While the service has declined over the past 6 years, dinner here is a must whenever I'm in the DMV. It's quaint and has an elegant yet comfortable home feel. I had the stuffed salmon which was a little overcooked, but still tasty and reasonably priced. Mama Stella's is one of my Prince George's County favorites.
I have seen this place a million times and had never been but I was starving and didn't want to search all over. It was also near the auto shop I was leaving.I was pleasantly surprised to see an actual white table cloth restaurant in the area with full place setting. Yes it made my day. #SupportLocalBusiness I still consider this restaurant a hidden gem. Our server tonight (Esmeralda) was super gracious, the lamb chops are ALWAYS a winner, and they've added La Marca Prosecco to their menu ... what's there to complain about? Oh yeah, the 1980-ish carpet, artificial flowers, faux stone, etc. are such a buzz kill! I need them to renovate! Guess what? I will STILL return for their lamp chops ... gaudy decor and all.
