Went at opening (6 AM), and many of the pastries had not been put out yet. However, one of the workers grabbed a pork floss bun from the back for me when I asked. They were also pushing for me to get a pork curry bun. There was a bit of a language barrier, so I'm not sure if it's because it was the only fresh thing they had at the moment or if it is because it is one of their best sellers, but I opted for just the pork floss bun, as that's what I was craving. At $1.75 for the portion size, I would say it was slightly cheaper than other places (cash only, by the way). However, the taste was not as good. The bun had a good rise, but it was a bit dry, and the pork floss wasn't fluffy. I ended up only eating a quarter.

Awesome! Great value!

Food here is okay and the baked cookies and egg tarts tend to crumble or melt in your mouth.

While I live in downtown Boston close to Chinatown, Mei Mei’s pastries are delicious and worth the drive to Quincy. They are one of the few places in Boston that still make homemade pastries and the taste sets them apart from the others. They are super affordable too!

Helpful, and friendly, I felt warmly greeted, and was immediately assisted. The bread that is baked with so many of their offerings is so light, fresh, and delicious.

***This review is strictly for their cakes. ***I ordered a cake from this bakery. The cake was beautiful! However, the flavor was mediocre at best.I did not try anything else from their bakery. The staff was very nice, polite and patient.I would be interested in going back and trying some of their smaller baked goods. However, as I mentioned before the only thing I have tried is a personalized cake, and I was not happy with the taste of said cake.

Worse cake I ever had in my life, never buy again, no one finish the cake and no one want to pack the cake home.

I didn't like the cake I tried recently. It didn't taste sweet and wasn't as good as I expected. The flavor was weak, and the cake felt dry instead of moist and tender. It lacked the sweetness that a good cake should have, almost like a diet version. I missed the usual sweet burst that makes cakes enjoyable. Overall, the cake was disappointing, with its bland taste, dry texture, and lack of sweetness making me question why I even tried it. This experience reminded me of the importance of having high standards for a delicious cake. What should I do with the remaining cake? We had 15 people over, but no one wants to take it home.

THE worst HK style pastry I ever had in my life! 芋泥酥has no flavor and tastes like wax. The other buns are also terrible. I bet they didn’t add egg, milk or even sugar in their product. Avoid at all cost!

Dedicated bakery! Open early! Fresh bread and bun. Fresh made drinks! Been there at least 20 times! Try their egg tart and all kinds of buns, Congees, soy milk. This place is awesome and workers are friendly!

Omg PLEASE come here is you are in the area and looking for cheap Asian eats! It's cash only (there's a Chase ATM in the train station two blocks away) so just be aware of that, when my boyfriend and I went we didn't know and we were $3 short and the owners said not to worry about it (don't worry we came back after going to the ATM to drop off a tip). We got some buns and some gyoza but the real star of the show is the roasted pork buns. They're frozen in the little freezer to your left when you enter. The lady (who I presume makes all these things) was offering a wide selection (they even have zhong Zhi!) I didn't expect much from the roast pork buns because I usually hate things that taste too much like pork, but the sauce was perfect and the meat was so tender and didn't give off that super strong pork flavor. These are the best roast pork buns I've had in MA!

One of the few places that has handmade pastries! Most bakeries order pastries from outside.I tried the custard bun and it was delicious. Not too sweet, fluffy and pretty large for the low price.Be prepared to pay cash only. There's an ATM in the store adjacent. It's worth it because the prices are so affordable for how good these are.

Mom and Pop type non-pretentious bakery cafe with real homemade HongKong style food. Go see the mom who’s baking skills rival more expensive High-end restaurants.
