“This is a staple in Mattapan. Grew up coming to this place. Very nostalgic.Pleasant customer service. Food is good. Y’all just keep ya sodas up to date when it comes to expiration dates. If it’s old remove it from the fridge.”
“This was my first time eating at this restaurant and everything was delicious that I ordered. I had the potato greens with fufu. My husband had the roasted lamb with rice, and plantains. I will definitely be back to this restaurant.”
“Best Cubano sandwich I've had in a long long time,Also my GF needed to use the bathroom and none of the businesses around would help her out and the owner was awesome enough to let her use the one in the back. She ordered a Torta and Guava Agua Fresca thoroughly enjoyed both”
“Food is amazing but the service is EVEN BETTER! The staff are so lovely. We were truly blessed to have come to their shop. Please patronize this buisness as they definitely deserve your dollars. True Nigerians and tue Nigerian food. You can't get anything better than that!”
“I really like the chicken served here. The people are nice and you can get your food pretty quick! The chicken isn't dry - it's juicy and isn't old. The fries are VERY good. They are seasoned very well! I haven't tried much else from here, but if you're coming for the chicken, I strongly recommend.”
“This is by far the best Haitian restaurant I have ever eaten from. Their meat is fresh from the farm and not frozen which makes the dishes tastier and their meat is always tender and well spiced and well seasoned. I can eat there everyday and not get tired of it. The service is top notch!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you're looking to have a great Haitian meal!”
“1580 Dorchester MA, Dunkin Donuts, nice restaurant to visit for a coffee run. It's busy here . They charge for a cup of ice and whip cream, unless your drink comes made with it.”
“Joe helped me out professionally on my creative video and gained me 26,000,000 followers in the first 2 weeks. Highly recommend -pizza was also supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”
“I noticed the server didn't have her braids tied up and as she's serving the food her braids are all over the place, which is unsanitary and nasty. On top of being on her cellphone and messing up one of the orders after repeating it numerous times. I patronize this establishment often and have never experience or witnessed this before.”
“This is a great establishment, The food is exceptional. The staff are neighborhood friendly. If you are in the area and just looking for good food. I highly recommend this place.”
“build a meal with stewy oxtail, jerk pork, jerk chicken, etc. gravy on rice. dumplings. fritters. friendly owners. fried plantain. white rice. rice and beans. beef sandwiches. good prices! fast, takeout, credit cards accepted, and parking lot. availability on delivery apps, too.”
“I’m glad I didn’t listen to the reviews… I called and my food was ready for pickup 20 min later. Lady was nice and the lalo was bomb. Definitely going back!”
“I’ve lived in Boston all my life so of course I know about Simco’s. Usually I would order seafood when and if I ordered from Simco’s. Sometimes the menu would be slightly different in Roslindale oppose to Mattapan so I would order from the Roslindale location. My FAV sub or salad hands down is GRILL CHIX but I felt my number one spots have closed or the chef left. So yes I’m very picky when it comes to grill chix. I started ordering grill chix probably in 2023 from Simco’s for the 1st time. Just the salad at first. Then I tried the sub which was good but I wasn’t ordering every day or week like I did from my previous FAV ‘s. However since I haven’t ordered a sub for awhile from there I decided to last night 2/17/24. Well actually 2/18 since it was after midnight. OMG it was soooooooooo good. I tasted the grill. It is grill chix so it’s only right but you don’t always taste the grill as you should when it’s GRILL CHIX. Restaurants like to marinate their chix which is fine but you should also be able to taste that grill effect. Some places have grill chix but it’s roasted not grilled. To me that’s NOT grill chix. It’s roasted chix. I always like to make sure what I requested on the sub is visible like my Mayo n cheese n onions. The sub was so bomb I couldn’t stop eating to check. Nice and packed with beautiful fresh shredded lettuce. So I called Simco’s a few minutes ago to give the feedback and to ask if the same chef is there all the time or just in the evenings etc? I need that exact sub AGAIN!!!! I should’ve gotten his name. Lol but they will be there after 6pm. Lol”
“I’ve eaten at this place several times and the food was delicious. For people who say Las Vegas is better ???bless your heart, they false advertise snapper fish for something else, the rice is okay at best.”
“Woods Hill Pier 4 offers a dining experience like no other! Nestled by the water, the ambiance is both elegant and relaxed, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The farm-to-table concept shines through in every dish, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients that burst with flavor.”
“What a shame I didn't discover this place sooner. Very good atmosphere, charming service and great quality of food.We had dinner at the bar and I enjoyed the experience many times. The Oysters are very top. We also ordered tuna and sea bass tartare.I will repeat for sure”
“Best pizza in a very long time! Great atmosphere, great food, great cocktails, and most importantly, the service was was amazing. Thank you, Israel! If you’re looking for a pizza that’s not your average, check out The Salty Pig!”
“Been here many times. I legit think the French toast here is the best I've ever had (and I have had a lot of French toast). It's so perfectly fried, and there are many delicious topping choices. My favorite I've tried is the seasonal pumpkin one in the fall. Bit of a sweetness overload though, can't finish it all. But hot tip: they do half portions of French toast so you can combine it with something savory. I also like their sandwiches, biscuits, and home fries. Despite a lot of love for their pancakes, I'd say they are just fine. Mixed experiences with service are making me dock a star. Sometimes they are very slow and inattentive. Even with reservations, they sometimes make you wait a good bit for a table. I guess it makes sense since this place is SO busy. Without reservations, the wait on weekends is insane. So def recommend making one or coming on a weekday.”
“The food was delicious and experience was mind-blowing. I loved the small plates concept and got to try so many different dishes. Every bite was extremely flavorful and delicious. Za'atar bread was to die for. Staff was EXTREMELY polite! They were also very conscious of allergens and accommodated and offered allergan-free options.Place is a bit small and crowded but nothing too inconvenient.”
“The food is absolutely delicious! The Lamb Souvlaki and Slow Roasted Lamb, well seasoned, delicious, and tender. The Mkhlovani and the Arugula and Fig Salad were tasty and nicely done.”
“Went on a Saturday night, had the pleasure of being seated and taken care of by Gwynne and cooked for by Miles. Incredible service, wonderful food, and amazing wine recommendations. Couldn’t name a better place in Southie, let alone Boston. Dates, family visits, drinks with friends - bring them all here and make sure you ask for Gwynne and give a shout to Miles (get the pickles)! Will be back ASAP”
“Best restaurant in Boston. Yep I said it. I’ve been 4 times and it only gets better. Everything I’ve tried has been incredible. Favs include tallegio cappelletti and panna cotta.”
“THIS PLACE WENT FROM BEING ONE OF THE BEST GEMS TO A PLACE THAT FEELS SO UNCOMFORTABLE TO EVEN SET A FOOT IN. I'VE BEEN TO THIS PLACE FOR OVER 10 YEARS, SINCE PANDEMIC HAVE NOT GONE. WE FINALLY WENT, THE MINUTE I WALKED IN THE PERSON AT CASHIER SAID WHEN YOUR READY TO ORDER YOU COME HERE, BLINDED BY IT AS IS A RESTAURANT NOT A FAST FOOD SPOT I LOOKED AT HER AND ASK FOR THE MENU SHE LOOKS AT ME AND POINTS INFRONT OF HER TO GO GET IT MIND YOU, THERE ARE 3 OTHER PEOPLE BEHIND HER WHO WORK THERE .....I LET IT PASS AND TRIED TO GIVE THIS PLACE A SECOND CHANCE COMING BACK THE FOLLOWING WEEK AS THE FOOD ACTUALLY WAS GOOD THE WEEK PRIOR. WELL SERVICE WAS ONLY WORSE THIS TIME AROUND, THE WOMAN AT CASHIER LOOKED BOTHER BY JUST BEING THERE TAKING OUR ORDER AS THE TIME PRIOR OTHER PEOPLE BEHIND HER WHO ALSO WORKED THERE STANDING JUST THERE. WE GET OUR FOOD REALIZING I GOT CORN TORTILLAS ASKED IF THEY CAN BE SWITCHED TO FLOURONE OF THE EMPLOYEES RESPONSE WELL IF YOU DON'T EAT THEM THERE GOING TO THE TRASH AND I AM LOOKING AT HER LIKE OKAY IS FINE CAN I PAY FOR AN EXTRA ORDER OF TORTILLAS OF FLOUR. THE AMOUNT OF DISPLEASSURE THESE WOMAN HAVE BEING THEIR IS SO UNCOMFORTABLE DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY WHERE YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SERVED, ASIDE FROM THE FOOD FEELING SO RUSH THIS TIME AROUND AS WE GOT THERE AT 8 THEY CLOSED AT 10PM. I UNDERSTAND RESTAUTANT INDUSTRY IS NOT EASY BUT FOR ME TO GO TO AND SPEND MY MONEY IN A PLACE THAT FEELS SO FORCED TO WORK IS NOT WORTH MY TIME NOR MONEY.”
“the best Sicilian pizza and Arancini in America the USA ❤️ I've been coming here since my teenage years back in the 1980s ❤️ Thanks again Ralph and Paul the nicest people very friendly from your friend domenic ❤️ 5 stars A+ always ...”
“Eventide Fenway absolutely had the most amazing food I’ve ever tasted. Carefully crafted seafood cuisine, raw bar and great cocktails. I hear that there is a mothership location in Maine. I’ll try that too one day. PERFECTION! Great staff too”
“My wife and I found ourselves stuck in Cambridge as a result of certain family entanglements. We were feeling glum with no bright options for spending the evening. THEN.... we stumbled into Pammys and things went technicolor. We were seated at the southeast end of bar and were almost immediately sipping a 29 degree Martini and an Oaxaca Old Fashioned. In addition to being a really great bar full of fashionable, chatty and probably interesting local people, Pammy's also has a full menu of really great food including asparagus served with a cured egg yolk and a circle of something very tasty that resembles a large egg white cut into a slice. We also tried crispy mushrooms, some fish, pasta, bread pudding and some really delicious bread (which is offered free of charge, at least at the bar.) The staff of the restaurant, including a woman who I believe was the Eponymous Pammy of Pammys, were all very friendly and made us feel welcome being in Cambridge. We met a very nice person from Maine which was another exciting wrinkle to the experience. We will definitely go back the next time life throws us a curveball and we are stuck in the Boston metro area. A big thanks to Pammys for salvaging our night!”
“I've tried Ernesto's North End on two occasions. The first time I ordered pizza by the slice which was reheated to order. The second occasion I ordered a whole pizza which they made to order. The fresh pizza was much better than the pizza by the slice. The whole pizza took under 10 minutes to make. The crust was perfect and crunchy without the flop. The cheese and ricotta cheese topping was a little thick and kept falling off. But overall very good pizza. I'd say 5 star for the fresh made pizza and 3 star for the pizza by the slice. Workers were very friendly and the pizza with toppings was about $27 which was very reasonable.”
“THANK YOU TO THE ENTIRE KRASI STAFF.The hostess Jasmine is a GEM! She truly made our day. She went above and beyond for us!Every single staff member was so friendly, kind and welcoming. “I have to admit, I prefer the deep fried Haitian patty better but this bakery blew me away with the baked patty. The patty was flaky enough to feel the outer layer breaking away as you bite into it but the inner layers were soft and consistent. The filling as well as the dough were both delicious. If you’re trying get an authentic taste of Haitian baked goods I highly recommend La Baguette Prime Bakery.Langue de boeuf used to be a really nice treat for me back home.”
