A actual hidden gem in lawrence, this family owned dinner really did suprise me in the beginning. This picture does not do the french toast any justice, but it was genuienly some of the best french toast I've had at a dinner. And the staff are really sweet, and the whole place feels very homely. I would absolutely recommend if you live in the area, or even if your passing by! This place has regulars for a reason!

this place is ok, the Buco (i thinks it’s called) sandwich was good but the golden pancakes were dry. the prices were fair and the service was mediocre 2.5/5

The owner is a total prick! He’s more worried about the parking situation than actually cooking good food and providing good service. He’ll call his buddies the meter maids to come give tickets to people who park near his stupid diner that’s only open half of the time. Eli’s food isn’t even good mind you. Not worth it, deff skip this place if you’re considering breakfast. You would get a better deal at ihop anyways!Parking: You’ll get ticketed for sure!

Eli's is a great place to have breakfast when you want that local family touch. Everything is cooked to order with a very fast turnaround. Plenty of room to sit and everything thing is very clean. The eggs Benedict is one of there signature dishes. We eat there at least once a month. My daughter loves the home fries.

The food is incredible, and the homemade hash stands on its own. Good luck finding a better wait staff, you can't. Owner operated by a couple that put their heart and soul into a really great place. It's the place to eat. The special board is always incredible in the ideas.????

I got delivery from here and it was good. The portions are huge, the pancakes were the size of the container (x3)… almost too much. Also, there were tons of chocolate chips. My only complaint is that they put the cold butter in the container with the hot pancakes. When I got my order, the butter was melted in one place… not ideal. So, I would recommend getting the butter in a separate container. But, the food itself was very good. Other than the butter thing, everything was very good.

Food was good but relatively expensive. Greeted quickly and pleasantly but unremarkable thereafter. Clean, friendly restaurant. Menu item accompanied by "fruit cup and toast; substitute with berries" I mentioned to the waitress when she brought berries and toast, no fruit cup, that I understood that to read berries to substitute toast not fruit cup. It actually meant substitute melon fruit cup with berries. She explained that would be a different "price point" and didn't address it further. I thought for the "price point" of the entire breakfast she could have offered to bring some melon out too. She didn't visit the table after that until it was time to serve the check. In the end, for the overall cost of this visit I was unimpressed.

I worked next door when this place was being constructed. The owners would always stop by and were super friendly. Once they opened we had to try it and oh my goodness Eli did not disappoint. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. Some places use some processed items and they do not. You can tell by the texture and flavor. Staff are always welcoming and friendly and have great interactions with all the customers. Love going here and would highly recommend if you are looking for a delicious breakfast!
