there for take out thinking it would be ready when we got there and we’d just get a booth and get some coffee. We entered and asked the girl at the counter if we could grab a booth and she could just bring it over. Shortly after we sat down a waiter announced to us that we could not eat in the store, we had to leave as that was their policy. It was quite bizarre and unwelcoming. We would not be comfortable returning to this particular Friendly’s after being kicked out for ordering take out. We would’ve tipped like any other customer. But I understand… a bird in hand as they say. They already got our money right? At least we didn’t end up having to tip as we were essentially kicked out for having ordered take out. Didn’t ruin our night, just a needlessly uncomfortable circumstance.
