“What a nice surprise, this place is without any doubts the best and more authentic Italian place in the Boston area. As starter we took rice supplì, focaccia, arrosticini and funghi marinati. With the supplì I felt to be back in Rome.As main dish we took the squid ink tonnarelli alle vongole, mamma mia! I felt to be in a summer night in my Sicily eating in front of the sea.Lastly as dessert we took the housemade gelato and the tiramisu, both were fantastic.Worth to mention the blood orange gelato, third time during the dinner that I felt I was back in Italy.Definitely I will come back, super recommended!“
“From the moment we opened the doors, we were embraced with open arms and a warm welcome that took some of the anxiety from being in a new restaurant. The dim-lighting and contemporary artwork painted a picture of what was to come, and we were actually looking forward to the experience, considering it was an out-of-the-blue evening decision.Service was great! The appetizers were even better, and I definitely recommend the Mussels and Fries to start off with - great, powerful flavors that make the mouth salivate and desire for more.We were also offered bread with olive oil as we decided on what to get, and I do wish the slices of bread had been toasted - just for the extra taste profile, but that didn't deter us.Our entree, the Roasted Chicken, was good also - however, the appetizers were the HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT with their complex flavors while being simple dishes. As for the De Pasquele's Pizza we got - too many toppings which weighed down the pizza, and the thin crust didn't help, which caused the slices unmanageable with one-hand grab.Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and am looking forward to visiting soon enough to try other dishes.“
“I have not been to Fiorella's for several years, but in the past we used to go every weekend after the theater. Food is excellent and the staff friendly. It is best to have a reservation because it gets very crowded. I highly recommend it. It does not disappoint. I give this Restaurant a five-star rating! I wish it were closer to home.“
“I went here like 10 years ago, then happen to revisit it tonight. All i can say is EXCELLENT all around: meal, service, atmosphere. I had the eggplant parm w spaghetti. And a bowl of minestrone soup...very tastey, not salty. The staff should be applauded and recognized for their friendly personalities and hard work!! Its a quaint atmosphere too. They also honor luncheon menu during dinner. Nobody does that in the industry.:^)Definitely coming back more often. Great Italian restaurant!!!“
“Local staple! Incredibly important and high quality restaurant with awesome awesome awesome food I love depasquales. All the subs and dinners are amazing. I wish they were open more but all truly bangin restaurants have short hours to keep you on a short leash. Highly recommend the chicken cutlet, chicken parm, and caprese sandwiches but everything's good. Eggplant parm is good if youre vegetarian“
“There was a version of the Lake that had a much different flavor 30 years ago. It was an Italian enclave, with a history that is very much different than the rest of Newton. Nonantum, or "The Lake," was the village with the oldest synagogue. It was right down the street from a Catholic church that, in my opinion, has an interior that has made me cry over the sheer artistic splendor of it.Tradition still plays a large part in this changing neighborhood, and it is finely displayed in this small sub shop on Watertown St. Like the old days, food prices were lower and food portions were a bit larger, and Guiseppe's does not try and overwhelm the customer with grandiose decor or expensive decorations, they are here to make you a sandwich or a salad. My honest recommendation is to go to Guiseppe's, and learn a little about the duality of this wonderful neighborhood. Sample the simpler part of the Lake and remember to leave a nice cash tip, because you're getting a lot of value out of the hard work of the owners!“
“I've been coming here for a while now, but a recent event impassioned me to leave this review.Let me start by saying that firstly, the food here is ALWAYS delicious and cooked to perfection. Never have I ever received something done badly, spilled, or over/undercooked.Secondly and lastly, the employees and manager here are very kind and understanding. Today, I put in an online order for a pizza, but through either my error or my phone's internet connection error, my comment of "no mushrooms please!" did not attach to the order. When I arrived, my order had mushrooms on and I told them that I had put "no mushrooms." Without fuss, I was told that they would make another pizza for me right away. While I was waiting, I realized that the comment did not attach for some reason, and quickly apologized for my error. They were entirely understanding and even let me keep the second pizza free of charge! This interaction of them "honoring" MY error was wonderful and will keep me coming back for a long time! Combine that with the fact that I heard they give free pizzas to the elementary school students nearby, I gotta say that this restaurant has become one of my favorite places to come to. Delicious food and good company, what more could you ask for!“
“BrickFire Pizza Co. ROCKS!!! I called from Nashville and ordered a surprise pizza delivery for my sister's birthday ( y'all went above and beyond...) The staff was AWESOME on the phone and upon delivery! So friendly and helpful. And the food was perfect! Not only were the pizza and wings delicious, but delivered hot and on time! They even wrote her a Birthday note on the inside of the box top! I highly recommend all my Boston friends (or if you are visiting the area) try out BrickFire Pizza Co.!!!!“
“My absolute favorite Italian restaurant around Boston. I am writing this review after moving away because I miss it so much!Their marinara is to die for. I love their arancini served with marinara. They have a really nice pizza and pasta selection too.Their tiramisu is a bit dry for my taste though.“
“When you are in Tartufo, you truly feel the European warmth and elegance in service, food quality and atmosphere! Happy this wonderful restaurant is right in the heart on Newton! Special compliments go to Anna, the owner, and Chris, the manager! Best wishes for many successful years! Best, Natasha “
“i just left here with surprised at how good Bertucci’s food and drinks were! lived in boston area my whole life and never checked it out untill today. me and my fiancé definitely will be here again service was great !! my server was good!!“
“Jinny’s has been our favorite pizza since they opened. Everything is amazing from the pizzas to the appetizers and the service is 10/10. The pepperoni pizza and caesar salad are a must! The ‘mike’s hot honey’ is great added on to the pizza. Don’t forget to add a buttermilk ranch dippin’ sauce for the crust. We do both dine in and take out. Seating is pretty limited so plan ahead. No reservations. Worth the wait! They move quick too.“
