“The food is DELICIOUS! SO GOOD, Whenever we are in town, we have to stop! Just left and ordered a #35 pho for me and my husband tried a new number! Unbelievable broth, flavor and they give more rare meat cuts than any pho place I’ve been “
“This was one of the most amazing dining experiences I have ever had. It was all perfect. Atmosphere, service and food all perfect. There really is not much more to say. I felt like I was scamming them for how inexpensive it was. I want to come back here just for this.“
“Perfect place for a quick and satisfying bite on the beach. I took myself here for my birthday, it's that good!I love the fresh rolls with tofu, dipped into peanut sauce. The pho is also good, as are all the rice dishes. There are few places where you can sit so close to the beach and watch the waves / people walking by - this is perfect for a crowd or for a solo diner.I appreciate the low prices and fresh taste of every dish I've had so far. It's a nice easy meal with friendly service. Good for your stomach and your wallet!“
“Food is really good and authentic. Pancake is delicious but, served as a special so you need to ask what day it will be available. Steak with noodles was also delicious but, again served as a special, not on the regular menu. The restaurant is nice, lots of seats and bar to sit at, the owner and staff are very welcoming and friendly. If you like authentic Vietnamese food this is the place!“
“This was our first time visiting The Bangkok and it will NOT be our last! We decided to be complete fat@$$es — I mean adventurous — and delved into the small plates. If you are a person of small appetite, 1-2 small plates is enough for you (we did not stop there!). For apps/small plates, we shared the veggie crispy rolls and curry roti (fried scallion pancake). The rolls were perfectly crisp without being oily with a healthy side of pickled carrots and radish over lettuce and sweet/sour dipping sauce. The roti was served hot and crispy with a soft lemongrass soup sauce. Amazing! My carnivorous spouse added a small plate of ribs, too; she describes the ribs as “good.” In more elaborate details the curry on top tasted of a savory scallion and red beans that fit nicely with the meat of the ribs that fell from the bones (may the poor cow’s soul rest in peace).Moving onto entrees, I have a habit of testing Thai restaurants with tofu red curry. This was a healthy portion — too much to handle in one sitting — was a New England American (white people) spicy 5:10 after asking for extra spicy, luckily there was chili oil on the tables for additional spice. Anyway, the curry was creamy, not watery and had a beautiful mix of beans, red peppers, bamboo, tofu, pea pods, and chunks of eggplant, plus a side of rice. I would definitely get it again!Partner in murdering Thai food today got khao soi noodle dish that had a light yellow curry spicy (caliente) sauce with noodles, scallion, greens, herbs, vegetables, and a whole freaking chicken leg grass in a lemon grass coconut sauce, which I’m told tasted amazing. Again, God rest that chicken soul. We finished off fat@$$fest with the mango sticky rice. Well, the taste was impeccable with the just perfectly ripen mangoes, I would suggest just slightly more coconut sauce, but keep in mind I am an Asian American, not an Asian Asian. The service was wonderful and each of the people serving us was on top of our table without being overbearing. And the best part was for all of that we spent around $66 without tip. I highly recommend if you are in the Melrose area and really looking for some authentic, delicious Thai food.“
“I work within walking distance of Soall Cafe, so I'm lucky enough to have this lunch option every day. I've sampled much of the menu and its clear that an abundance of pride and quality goes into each offering. Wholesome alchemy is abound with fantastic flavors, ideal portions, pronounced quality, and warm service. If Soall were the only available lunch option, I would be ecstatic to not be distracted by other meals! My go-to dish is the Curry Chicken Noodle Soup which I could enjoy every day and never fatigue from the expert balance of flavors and textures. Although there is a sense of longing at the end of the meal, the satisfaction from a healthful satiation follows for the rest of the day without an afternoon slump from less nutritious options. This is a true gem and not to be missed.“
“I live much closer to Saigon Hut, which is pretty OK, but upon the advice of someone in my run club, we traversed from Eagle Hill to Orient Heights to try the further away Vietnamese place with the word Saigon in its name, New Saigon. Ok wait this place is so good!! The two are not related, it appears NS used to be located where SH is now, but it moved to a New place, hence the name. Anyway! It's a pretty cute, unfussy, typical-looking restaurant. The service was great, attentive but not overbearing. The menu itself is, again, pretty standard -- I got a vermicelli bowl, I think my husband got a rice bowl, we split some spring rolls and dumplings. But I really feel like somehow the sum is greater than its parts. Every ingredient/component of every thing we ate was just... delicious! Super fresh, perfectly seasoned, cooked exactly right... things you (or at least I) don't really notice when you're eating meat veggies and a starch mixed together in a bowl... but when it's done perfectly, it makes such the difference! Affordable, quick, friendly, delicious-- definitely worth the "trek" across Eastie to eat again!!“
“Lovely setting with spacious seating and light open atmosphere. We were promptly greeted and our order was taken not too long after sitting down. I ordered a Beef and Broccoli with noodles and I quite enjoyed it. Can't wait to visit again!“
“10 Stars, if we could. My wife and I felt like we’re let in on a well-kept secret; Sa’s inspired menu and food are exceptional, truly. Her sauces are just so f-ing good they brighten-up each and every dish; The Mango Salad, the Sticky Ribs, the Shrimp (best I’ve ever had) and then the Soups…Ohhhh the Soups. What an amazing women and visionary; Bringing such goodness to Beverly; we are in awe:) and in love w/ SOALL. See you soon, Sa!“
“We tried bahn mi grilled pork sandwich, pork spring rolls, Vietnamese coffee black boba, unsweetened tea black boba, mango smoothie with black boba and mango smoothie with mango boba. Everything was delicious!! Fresh ingredients and no sweeteners in our smoothies. Staff was knowledgeable and went out of their way to accommodate my crying 8 year old when she decided that she also wanted black boba in her smoothie like her brother. I wish I took pictures of our delicious food! Next time! We’ll be back!“
“This is a very small restaurant so seating is limited.Where i found lacking, was the service and the seating arrangements.I get we were there on a busy sunday night. But for Pho i felt like it took way too long.It was almost 45 mins. With hungry kids it was a little annoying...The other part was the way the door opens to the tables. I was very unconfortable cold during the time we went. The food itself was pretty good. The price was fair. But wasnt a WOW experience overall.Would still recommend to satisfy a PHO craving if in the area.“
“restroom is very clean, A plus to me.... then the pho noodle soup is very good, much better than the one Pho Hua used to be, soup base is tasty not just hot water like other stores! we had the make yourself spring rolls plates, all greens are so fresh, meats are tasty and in good price so we keep going back ever since ...staff are very friendly, service is fast and always pay attention“
“I took my son for seafood pho with noodles . The soup was served with fresh sprig of basil you add as little or lot as you want . The chopsticks aren't throw away ones but you get to take them hone each set is in its own paper that says the name of the restaurant. I got vietnamese coffee which is super strong with condensed milk in it.I only took one child I assumed this restaurant was not able to do allergy safe stuff so I had to wait and take only one of my kids. I spoke to a friendly young guy at cash register he said yes they could accomadate and make my other son a pho with no cross contamination with egg peanut tree nut.The restaurant is spacious and very clean nice seats near a window . Tye smallest order of pho was enough to take home a second meal. They'll provide a big leak proof tupperware to carry pho home . I liked sitting by the huge window to watch the bustling city scape going on outside while I drank me coffee.Dietary restrictions: They said they can definitely make a pho that has no peanut egg milk or tree nut but I haven't ordered it yet for the other son with the epi.“
