I recently visited this SGD Dubu near Braintree, MA, during my trip to Boston, MA, and it was a delightful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was top-notch. We tried the Tteok-bokki, which was incredibly flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The noodles from the soup with beef were a hit at our table, and the seafood scallion pancake was a must-try. What sets this place apart is its limited menu, which ensures that each dish is of excellent quality. They also offer lunch specials, which are worth it. Additionally, the food was served promptly, which was great since we were a group of 9. The best part was that they were happy to accommodate splitting the payments. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I would highly recommend."

One of the top Korean dining destinations in Quincy, this place never fails to impress me. The ambiance is warm and tranquil, making it perfect for a peaceful meal or engaging conversation with company. The staff are incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. While the menu is compact, it offers enough variety to satisfy any appetite, featuring Korean BBQ plates and a selection of appetizers. Their soondubu and bibimbap plates are particularly noteworthy for their rich flavors. Every visit leaves me feeling thoroughly satisfied. Undoubtedly, it's among my favorite spots on the South Shore.

I can't believe I never wrote a review, this is one of my favorite places to eat in Quincy. I love soondubu, I love bibimbpap, I love Korean pancake and I love banchan. I never tried to order that japchae at this location but it is one of my favorite foods, the menu say it has beef so I assume they prep it that way but if they do just a veggie one I would be more than happy to order it. Anyways so the rice here is amazing, I'm not talking about the delicious toasty stone pot rice, that's great too but just the steamed rice. It's perfect, the flavor is perfect and the just it's great rice. I found myself eating just the steamed rice from my leftover and I had an ear to eat grin on my face, then I had to stop since I planned to have it for breakfast tomorrow. Honestly if I lived closer and didn't want to make rice I'd probably even one here for that

First time at this place and we loved it. We went for lunch after looking at tons of places on google and read amazing reviews about this place and thank God we chose to come here. The short ribs were sweet and delicious, the beef soup with the extra sides was awesome and rice.

Don't trust the good reviews here. They are all fake. This is the so far the worst Korean restaurant I have ever been to in Boston area.Their seafood and beef tofu soup has little seafood and beef (1 small oyster, 1 shrimp, 2 clams and small beef pieces) See pics. The seafood ain't even fresh.2 tofo soup + seafood pancake cost ~$60. Very expensive and portion super small. Robbery in day light

Bowls are plastic. Not good at all for hot soup. That’s the only thing that would keep me from coming here more often.

The food is ok but this store always closes early. Online says closes at 9:30 yet we arrived at 8:43 and they weren’t taking customers because their kitchen apparently closes at 8:40… That’s 50 mins before what they advertise..

I’ve come here many times and it’s a great place to customize your own soondubu stew. Choose from spicy levels to proteins, make it your own. Choose kalbi over bulgogi. Seafood pancake is solid. One of the few Korean restaurants that is consistent, so I’ll be back soon again.

I’ve tried the scallion pancake, bibimbap, and sundubu-jjigae. The portion sizes are good, but the quality and prices are average. If you’re just craving Korean food, this is a decent option. No complaints.

Decided to come back to one of my favorite Korean restaurants. The kimchi pancake is a must get! The texture on the inside is perfect, and has a nice crispy crust! The tofu soup was chocked full of tofu and has the perfect spice level (level regular). The kalguksu noodles were a great chewy touch that amped up the overall dish. The portion was generous and the dumpling soup came with 5 of them. The spicy pork bulgogi was phenomenal as always. The squid bibimbap was nicely cooked and was the perfect texture. The only thing is, it so tough to decide between a tofu soup and some pork bulgogi. I would love if they added a combo option to a get a little of each! The service was very quick and all the servers were nice. The restaurant was spacious, clean, and had some fun K-pop songs playing that added to the experience. If you are looking for some Korean food in the Quincy area this place is a must try!

Have been to SGD a handful of times over the years, though finally writing a review. My partner and I got the soondubu jjigae (spicy w beef), bibimbap (hot stone plate w beef), and japchae -TASTE: 4/5 - everything was satisfying, from the fish cakes in the free banchan sides, to the strong sesame oil flavors in the japchae and the pleasantly spicy stewTEXTURE: 5/5 - the food was fresh and piping hot, so we both nibbled slowly for ~10min to wait for it to cool down and be enjoyable lol. The chewy japchae noodles hit the spot, my tofu was so silky and soft, and the edges of the bibimbap rice were nice and crispPRICE: 4/5 - our total came to $64SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - left feeling full, w half of the japchae and soondubu jjigae for leftovers SERVICE: 4/5 - walked in at 6pm on a Thursday, and the space was fairly empty. We were seated quickly and, after ordering, our food came out 10-15min later on a cartATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - nice space to dine in w bowls as decor on the walls PARKING: 5/5 - the Kam Man parking lot is tight and often packed, but usually guaranteed a spot in the plaza!

Overall super good! I feel like there used to be an egg that came with my jigae but maybe I'm wrong. The restaurant was a little busy when I went, but the service was fast. Our waitress did forget about us as it got busier so that was the only downside

Great Korean spot in south shore area to save a drive into Boston. Atmosphere and service are great here. Located in a plaza so parking won't be an issue!Wifey and I always get seafood tofu soup and the beef short ribs to share.
