This place was absolutely ridiculous. The food was awful , super overpriced. Not to mention the MANDATORY 18% service fee , for a service that was awful. We saw our server a total of maybe 3 times. I would honestly go somewhere else other than this place..

Pretty much a classic diner with an endless menu, decent prices, and excellent food. It's one of my go to places. The food is generally excellent, and the portions generous enough that I usually make two meals out of one. The desserts sometimes look better than they taste, and sometimes taste as good as they look - again, pretty standard with diners. Cakes and eclairs excellent, cheesecake very good, great milk shakes.

Dinner Sat March 23 about 6pm... Food was good, and most staff we interacted with were pleasant. But our waitress, Dorothy was crabby and so rude, that if we weren't pressed for time, we would have gone somewhere else. She came by, gave us water and menus, and asked us if we were ready to order. I said not quite, it was a big menu to look at. I decided within 3-5 minutes, but it took me another 10+ to get her attention. She passed our table several times, brought food to 2 tables across from us, but never looked our way. I said excuse me but thought she just didn't hear me b/c noisy. I raised my hand a couple of times to no avail. When she finally looked in our general direction, I waved both my hands over my head. She came over and said, "Don't wave at me, I'm busy; I'll get to you when I do" - I was so furious, it took me another 20 minutes to calm down. I didn't want to say anything to the manager then b/c I was afraid Dorothy might make things worse, or do something to the food. And we didn't have time after dinner. So I hope the manager is reading this post. If it were up to me, I'd fire her.

Food was ok. I do not like the automatic 15% automatic add tip for servers for bills over 30 bucks. Our server was great. Lots of choices. More care about charred food.Update + Server was great. Food was good. Bread was charred. Lots of choices. Again with the 15% automatic tip. I added more but really? Kinda mess my evening again. Ok onion rings tasted like the fried them with hot dogs. Skip them. The fish and chop entrees were good. The Manager Nikki is a disrespectful and does not demonstrate conflict resolution. My lunch was going well with server Sandy until the oily boom boom and not so tasty sampler came out. Sandy was very attentive and wanted to resolve my complaint right away. When she went to get the manager to assist, Nikki was Very Agressive asking what was wrong with the sampler? Why did I want to return it? And my only option was to have the food remade! I was caught off guard and shocked to be approached by a manager in such manner. I requested to speak to a second manager, who I could barely understand but he provided better customer service and resolved the bill. This review is a reminder that customers are important! And being nice can go along way. Thank you Again to server SANDY for being so kind during this process. Please send Nikki to TRAINING or keep her in the BACK OF HOUSE. She should not be allowed to approach customers.I've never has to send in a complaint about Double T dinner. For now on I'll stick to the Annapolis location.Thank you,

Breakfast was poor quality. Eggs over medium ends up as congealed yolks. Home fries are crispy on one side and taste of boiled potatoes, not home fries. Virginia ham was not anything from Surry county, VA. It was a piece of grilled Hormel ham. If you want a good breakfast, go elsewhere. The Double T Diner is not what it used to be.
I went out to breakfast with my dad and son. Our food came out hot, fresh and correct. The potatoes just needed some salt and pepper. But, overall good food and came out fast.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly

I hate their food, except for their chicken rice soup, which they rarely have available. I've also been ok with wheat toast. I don't understand why the chicken rice soup is hard to get. I was told Tuesdays. Then I was told Thursdays. Just buy more of it and have it available PERIOD! I just wanted to take a minute to leave a review of this establishment. This was my first-time ordering from here. I worked all day on this Easter Sunday and didn't have time to cook this year. I decided to door dash the shrimp salad platter bc I was starving and exhausted after my day. I was so very pleasantly surprised when I received my platter. There was a generous amount of delicious shrimp salad, coleslaw as well as potato salad. It came on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, and cucumbers. Everything was very fresh and delicious! I'm super impressed with double t and it was a nice treat at the end of a long tough day. I highly recommend this shrimp salad platter and will definitely be ordering from here again! Delicious quality food at a great price. Great job Double T!
