When in on Monday with a few friends for dinner. The first thing I noticed was all the fruit flies everywhere. I counted at least 10 on the wall in the corner we were sat at. There were bait raps out for them at the bar (a little apple shaped trap). The service was great and our waitress was very kind and attentive. My biggest complaint is that I ordered a gluten free meal due to having celiac disease. I was assured by the team that there are dedicated fryers and prep spaces. Also that their team is well trained in allergies.I got incredibly sick that night which can happen with even just cross contamination. I was throwing out my leftovers when I noticed a regular non gluten free noodle (I was told they only offer penne for a gluten free substitute and it was not one of those).I called and let them know what happened. The lady on the phone offered to take my name and number to have a manager call me and refund my order but I declined as it wasn't the point of my call.I'm leaving this review because I was assured this was a safe place from many people at the restaurant and the find me gluten free app where I have left another review warning others what happened so nobody gets sick. Im deeply disappointed by the lack of care shown by whoever made the food that night.

Fat Cat is a great place to get classic Boston food like Lobster Mac and Cheese. Wow! What a plate. Easily feed three people if you are in a sharing mood. The Chicken Philly was also on the larger side and excellent. A little bit of a wait for our larger table but that usually indicates it's worth waiting for.

The portions are huge so come with an empty stomach! We ordered the mac and cheese, Philly cheesesteak, and fried pickles and only finished 25% of the food. It felt like 3 meals in one! Total bill was $45/pp for two and we both went home with leftovers. A great place if you’re looking for something to eat in Quincy

My wife and I, we go here every once and while. Usually, when she wants wings. It's the only place my wife gets them cooked the way she likes them. Me.. I think they're awesome. The drinks are great, a little on the high-priced side, but they're great. Service is usually spectacularTry them out for yourself. They won't disappoint...Attached picturesHot Wings (For my Wife)Sauage plate (For me) old school...Salad (We split)

Love this place, it's cute, cute idea and the people that work there are super nice and friendly. They have pretty much every gluten free option you could ever hope for. I have a dairy allergy though and literally almost everything on their menu is made with dairy. By the time you whittle down the dairy free, there are maybe 5-6 non dairy entree options, and they're only okay. So I've actually never enjoyed the food there, but my cheese loving friends love it.2 other points. The cocktails are verrry expensive. The bathrooms are outside the restaurant. (Like in the hallway of the main building.) To me that's not that big of a deal, but it could be weird.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options.

I am a local and came here plenty of times at both old and new location. Service was great. The new location is spacious and clean family-friendly and music was good and at the perfect volume level. Food is not my fav-but if I had to choose a face dish from here it would be the bbq nachos -the cocktails were tasty. The fried pickles were way too salty but the side sauce helped ease the cringy overly salty appetizer. Max n cheese wasn’t cheesy enough but large portion.Parking: Parking in the Main Street with other businesses and restaurants was somewhat hard to find on an early weekend evening

We came here to have dinner, it’s our first night out since coming into town. We’ve encountered many rude people but when we came in the service was amazing. They greeted us and were very friendly. Andrew made ordering easy! Gina is also amazing!! We ordered the mussels with spicy tomato sauce and the fish and chips. The meals were delicious. We will def be back!! Thank you so much

We used to love this place before it changed locations. The other location used to be packed every night, the vibe was great, it never disappointed. We never have seen this place busy and fun now. Since they moved to Hancock St. unfortunately everything changed, and not for the better. We won't go there anymore..... The atmosphere is ugh, the whole experience including the service is nothing like the warm, inviting place it used to be. But believe it or not, the main reason is the discontinuation of the wonderful bread basket and black bean dip they used to serve forever! They are too cheap to offer it now. All the other restaurants we frequent went back to serving bread and rolls after they stopped for a while during Covid....not this place!! At least they could offer it "upon request". I hope the manager reads this and maybe they will take my advise! We miss the lobster Mac and cheese, we used to visit on a regular basis, it was one of our favorite restaurants. but have no interest in the new location. Maybe if they go back to the bread and bean dip.....maybe!!

What happened to the rich, creamy flavors and food quality? From the minute you walk in the door, you can feel how Fat Cat lost its way. Gone is the fun, lively, funky feel-instead it could be a stripped down chain. The food is mediocre, no interesting flavors or preparations: perfect example: different types of wings taste like standard frozen wings with different sauces poured over them. No one dish made me want to go back.

It was a really bad experience tonight! Arrived around 10:20 p.m., was seated for two, and after ordering only one individual was questioned for identification by a waitress with curly blonde hair. I must admit that we had previously dined earlier in the month & the greeting wasn't the best, but we ignored it as the drinks and food were okay and I had no trouble ordering drinks that night. Now When I suggested to the waiter I could pull up my Id from my phone it was refused and then The waiter suggested she would send someone else over as I had informed her of our prior experience. Then I was informed by this waitress that it was the owner’s request who was present and never approached our party. I’m Not going to recommend this establishment as they seem very bias, as from the time we walked in the door it felt as though they did not wish to serve us.

I’ve been a fan of Fat Cat since they were at their other location - back when I lived in Quincy in 2017. Never had bad service until today. Food was good as always, (mac and cheese, honey mustard wings)the 2 women working were both working the bar. They seemed more interested in conversing at the bar with a couple there as opposed to providing service- it wasn’t busy either. My husband had to ask for another drink, neither one of them came over to ask him if he wanted another drink OR to check on either one of us after the food was delivered. Guy who was the hostess there as well seemed disinterested and was on his phone the majority of the time we were there. Overall- great food mediocre service.

It is a tradition for my brother and I to have a meal at The Fat Cat whenever I visit Quincy. I love their burgers and local draft beer. They moved to a new location on Hancock St.. When compared to the prior location, The Old Fat Cat had more character and an atmosphere like your friendly local pub and restaurant where you go to see buddies for some beers. This is the reason for the 3 stars rating for the atmosphere. The food and service were excellent, and good value too. We ordered the mussels with basil & coconut broth, burger, and a pastrami sandwich. I opted out of the fries for a very generous platter of Caesar salad. We washed the burger and sandwich with some IPA beers. Excellent meal with consistent quality and good service after so many years.

This was my second time getting food from here. The first time I ate in with a group and the food was decent. This time, I was looking for a quick bite after work and got a salad with salmon to go.The salmon in a separate container was salty and dry, but not inedible. Unfortunately when I opened up my salad container a lot of the leaves were wilted and bad. I picked some out but eventually I couldn’t continue eating. I don’t even think the greens were washed. This was very disappointing.

WOW….READ THIS REVIEW!!!! A Culinary Dream come true. I have been in Quincy for a year and somehow missed this heavenly location. Looking at the menu posted in the window I thought I had stepped back in time as it had only “GEM’S” . No weak menu items here. I decided to have three appetizers as the selection was so amazing I could have had eight as the selection was amazing. I started with the seared ahi Tuna that was so fresh I thought I was on a fishing boat on the Outer Banks. The portion was generous and the flavor profile was perfect. I then moved on to the Rhode Island calamari. This is the calamari that melts in your mouth. The pan fried peppers, onions and olives made this the best version of this classic. I saved my favorite Steamed Mussels in a Spicy coconut broth my last item of the day. The Mussels were so fresh and the sauce was amazing. The four huge pieces of Toast were perfect for Dipping. With each appetizer I enjoyed a different Fresh Draft Beer from the very current list of choices. This place was a blessing to find and will be my go to when dining out in Quincy. The Prices to me were pre COVID and the most reasonable in Town. Enjoy Quality fresh Food with great service at amazing prices here. Ten Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Parking: I would walk a 3 miles to eat this incredible food. Make that 5 miles. Best food in Quincy.
