“It's a bit shocking as you expect a dive bar, and they do have dive bah tendencies, and the food is all amazing! Talk about service, the bartenders are some of the best around. You're not going to go here for high end, you are going to go here to understand what a neighborhood bar and restaurant is. When I told him I was in my car outside of his restaurant, he took my order, and he made me the best steak bomb I have ever tasted!! Good food, good people…. And a new customer. “I finally got to Hoey's. First, IT'S PIZZA AND SALAD, THAT'S IT. Second, the pizza is good. My problem is that it took so long to get it. I tried calling, but if they fall too far behind, they stop taking phone orders. I really wanted to try it based on reviews by Dave Portnoy and others, so I drove over to place my order in person. It took over 30 minutes to get my food. It was a busy Friday night, but wow. Seeing as how I had to pass 6 pizza places to get it ( I came from Brockton), I'm not sure it's worth the wait. If you are in the area and get the timing right, it's good pizza and salad for 20 bucks.“
“We were here on a Sunday afternoon- bar was crowded, but there were plenty of tables with TV views for the football fans out there. We did secure two seats together at the bar after a person was nice enough to move. The crowd wasn't overly friendly, but warmed up to us as our time there wore on. The bartender brought out cheese, pepperoni/salami and crackers to offer to the bar patrons- which was a bonus. Everything is cash only- so hit the ATM prior. The beers were mainly your usual suspects, but they had a few local craft beers- at GREAT prices. The pizzas (or food) are ordered from a window, but they give you a number- and bring it to you when it's done. I got extra chez and my husband got the Hot Hawaiian. We traded one pieces so I could try. My pizza was delicious and his was hot, but the flavors together worked really well. He enjoyed it and I was glad I tried it, but 1 or maybe 2 pieces is all I could handle. AmVets will certainly be in the rotation.“

“I visited from NJ with our son for New Balance Nationals and decided to try this restaurant for dinner. Met the owner Ms.Lidia and had the BEST conversation.The food was fresh and the restaurant was very clean. Our family and son teammates enjoyed their pizza, wings, and even the brownies my husband enjoyed he bought 1 for the road. We will definitely return next time we visit the Boston/ Randolph area.“
“Ordered the spinach and mushroom pizza last nigh on door dash so i dont know about the service or anything but that pizza was amazing! Its a heavy pizza but the ingredients they used were fantastic. Ive never been to a place wher they used WHOLE MUSHROOMS instead of slices. And the cheese pull... you know the scene from the goofy movie when their at the hotel eating pizza and the cheese just stretches? Yeah ive been looking for a cheese pull like that for years and this place was what ive been looking for.“

“Great place for dinner! Came here for the first time with family and everything we tried was amazing! We loved the short rib tater tots and short rib grilled cheese! The menu isn't huge, which is nice. But all the options really sounded good! Can't wait to go back!“
“Quickly become our go to Pizza place over Olympic Pizza in Hyde Park. We drive from the west side of Milton as sadly there are no pizza places on this side of town. My wife gets the standard cheese pizza and I often get the local special Chicken Bacon Ranch which is great.“
“This place is a ssbp (south shore bar pizza) staple. I’ve had a lot of different ssbp and this has been my personal favorite for decades. Flavors are always amazing and the service is great. It is cash only but they have an atm. #1 place for ssbp and highly recommend!“
