“35 Beach is worth a visit! In the old Beach Street location in Manchester-by-the-Sea. New owners completely remodeled inside, and it is fresh and welcoming. Food and service are excellent! I had not realized they served breakfast too, until yesterday when we stopped in - was excellent and happy to have such a nice breakfast spot back on Cape Ann...”

“We were visiting Manchester by the sea and went to this restaurant for our first dinner, this did not disappoint whatsoever! First of all, the menu was amazing and had an exceptional amount of options. The ambiance was perfect with low music and lighting, great for families and couples on date nights! Service was pretty decent... we had a waitress who was training another one which was nice to see the work progress, overall they remembered everything and were very professional, kind, and knowledgeable.”

“My wife gets all the credit for introducing me to this restaurant. I didn't know what to expect, but definitely one of the best restaurants I've been to in Massachusetts. This place isn't just great food, but also extremely friendly staff. I unfortunately didn't think to take photos, but we got the whipped ricotta and shared the salad. I got the chicken dish and my wife the pasta. Everything was amazing. It does seem like the dishes are on a fairly frequent rotation so new dishes pop up unless I'm mistaken. Highly recommend trying this place out and make sure you get reservations as there is limited seating.”

“Pastries are delicious! We got the hazelnut buttercream, the pistachio (forget the name), pain au chocolat, and 6 macarons. Totaled around $35, which is expected for high quality pastries.The pain au chocolat was perfectly flaky and had a good amount of chocolate. My 1.5 year old loved it too. My husband loved the pistachio pastry. It was very light and fluffy. I loved the hazelnut buttercream, the flavor was so delicate yet so rich.The macarons we got were tiramisu, peppermint, rose, earl grey, lavender, and chocolate. I've only tasted the peppermint but it was delicious.We went around 4:30pm so not as much to choose from, probably because they were closing soon, but we were happy with our selections. We'll be back for sure when we are in the area.”

“Notch is everything you could want out of a brewery: excellent beer, delicious small bites, and plenty of space.Their beer is mostly German. I believe I had the afternoon Pils which was tasty and easy drinking.The service is incredibly friendly. At one point one of the gentleman walked past and ask if I wanted another beer when he saw it was empty. I've never had that happen at a brewery before.The food was excellent. I initially got the pretzel and my girlfriend got the pretzel bites. If I could've done it over, I would've just gotten the bites. The dip that it comes with was cheezy and it had bits of butter and I would come all the way back to Salem just for some more of that.We'll absolutely be back.”

“If I could give 10 stars I would. We have been going to A&D for months now and probably once a week on average. My 9yo son asks to eat there all the time. Why? Besides the food being delicious and just mouth watering (my favorite - the scallop tacos! every single time - not sure it's on the menu but ask for it!), but also because George & Nina and the rest of the crew take such amazing care of us. George is passionate about food, people and service. He lets us know when he has something delicious coming up on the menu so we can try it out. And if he feels something isn't right - he's not going to wait for you to say something.. he is very proactive! It truly feels like a family when we go in, we have such a great time :) Thanks George, keep up the amazing work, we are grateful for you.”

The dedication that Chef Sang Lee puts into each dish is life changing. What I love the most if that Chef gets the freshest fish right from Gloucester and New England. Keep it up! “You have to reserve a table. We waited for 20 min before they asked us what we wanted. And what was frustrating was, the table next to us came ten minutes after us. Was asked what they would like before us.The food was excellent! The prices were more than fair.I’m glad I went and tried them.”

“Kind of a love hate thing here. Their food is good-great. Their coffee is amazing. Their wait staff is sometimes nice but also kind of like folks at a yoga studio. There is a lot going on here. The interior is cute. I can't decide if it is worth the general moodiness. But also, people get to have feelings. And it is a nice place.”

“I got the Chopper Cheese and it was by far the best steak sandwich I’ve had in a long time. Rich flavor, great quality steak, and a perfectly toasted bun. And the hand cut chips were perfect. I only had a brief interaction but they seem very friendly and the shop is cool. I can’t wait to go back.”
