Tucked in the middle of a residential neighborhood, this place has been a local staple for years. Probably the best ravioli I’ve ever had in my life and his other pasta offerings are unique and delicious. All handmade in the shop by Jean Louis himself. Worth every penny. As of Summer 2022, he is now offering phenomenal sorbetto (non dairy) and gelato (has dairy) imported from Italy with a handful of non-dairy flavors. Updated from previous review on 2022-06-11

I’m sad to announce our friend and neighbor Jean Louis passed away after battling cancer recently (this as of Oct 2023) . He was a fixture on Derby St and we will miss him and his delicious pasta, cheeses , bread and the best croissants and sandwiches on the N Shore . Rest in peace ?
