Experience Holyoke's Mexican food at these fantastic spots.
“Everytime I go to chipotle in holyoke I see my favorite employee Natasha always working hard and at all different jobs. If there's a line she'll jump in to wait on customers she'll run the register clean always working well with all the other employees. She's always covering for other employees always with a smile to greet customers. I would be proud to have in my restaurant such a friendly hard worker like Natasha. Please promote her and raise her because she deserves it and does it all awesomely. Thank you to Natasha and the whole crew at whiting farms holyoke for always making my dining experience great. Even with people changing stores and shorthanded they always come thru for the customer. They all work very hard and happy. Just wanted them to be appreciated like they so deserve.“
“The service here is all right. You have to use a kiosk to put in your order which I really don't care for because I feel like there is absolutely no interaction with the workers and customers. The food is okay I really haven't had a problem with their food. Depending on who's in the front the attitude could be a little bit more friendly but overall it's all right“
“Just ordered from here for my team of 34! It was a hit!! Everyone loved it because it was so delicious and fresh. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some great food. The staff was also super friendly and happy to serve such a big group.“
“Fantastic meal!By far the best Mexican food for miles and miles around. It was clearly made with love. Flavorful, and made with excellent technique.I just over ate because I literally could not bear the thought of any of this food going to waste. Had I not been dining out, I might have licked the plate.“
“I was in Springfield for some Christmas shopping and on my way home I saw an orange/yellow? food truck on an intersection corner with a taco as one of it's pictures. I should start off by telling everyone that I am NOT a fan of Mexican food whatsoever. But I was hungry and how bad can someone mess up a bland plain chicken taco? I was greeted with a big smile and asked if I wanted to order. I said yes but idk if it's on the menu, I was something with chicken in it, a wrap, rice and beans. He so politely told me that was a burrito and pointed to it on the menu. it had chicken, rice beans, lettuce, tomato, cilantro and I think onions. I'm like YES THAT! Price wasn't all that bad either. Then he told me 10-15 minutes. I was taken aback but said ok. I 100% assumed it would take all 3 minutes to whip up some already cooked chicken and plop it together so when I heard 10-15 I'm like wow this is unexpected, looks like they're going to make it to order! Ten minutes later I go up and grab my food and thank him. This is the part to read: I open up the container and theres two little containers and I open the red one and stick my poor tongue in it... boy... that sauce was HOT. So I bite into the burrito and the first bite is ABSOLUTE BLISS. The wrap is crunchy but also soft and holding everything together, the rice and beans are amazingly seasoned (nowhere near overpowering, just subtle perfection) everything else in the burrito is cooked amazing. I couldn't beieve what I had just ordered. After eating the first half I got out and knocked and told him it was the best burrito I've ever eaten in my entire life and it's also high on my list with one of the best things I've ever eaten. everything just mended together to make this soul warming comfy food experience I NEVER ever would have expected from a food truck in Springfield. TLDR Beat burrito I've ever had in my entire life. Was an amazing experience, hope they keep this up. You have to try it. Thank YOU -Frank“
“Food: - I got the pulled pork burrito with bbq sauce and it was so good I could cry, will definitely be getting again Service was kind and fast Ambience: - the ambience it pretty fine. Bueno feels like more of an order and take out location to me. The food was the only thing I was looking at because it was so good ngl“
“YOU MUST EAT HERE!Don't even get me started on my love of Bueno Y Sano. I started eating their burittos when I was an undergraduate student at Umass Amherst in 1997. Of course, part of what I love so much about the restaurant is the memories and nostalgia of the wonderful times spent at the Amherst location. However, the food is absolutely phenomenal. The burittos are big (they roll fatties), flavorful and delicious. The tortillas are perfection. The ingredients are top-notch. The salsa at the salsa bar has been the same delicious, homemade flavor since the day I first tasted it. Truth be told...I've stopped in the restaurant a time or two just to fill a little salsa container so I could get my fix. I'm not sorry about it.While the menu has expanded, the classics have not changed. Chicken, steak, shrimp, or veggie only burittos are perfect and delicious. I have been to the locations in Northampton, Springfield, West Springfield, and Amherst. The food is perfect ? at all of them. Folks, my wife (also Umass alum) and I have flown back from cities all over the world (literally) to find our way back to "Bueno" because we love it so much!! That's how delicious and perfect it is.If anyone ever tells you, "I don't get why you love Bueno Y Sano so much." Or "It's just ok. " Those are NOT your people. They are the same people who probably say they don't like dogs. Don't trust them.Mr. Bob Lowry. I don't know you, but damn it man...I LOVE YOU! You did it, my friend. Thanks to you and the family of employees who make this restaurant chain amazing! ❤️???“
“El Comalitos is the best El Salvadoran/Mexican food in Amherst, hands down. Burritos are a great price if you're feeding a crowd for takeout, or I highly recommend the birria tacos or tacos dorados. Dining in, treat yourself to the plato pobrr and a generously sized margarita. If you want a Stanley Cup of a margarita, they've also got a huge margarita option (for sharing). Vibes are good, decor is classic, bathrooms are cheap, service is prompt. I'm a regular.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options in both tacos and burritos, just good dishes by themselves. They do not offer meat substitutes (ex. No tofu, no Impossible).“
“LA TAQUERIA DEL PUEBLO is a hidden culinary gem for Mexican food lovers. The tacos are authentic and bursting with flavor. The variety of fillings and salsas allow you to customize your meal to perfection. It's a must-visit spot for anyone craving delicious Mexican cuisine.“
“Restaurant was huge. Pretty good food too. Staff was very friendly. Don't know what region of Mexico their cuisine was from. The menu was rather large and overwhelming to choose a meal. Plenty of drinks choices.Parking: There were many spots when we went. Although during peak times it may be full. There are more tables than parking spots at this restaurantKid-friendliness: There were kids thereWheelchair accessibility: There was a wheelchair accessible entrance“
“What a gem! We discovered this place on a road trip and needed food. So glad we tried out this great, family-owned restaurant. We both got chicken burritos and a Coca-cola in a bottle. The burritos were enormous and required take-out containers because we couldn't finish! The whole time we were there, the owners' small children were at another table watching us. He would occasionally come out to deliver food or check on them. It was adorable. We thought the extensive Tex-Mex menu made for a lot of variety, and we especially enjoyed the different salsas they offered: pico de gallo for the complimentary chips, salsa verde, and salsa roja. The dining area was very clean, with bright, cheerfully painted walls. A constant stream of people coming to get their take-out orders indicated that they were very busy. I've bookmarked this place so that we can come back the next time we're in the area. Thank you so much for saving us when we were hungry and now you can be a destination stop for future trips!“
“This our favorite Mexican restaurant. Even after moving to CT a couple of years ago, we still come to Frontera's Boston Rd location. We like that we see many of the same faces when we dine there. Last time, I had the Korean short rib tacos and they were fantastic. But the star of the dish for me was the side of black beans. Friendly knowledgeable staff, and great Patron marguerites.“
“# colonialcafe, Chicopee has amazing food, especially for the price! They have taco Tuesdays where they offer $2 tacos that are huge. And on Fridays did you fish on Fridays. Usually I eat there twice a week Tuesdays and Fridays I just started going there about a month ago the staff are friendly. I typically will get two to three meals out of the serving size that they give you! And their prices to begin with are extremely cheap. There is another place that does fish as a Fisherman's Platter and charges just under $40, Colonial Cafe only charges just over $25 in the plate size is just as big if not bigger! Cooked fresh and ready to go if you're ordering take out they do have a phone number where you can call in advance just tell them EJ sent you! Don't be sure to take good care of you. I have no Financial benefit for recommending this place my benefit is effectively good care of me when I'm there and I'm sure they'll do the same for you. Happy eating“
“First time here. Cute restaurant, minimal decore but bright colors. Not a lot of privacy between tables. Definitely set up for a party mentality. Food was really good. Portions WAY, WAY to big. Couldn't finish it. Had them box it up to go but only half was put in the box. Prices decent, can't complain. Won't fight to go back but if invited I'd go.“
“My wife and myself decided to have dinner here, considering we’ve already heard good things about the place. Once you walk in the building you’re greeted to a very Latino inspired scene. Once seated your greeted with a menu, and soon after a choice of either fresh made salsa, refried Ben’s topped with cheese and a basket or tortilla chips. The menu is filled with a variety of dishes to choose from. I chose the “Dos Compadres” a dish of 3 grilled pork chops and skirt steak, accompanied by rice, refried beans, veggies and guacamole. The pork chops had nice char lines and were super tender. The skirt steak was a little tough, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. I finished my meal with a margarita. I added a nip bottle of Grand Marie. It made the experience so much better. I plan on going back soon and bringing some friends along so they can experience the charm and appeal this place has to offer.“
“I got a pork burrito with lettuce tomato and cheese, as well as a loaded baked potato. I’ll be honest with you, I don’t think I’ve ever had a burrito with that much cheese. Pork was awesome but my god there was so much cheese. If that’s your thing, ask for it, personally it kinda muddied the otherwise fantastic burrito. The potato was awesome though. The perfect comfort food on a cold day. Would’ve been five stars if there was maybe less cheese on the burrito, but that was optional, so I suppose that’s on me.“
“These are quite simply THE BEST tacos in the Valley! I have lived in Mexico and have tasted tacos all over the world....how lucky am I that these beauties are right in my back yard! I highly recommend the chorizo, birria and pastor tacos. And the whole elote (seasoned corn on a stick) is messy, in the best of ways, and BIEN RICO! The workers are wonderful and kind and work hard to get your order to you quick and accurate!“
“This location is better than the Northampton one. Get the carne asada (steak) burrito as it is much better than the chicken or bean. Reasonably priced and quick service when they are not slammed. You seat yourself and they bring it out to you. Good salsas and sides as well. Park in the subway Walgreens plaza if you don’t like street parking. My favorite Mexican place in the area above bueno and el camolito.“
“We tried Mexicalito for lunch yesterday, and one of us ended up getting a brunch item as well. The food was delicious and flavorful, and the handmade tortillas were a treat! So thankful for the fantastic vegetarian options as well! Jose takes care of you! Thanks for a delightful meal, we’ll be back!“
“The place is very authentic and they only speak Spanish here. Went for karaoke and the dj disappeared after it started and didn't come back so I left but had a great birthday dinner with friends. Food was good portions and yummy. Language barrier for others.“
“Bueno Y Sano is a great place to get a quick bite. The quality of the food is high for a good price. This is a good lunch and dinner spot if you are looking for something filling. I typically order the burrito and it is generously portioned. Good salads and vegetarian options too. Love the selection of different salsas as well.“
“This is very good Mexican food for the east coast. I got a chicken burrito and it was huge and delicious! I would recommend getting extra salsa on the side. The chicken was tender, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the beans were so flavorful! I wish there had been more salsa in the burrito, but overall it's very solid especially for being in western Massachusetts. Definitely the best Mexican food I've had in non-urban area.“
“SO GOOD !! I always go to this Taco Bell and, they only got my order wrong like 3 times ever! They mostly get it right all the time and the staff are always so kind. I also love how it doesn't take a long time to get your food! They always bring it fast.“
“So I have to say WOW! I been living near the area for 5 years and am an implant From down south and it’s hard to find a good restaurant with flavor!! I must tell you this has become my favorite restaurant in New England. The food is spot on and reminds me of home. (By the way if you like spice make sure you ask the chef to make it spicy ) it’s amazing! Looking forward to try the whole menu ?“
