Went with a friend for dinner the only reason that I am giving them a 2 is because of the server!!! He was very aware of food allergies. My friend is allergic to peppers we have to send her food back twice because they put crushed red peppers on her food. The manager did not understand what the issue was we had to explain it to her. She only asked if it was ok after she saw her eating it and never once asked her if she was ok. The food server was excellent he was on top of it and even told us that he was telling his other servers to be aware of this issue.. I have a shrimp allergy I did not order it but he made sure that its was on the ticket. There was a cross contamination issue because I am having a mid reaction right now. The worst ia that we were not compensated for any part of our meal or made us feel welcome to come back from the manager going out of their way we felt very unsatisfied and will never return.

This our favorite Mexican restaurant. Even after moving to CT a couple of years ago, we still come to Frontera's Boston Rd location. We like that we see many of the same faces when we dine there. Last time, I had the Korean short rib tacos and they were fantastic. But the star of the dish for me was the side of black beans. Friendly knowledgeable staff, and great Patron marguerites.
Had to wait at the hostess stand for a bit while the person who seated me chatted with another employee and checked her phone. My server was more on top of things and I tipped well for that. Food came quickly. My veggie quesadilla was frozen cauliflower and broccoli primarily but it was okay. I probably wouldn't come back as a vegetarian but maybe the meat options are better.
