This place is special to me. It shaped my coffeeshop frequenting behavior long before I ever had such a thing. This place set a bar high. And it still feels like home. The food. The drinks. The community. Love it here.

Went there yesterday. We had the Nubian bowl and the Caribbean Bowl. Both were absolutrly delicious and plentiful. I love the fact that they employ formerly incarcerated people and give them a chance. Great ethos!

I love their food!Though I think they've changed their menu in the last year or so; the vegetarian plate (choice of I think 3 sides) used to be my go to, but it looks like the menu is now more of a build-your-own-bowl style with a selection of sandwiches/wraps. And the staff is always very friendly! Great vibes

A great place to eat! Pleasantly surprised about the size of the Nubian Sq flatbread! It was huge! Definitely at least two meals alone. The wrap or flatbread was very crunchy. The texture and taste was like biting into a sheet if spice. Only downside was a bit if a struggle to eat due to the size alone. The Sambusa was overflowing with flavor and juices. Totally worth it. The salad I'm told was filling and delicious with the cubes of yellow tofu. Also had a small coffee which was super reasonably price around 2-3 dollars only and it tasted so good! One shot of milk only. Definitely will return given the chance!
