“Cims is like my Cheers. Yes, when I go there a lot of people do know my name. But I can go by myself and strike up a conversation with anyone from anywhere and have fun. It is really nice to get to know people from the area, as well as out of town who have never experienced the Berkshires. I highly recommend all of their food, but some of my favorites are the Brandy wings bone in or boneless, I think they call them Cims Wings. The lobster roll is delicious as are the fried scallops and the Fried chicken basket. It is usually on the special board. It is a very sweet better and totally delicious. I have never in 15 years been disappointed with any food I get from there. They also have a great beverage selection as well as many TVs to watch a variety of sporting events including the weather channel“
“very nice and hard working servers. kitchen staff were on top of it as well. we had payton, extremely attentive, 10/10 service. great food, great atmosphere, and might i add a very handsome salad man.Dietary restrictions: gluten free optionsWheelchair accessibility: ramp“
“The best blueberry pancakes around! Tasty food, amazing low prices and the friendliest staff. The restaurant is 70 years old and they haven’t updated much with the interior but that’s why it’s so charming. If you need frills, this isn’t the place for you. For everyone else… run here. It is cash only!“
“We happened upon Flo's while visiting the area.It doesn't look like much from the outside but once inside it is like a step back to a simpler time. Katie was our waitress. She was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast menu is extensive and the food came quickly and was good. The coffee really hit the spot. So happy we stopped in“
“I went to dinner last week with a friend and my significant other. Everything we had was delicious! Shrimp and grits were AMAZING! We also had pulled pork with the dirty rice. So good! Not to mention the drinks..... Craig served us amazing drinks!! We will be back“
“Can there be some sort of vaccination karaoke night lol. 5 years ago the last time I went there it was awesome I don't drink but it was cool to hang out with all the local townies everybody was cool there as long as you're an alpha male but I would really like to see some karaoke“
“My wife and I went on Saint Patrick's Day. Obviously it was packed but a great experience. Wait staff was amazing and very attentive. The food was amazing! Pricing was reasonable for the holiday time. The drinks were strong and good. Staff was awesome the location was comfortable. I have been back since the holiday everything was still amazing. Pricing is typical for a pub In a tourist area to be honest. But service, food, and location is worth every penny.“
“Listen, I have worked in, and helped manage resturaunts, and this is a chain restaurant that works really hard to provide good service, comfortable atmosphere, and very good food and portions for a more than a reasonable price! I, myself, and my family have been patronizing this establishment for more than 15 years. It has never been less than fantastic for a family based restaurant. IMHO, give it a try.“
“I'm pretty sure this is the best fried chicken in the Berkshires. I ordered buffalo wings with french fries and everything was perfect Our food was cooked to order, the wings were fall off the bone tender and wonderfully crumchy. The french fries tested like the were cooked in fresh clean oil. The young man behind the counter was very polite and helpful as well.“
“Stopped in on our way home in search of a good steak. Unfortunately, we did not realize that the steak we saw online was a Valentine's day special and no longer available the following night. So we opted for a cheese & charcuterie appetizer, steak frites, and pork tenderloin for our mains. The cheese selection was very nice accompanied by out-of-this-world garlic jam. There was a $5 additional charge to add the charcuterie - a helping of speck. We would have appreciated even a $10 add-on with more salumi variations. The frites & tenderloin while very good, were not exciting in flavor profile. The Burnt Old Fashioned was excellent as was an interesting red varietal (never had it and the name escapes me). Portions were great as well as the staff & surroundings.“
“We had the pleasure of dining at Jae's twice in recent months. On both occasions, we were indeed very fortunate to have Brian as our server. Brian was friendly and welcoming, and he made us feel at home due to his positive energy. Food-wise, the highlight of my dinner on the second occasion was the Jae's Special Roll - delicious! We will be back, and we will ask for Brian.“
“When we entered, there was about a 10 minute wait. We were seated as soon as possible. The owner was very visible throughout the restaurant and made sure that everybody knew that it wouldn’t be long. He was very involved in making sure everyone was taken care of. When we were seated, Jenny was our server and she got our drink order and returned promptly with them. Jimmy had a captain and coke and he said it was good. I stick with my usual— Diet Coke on the rocks— lol — Jenny brought our bread out and took our order. We got the scallops as an appetizer and we each ordered the same thing, it was the Highland Trio which consisted of a generous piece of chicken Parm, with an amazing/perfect amount of sauce, a humongous sausage link and an equally huge meatball — which anyone could tell was homemade (even my mom would have raved about it and she was picky). It came with a very generous portion of pasta and sauce as well as a salad. Everything was delicious. I ended up having leftovers (Not sure how anyone could possibly finish all of the food we got) but Jenny helped me pack up. We are not big dessert and coffee people but the desserts did look delicious in the dessert case. Perfect timing on everything. The Highland is truly a hidden gem in the city of Pittsfield and I would highly recommend it to anyone that lives here or is visiting. You will not be disappointed.“
“Terrific chicken! In fact, best chicken we can remember. The Cajun seasoning is perfect. Beans and rice are very good. Next time you have a hankering for fried chicken skip the grocery stores, skip the road trip to the Bennington KFC. Head over to Krispy Krunch on East St. You won’t be disappointed.“
“Sure, the location has changed ownership a handful of times. They've tried dual concepts, from pizza to now Indian food. It's a rough spot for businesses in my opinion, there is very little parking there on Main St. if the spots are already taken up. But I continue to get fried chicken a handful of times a year from here because it's consistent for mass marketed birds. If you are going to do just a handful of things then do them well. And the chicken is about as good as it gets for fast food style. Perfectly seasoned, maybe a tiny hint of spice and cooked to the perfect temp to ensure crispiness. I always get the dark meat, plus it's a little cheaper. I don't understand heathens who swear by white meat that has very little flavor. I tried the tenders one time and was even given one because they are "cajun" style so I wanted to make sure they didn't heat up the mouth of the kids. Flavor is excellent and I didn't taste spice at all. For the sides, the biscuits if freshly cooked are perfect, but they do tend to dry out quickly. My kids love the mac and cheese, it is very very yellow-cheesy and goopy, if that's your style. I'm ok with the mashed potatoes, they are definitely instant and I wish they had more gravy or at least it came on the side like KFC serves. I really like the customer service and camaraderie here. I've been inside before on a busy Friday night and it's mostly Indians chit chatting with one another. It has a very homely feel at times when in reality it shouldn't because it's just a storefront counter selling a handful of items. So let's recap as to how we got to the final score.Location 3/5 starsChicken 5/5 starsSides 3/5 starsService 5/5 starsTwo of the most important areas in my book got this up to 4 stars for the type of food it is. Fast, friendly and the star of the show is delicious!“
“Fantastic hidden gem only 18 minutes from Jiminy Peak. We stopped in with our 4 kids, one of which is anaphylactic to peanuts, simply because they are a nut free kitchen..... but what a meal and there was talented local live music playing too. We had potato skins (bacon was crispy perfection), tomato soup, grilled cheese, turkey club with cheese, chicken fingers, and an iceberg wedge with creamy blue cheese dressing. We will be back, not only because they were so kind in giving us a safe dining experience, but because sure the food quality and pricing was outstanding.“
“The place was super busy, but we were able to find a table quickly. The service was quick, and the food was quite tasty. We ordered the fried green beans as our appetizer. They were perfectly fried and the sour cream and horseradish dip was delicious. We ordered three of their baby hot dogs with "everything" (special sauce, mustard, and onions. The baby hot dogs are about 3.5 " long and simply adorable. They were yummy. My husband ordered their Texas burger, it does not come with a side. It would have been nice if our server had pointed this out. The patty looked dry but overall it was okay. I ordered the buffalo mac & cheese. The portion was sizable and nicely presented in a sizzling cast iron skillet. It had some heat but not a lot of buffalo flavor. It was cheesy and had a few pieces of chicken throughout. I enjoyed the meal.“
“It is the best place ever and it’s my favorite place in the world besides Golden Corral, and the food ? so good. The stage when my mom comes here sho spends hours talking to them on how good their serves is. I love this place!?!?!Kid-friendliness: Kraft Mac and cheese! It’s my kiddos favorite there is something for even the pickiest kid!“
“This is a beautiful property on Pontoosuc Lake. There is a restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating all with lake views. It is also an event venue. The food is delicious and the staff are all friendly and professional. Our new favorite place in Berkshire county.Parking: Large lotWheelchair accessibility: Elevator, ramp, flat parking lot.“
“I live in Florida and when I come back to visit family, usually a week at a time, this is one of my first stops. Sometimes twice during the week. Delicious food. Awesome staff. Always good to my family. They have done breakfasts and dinners of pay as you can, IF you can, which i admire. And the "bad" reviews and staff comments are killing me ?“
“We go to Applebee's often as it's in our area. But this past time we went we had asked to have the appetizer sent with our meal because we have 4 kiddos and they had meals without them so my husband and I did not want to eat in front of them on top of that we waited an hour and a half for food while others there after us got there's now I would under if it was a salad but it was literally a full meal. Never have had this much trouble with Applebee's... that's my gripe!Wheelchair accessibility: This is wheelchair accessible“
