This place is great. Hands down, the chicken and waffles (with two eggs on the side) was the best meal I've had at a restaurant in a long time. I'm not great with names, so I can't remember our server's name, but she was great. She offered drink suggestions since they were out of what we wanted, and they were really good. My wife and I went to The Tallest Poppy for the first time today. Everything was sooo delicious. My wife had the fried chicken sandwich and I had a Reuben, latke and matzo ball soup. Hands down the best reuben sandwich I have ever had. The service was great and the prices are definitely fair for what you get. We will definitely be back to try out the other items on the menu.
My absolute favourite local restaurant in Winnipeg by far. The place looks as local and as homely as it can get. But not once have I ever been dissatisfied by what I have received. The servers are very welcoming and though understaffed on busy nights, the servers always arrive to the table a mere few minutes after you sit down.
