Checkerboards is now a Hudson Staple. The food is always good and fresh, great pizza, dinner fare, Burgers, Gluten free items avaiable. The service is prompt and very friendly. It's a place where most people know each other. Perhaps a neighborhood pub. A welcome ambiance. Checkerboards made it through the pandemic, it wasn't easy but they did it. The place would nothing without the amazing food and service.One waitress in particular, went above and beyond to make our first experience great. She was classy, yet funny.As a Yankees fan, I didn't even mind her Boston hat. Her poor judgement in baseball was made up for by her great service. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Next time we're in the area we'll definitely be back!

The food was delicious and fresh tasting. It wasn't salty, but was very flavorful. I had the eggplant Parm dish and the vegetable pizza. Will return again for some more great food and great service. The prices are a little steep because of the quality and taste of their food, so it's worth paying. Thanks again for a nice dining experience. Well done.
