“First time my brother and I were here for St. Patrick's Day. The place was really busy, but the servers, bar tenders, and the rest of the staff were awesome. Someone was always available to take an order, clear plates, or come by to check if we needed anything. I ordered their calamari appetizer, meatloaf with mashed potatoes and bread, and my brother ordered their bangers sandwich. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. We stayed for a while, and for the start of a live band, they had in for St. Patrick's Day. I definitely recommend checking this pub out if you are in the area.“
“A new spot that we’ve been trying to go here since it opened. Very “Octo” themed and has the decor to go with it. It has a nice bar downstairs with tables in the back. Walk upstairs and you’ll find a quaint room with more tables and a very nice separate bar for private parties or as an additional bar. Everything we tasted was great and the presentation was a delight to the eyes. You have to try the octopus ceviche and the ostrich tartar. The drinks were very tasty as well and everything was adequately priced. We’re going to add this spot to our dinner outing rotation and bring our supper club members. We ordered Mushakal (veg. stew) and baba ghanouj to split and were pleasantly surprised to have been offered each our own starter soup and salad, hot tea, and a hefty serving of hummus to match the ghanouj. “I've been to the Federal Hill location several times -- I'm a soccer fan -- but went to the Mt. Washington location today for the first time. (We've gotten takeout a couple of times, but first time eating there in person.) Food was good, the build your own burger is the same process. Best burger I've had in the last two years, and the one before that was also from here. Nice to have the windows open. We didn't have a lot of time, I was there with my family for a quick bite before taking my daughter to her swim lesson, and the staff were very considerate. Not only were they kind enough to put my daughter's order in right away while we got ours figured out, but it was a bit after the lunch rush and not too crowded, and they actually changed some of the TVs to a Harry Potter movie for her. I would never have asked or expected it, but it was very thoughtful.“

The crab tots are a great appetizer and almost too good, as we ended up finishing that appetizer and struggling to finish our main courses. Even down to the cookie which another customer suggested them to me and they were good also. We ordered the Apple butter wings that came with garlic parmesan fries and fried Brussels which my wife said everything was so good and tasted great even the wings were big and not some of the typical small wings you get from other places. I also ordered the make your meal deal with 4 wings, collard greens and Mac and cheese all were good and very well seasoned. Customer service was great and everyone was very friendly. I ate the evidence.)Parking: There are many options for parking in this neighborhood. This particular side of the block on St Paul and (I think) fronting the restaurant entrance on 31st is metered. But the opposite side diagonally across from the entrace, the block behind it, and most of the surrounding blocks are residential permit zones where you can park for free for up to 2 hours if you are lucky enough to find a space. Just keep your eyes open for signs to clue you in on if you're scoping out a metered or permitted parking spot. If you're totally out of luck on finding a street spot, I think there is garage parking a couple of blocks up the street, but haven't used it myself before. Google will surely show any garages in the area.Parking in the evening at this location is easy. I was able to park right in front of their entrance and was in and out in less than a minute. I didn't pay a meter.During the day it may be a bit more challenging to find a space that close, but there is parking all around.I'm not sure how late they run, but whatever you do, it's worth it to pay the parking meters - at least during the day - to avoid getting an annoying parking ticket. This block is essentially part of the Johns Hopkins campus, so the "meter guard" is every active. The machines take coins, cards or pre-purchased passes.“

“This was a great atmosphere. We were visiting out of town and came across an event taking place at this bar. A cocktail bar crawl in the Power Plant Live area and this was one of the featured bars. We arrived about 1230pm and it was pretty empty, but the DJ was playing music and I was ready to party. Even if it was just my husbae and I, I was enjoying the vibe. As time went on the people started to show. Before we left, maybe 30 people were present. Our waitress and bartender mentioned the scene does not pick up until night fall. Nevertheless, we decided to order food here. I had the nashville chicken sandwich and my babe had tacos. We had an appetizer too - I cannot recall the name, check out the pics, but I do remember it was tasty. My chicken sandwich was yummy too! The cocktails - bomb too! I tried the featured cocktail, Irish Creme something - nah - def not my speed, but I did notice another chugging them down. Overall, this place is awesome. I left off one star, because I don't know how the night vibe is and just going off the bartender it gets pretty lively. But for our day party experience, we would definitely return and check out the surrounding bars next time. Not sure how the parking works. We took a Uber to and fro and didn't have any issues.
