We live in Natick and love Buttercup. That's why we were disappointed with our most recent experience. We stopped by on our way home to have a drink at the bar. There was one or two open seats so we figured one of us would sit and eventually another seat would open up. Only we were stopped by the hostess who told us other people (standing near the host station) had been waiting for bar seats. We were confused because we didn't realize that you couldn't just stand near the bar...read full review

Very popular locally because the food is excellent, the atmosphere lovely, and the service friendly. It was packed on a Tuesday night, so reservations are recommended. The spicy coconut mussels were outstanding, everything else delicious. Our one caveat was that the fried chicken could have had a lighter coating, and the portion was enormous.

We had a great meal, as usual. We love buttercup. The service was excellent. The drinks were great. We all had one the other of the special items they were fantastic. Highly recommend you'll enjoy it.
