“Hy’s Vancouver is always dependable. Our waiter was a very pleasant, well-spoken, and well-trained fellow named Christophe. He prepared us a round of Caesar salads table side and his wine service was impeccable. My NY strip was perfect and my son enjoyed his dry-aged steak very much (gotta try it at least once). This type of experience is the norm at Hy’s Vancouver, not the exception.“

“Since we are staying here at the Marriott Sanibel Resort and Spa for the weekend, we always love a good steak so we must try the Courtside Steak house. Why they called it that name? Well its right next to the tennis courts so we guessed it correct!!! Even though we had reservations for 7:30 for two, we didn't need it because the place was empty on a Friday night. So we checked in and told them and we decided to sit at the empty bar with the baseball playoff games on the TV. Jonathan, who was the bartender and waited on us, was polite, knowledgeable about the menu and specials, and was a great conversation. A bottle of Sonoma Cutre Chardonnay to share and one ice berg lettuce wedge for my love. Nice and ice cold perfect starter. For the main course, a 6 oz filet mignon for her and I had the 12 oz NY strip. For the sides, the sautéed Brussel Sprouts with pancetta and the cheese topped au gratin potatoes. Both beef entrees were grilled to a perfect medium rare, served on a very hot plate. So best way to get some of the redness out is to cut the beef in half the long ways, and place it on the hot side of the plate and it will be perfect for a few minutes. YUM!!! Both of the sides were a perfect match and wash it down with the chardonnay and we were set for the night. No room for dessert, and a quick call by the staff, to the valet area and the free shuttle was there to take us back to the Sanibel/main hotel building. Overall, good steaks, a bit too heavy on the seasoning, nice dining room, decor and ambiance. Great service from Jonathan. We will be back!!!?️?️?️???“

The nostalgic decor exudes an old-school charm that sets the perfect ambiance for a memorable meal.We chose Rae and Jerry's to celebrate a special birthday, and it exceeded all expectations. The cocktail selection was impressive, with my wife declaring her whiskey sour as the best in the city, while my Caesar cocktail hit just the right notes. My son raved about his Canada Dry Ginger Ale as well... apparently it hit the right notes as well!Although we forgot to order an appetizer, the delightful surprise of a bread basket more than made up for it. The bread was delicious, setting the stage for the culinary delights that followed. Opting for the soup with our main courses was a wise choice, as the beef barley soup was a hit even with our pickiest eater.Speaking of main courses, both the prime rib and rib steak were cooked to absolute perfection. My wife's prime rib left her with nothing but praise, while my rare-cooked rib steak was a rare find indeed. The quality of the food truly lived up to the restaurant's reputation.What's more, the prices were refreshingly reasonable, with no unpleasant surprises when the bill arrived. The value for the outstanding experience and attentive service was unparalleled. Our waiter went above and beyond to ensure our evening was nothing short of exceptional.In conclusion, Rae and Jerry's Steakhouse deserves every bit of the acclaim it receives. “We just had a reservation for my Daughters Birthday Celebration, all her guests were very happy with the food and service. We had the room that can accommodate 14 people and had the private dining room for at least 3 hours. Would definitely recommend it!“
