Good food and quick kitchen. Drinks are consistent. Primarily street parking but convenient location and crosswalks available. Stairs in front of bar to walk up and enter. One stall bathrooms. On the smaller side but good atmosphere. Live music played here is great.

My visit to Tavern on the Merrimack was nothing short of great fun. The highlight? Their cheeseburger! It's no exaggeration to say it's one of the best I've ever had. The flavors packed into it were amazing and they took the whole experience to another level. Despite being busier than a bee, our server never missed a beat. She took the time to explain the menu items, didn't keep us waiting for anything - be it our drinks, food, or the bill. Her dedication made our dining experience smooth and enjoyable. If you ask me, a visit to Tavern on the Merrimack is worth every minute. It's got great food, amazing service, and a pleasant vibe. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! So, if you're around and hungry, give this place a try. You won't regret it.

Ok so the food is frozen short order stuff. So not many here are actually eating. But the drinks are cheap and if you want to make friends with some local regulars this is the place. The service is friendly if not all that attentive as she’s busy chatting. And they have live music. Usually some guy playing guitar. But it’s good fun. Come.

So here right now. It's my third time in a couple of years so by def it's not a go to place. And to answer J I'm not within reach of any bathroom and in fact I don't even know where it is. And nothing smells. But - the food is mediocre at best. I just ordered fries tonight and they are not even ore Ida quality. Weak and overcooked. When I came a couple of years ago it was better. BUT. the bar environment is great- everyone super friendly. Service is good once the bartender stops chatting with the regulars. There is live music (kinda - a guy on a guitar trying his best) But that's the scene. If you want a cheap drink and some friendly conversation, come.

Fun atmosphere and a friendly, competent server. The food isn't anything special - egg rolls were pooled with grease and over-fried (can be an oil temperature problem) and the chicken tenders had to be returned because they were still raw inside (also probably an oil temp problem). The drinks were reasonably priced and strong, and the environment both inside and out back is conducive to socializing in a low-key way. I'd go back but would probably stick to French fries and a drink.

I rolled in here for food and a quick drink. I had the burger and Asian rolls. These well prepared and were on point for taste.

This a hidden gem to me. The good is awesome and the staff very nice. The g part is the back yard, if you will, that is more like an outdoor lounge.

It's a neighborhood bar. They got trivia. They got beer. They got food. Staff are good folks. My only complaint is that the kitchen is closed during trivia hours. We stopped going actually because they changed this. Hard to have a few drinks without good food. They say you can bring in food, order a pizza or something, but it's not the same and the pizza places nearby close around when trivia starts. (And a burger is what I'm wanting, ya know??)Otherwise it's a great place to hang with your friends and coworkers.

Best bar in town. Laid back, cozy and has a nice outdoor area. Helps that the food is decent and the bartenders are rockstars.
