The food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly. We’ve eaten here sporadically for years, and the updated facilities and menu are very attractive.

About a dozen of us had a post funeral lunch. We were looked after by Michael and he was wonderful. Every dish was delicious: crabcake sandwiches, Rockfish sandwiches; both crab soups; sliced ribeye...all were reasons to come back for dinner! And don't forget dessert!

Amazing crab bisque - by far my favorite place to go out to eat is the Bayard House Restaurant. I always take my parents here.GREAT salads - they have the best wedge salad ever. The servers are always so helpful and friendly. This whole area is a delight to walk around as well. I highly recommend eating here. You won't be disappointed :)

The service was fantastic and the restaurant was beautiful. The food did not match with that. We had a good experience when it came to customer service, but I was really disappointed when my steak came out overcooked and my asparagus extra salty. The starters were just okay and the sauces that came with them did not blow my mind. For the cost of our dinner, I feel like I should have been blown away and I was just not. This is not an establishment we will go to again, not because it's horrible but rather because it was just mediocre.

The cup of Crab bisque ($13) had a significant amount of crabmeat. Rockfish sandwich ($23) was well prepared! Our server was a young lady who was very pleasant and attentive. The only problem was the noise from the kitchen and the staff. They failed to realize their loud conversation. ruined a pleasant lunch.

A beautiful historic place. If it weren’t for the almost two hours of horrible music which totally ruined the atmosphere. No music would have been more appropriate. For lunch we had the crab bisque which was delicious but too thick for my taste. My sister had the Rock Fish sandwich which was delicious. I had the BLT, not at all what was described. Jersey tomato it was not, it was mealy and just gross as was the shredded lettuce I sent it back to the kitchen. The Chesapeake Bloody was amazing with crab and a huge shrimp on the glass . Our server, Tyler was wonderful. Please get rid of the music, it was awful!
