“This has been a go to spot in college park for years now. Their pad se ew is delicious and fresh. Their pho is also great, however overpriced. Never really had to wait long for a table, and pho comes out quick. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.“
“I have not only travelled to Thailand, but studied Thai cuisine and also attended cooking classes. This place is the REAL DEAL!!!! Not your run of the mill pad thai place. More northern cuisine if you are familiar with it, think Chang Mai. Everything is out of this world, great bar and drinks, friendly and warm staff that attends to your every need.“
“Truly some of the best Thai food I’ve ever ate in the US. The wild salmon and garlic lover dishes were so flavorful and the wait staff was incredibly knowledgeable with the menu and catered to allergies. We will be coming back many more times.“
“Only ordered pick up so I haven’t eaten in. It was DELICIOUS! Probably the best Thai I have had in a very long time if ever. We ordered Tom Kha, Laab duck, spicy basil fried rice and green curry with chicken and beef. Everything was delicious. I would order the same exact thing again! My new favorite neighborhood restaurant!!! Sorry no pics as we went for it.“
“I absolutely love this place! The staffs are all really nice and helpful, and the food is always sooo delicious! Everything taste authentic and fresh. You can tell that the chef loves the food she cooks. I highly recommend the pork strips with sticky rice. Will definitely eat here again. ?“
“Sura, what a vibe! This spot has aesthetics on lock, and the menu is a work of art. The real showstopper? The “Special Chili Noodles”—a total game-changer, a must-try. We also got in on the secret menu with the Softshell Crab—so much garlic and green onion goodness, it was fire. The calamari was legit, perfect portion, and not greasy at all, major win. Now, the quail egg wontons, not my jam. Cool concept, but the execution didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Overall, Sura sets the stage for a killer date night or a spot to mix it up with a variety of flavors. It was a vibe!“
“Akeno is my new favorite sushi spot! Not only is the food amazing, but the people that own and run it are the kindest, most appreciative people I have ever met! We get great service, the ambiance is perfect and we have fun with the staff. If the truffle salmon is on the specials menu, do yourself a favor and ORDER IT! You can thank me later.“
“UPDATE: We've had a few let downs with the take out and don't order nearly as frequently anymore. Nothing terrible, but just not as good as it used to be.Original: A staple of my take-out habit. Consistently delicious. Great place for a date.“
“The chicken Khao Soi was delicious and easily the star of their menu. Staff were super understanding of my family being in a rush and made sure to get us everything we needed in a very timely manner. The restaurant itself is cute and a very cozy spot for lunch in dupont.“
“Came to BKK for dinner with a friend and had a great time! We walked in around 6:30 on a Wednesday and we're seated right away. There are a handful of tables inside plus some bar style seating against the wall and some outdoor patio seating. You order and pay through a QR code and staff are also quite friendly and attentive and check throughout to see if you need anything.I had the sweet sausage rice which was flavorful and a good sized portion. It was a little heavy on the oil for me but tasty nonetheless. To drink I had a Thai tea which was fabulous. The interior is cozy and cute. Very quiet and no music playing so it's a nice place for a conversation. Would totally come back. Tasty food friendly and quick service and quaint cozy atmosphere!“
“Just tried this new Thai restaurant and omg it was DELISH! We broke from our usual pattern of Thai dishes (pad thai and pad see ew) and tried the 100 Islands Seafood and full Branzino. Absolutely yummy and savory. We also had the meatballs and corn fritters as apps and the fried ice cream. We are stuffed and everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Definitely recommend this place! They have a big menu that offers the usual fare plus dishes familiar to the Thai town of Donsak (where the owner is from). Also such a cute little spot with great drinks! Five stars for sure!“
“I had the fried chicken fried rice and my friend had the drunken noodles. Both were generous portions and a good value. The food came out quickly and services were excellent the entire time, that glass of water was never left empty for long! I highly recommend this place!“
“What a place. Humble and kind owner greets you and walks you to your table. One of 8 in this small, unassuming and fantastic establishment. Traditional Thai menu, we had 4 apps and 3 main dishes. Everything was outstanding. Washed down with $5 Sapporo. Wow. Highly recommend you give it a try.“
“I love Beau Thai — it’s my Mt. Pleasant neighborhood go-to for takeout. The food is really good (especially the pumpkin red curry when it’s in season) and the people who work there are so nice! I accidentally ordered pickup from the wrong location today and they kindly remade the order for me here.“
“Kin Da's dishes are consistently delicious. Favorites: green curry, panang curry and drunken noodles. Just enough spice to snap to attention. Lunch specials are a great bargain. Service is fast and friendly, atmosphere is simple and clean. Lucky to have this in Takoma Park.“
“Isshin has one of the BEST service in Adams Morgan. May is the woman who always helps me. I think she’s the manager. She keeps that place running swiftly and smoothly. During the pandemic, Isshin made every effort to keep their place sanitized and customers safe by using PPE and placing hand sanitizers all around. The staff works super fast to get meals ready for you. They always go above and beyond to offer excellent service. I had to order spicy shrimp rice and I was going to arrive close to closing time, May kept Isshin open until I arrived (5 mins late) to pick up my food. I only live 3 blocks away but once I was not able to pick up my food from Isshin. May immediately said, “if you live close, I’ll deliver for you.” And she did just that and as usual with a very pleasant demeanor and genuine smile. May and her team at Isshin make this restaurant one of the best in Adams Morgan. Thank you May and Isshin!!!“
“It was a unique experience to try Northern Thai food. You can taste the difference from Thai food served in Bangkok, or in Thailand’s s southern regions. I got the larb, and it was really spicy and refreshing. Same with the Tom Ka Gai, which had a good amount of acidity. Servers were pretty nice, and food came out quickly. Would definitely recommend.“
“We love this spot for Sunday lunch after church. Tasty food, good portions, and great service.Parking: Depending on time of day & day of the week, but usually street parking on the surrounding streetsKid-friendliness: Easy for kids but maybe older than four or five years old.“
“So tasty, what a gem!! I ordered the CURRY LAKSA NOODLE Soup, pictured. It can be all plant based - I asked for mushrooms, spinach and broccoli to be added/substituted for the chicken, and with no hesitation they accommodated me! I'm so pleased with this Union Station fast casual option, located on the second level. If you take the stairs opposite the Amtrak ticket counter, you'll find it with big open air seating. This dish also includes tofu, vegetables, rice sticks & egg noodle combination in a coconut curry broth, with bean sprouts, fresh! green beans, and corn. Amazing, and spicy warm. They have non spicy foods, too. I'll upload the current menu.“
“I ordered door dash from here because I was craving Thai food but I wanted to try a new spot ! They did not disappoint. I got the drunken noodles and it was sooooo good and flavorful. And for dessert I tried the taro roti. I fell in loveeee so crispy and the center taste amazing and not too sweet !! Definitely can’t wait to order again !!“
“I recently dined at Rice, a Thai restaurant in DC, and it was a delightful experience. The papaya salad with shrimp was perfectly spicy, and the chicken cashew dish, though excellent, could be even better with the addition of pineapple. While the service was nothing out of the ordinary, the food made up for it. I’d definitely recommend Rice and look forward to revisiting on my next trip to DC.“
“I had a light dinner...green salad and curry puffs. The curry puffs melt in your mouth and the salad is almost too beautiful to eat! Excellent service...and speedy since I was on a dinner break from work. I'll definitely dine in again.“
“I first started dining at Sala Thai restaurant back in 2018 at the Minnesota Ave location, where I instantly fell in love with their chef fried rice and crispy calamari, among other menu items. When I moved to NE, I made the Rhode Island Row location my new go-to spot and have been a regular visitor ever since, indulging in their delicious Thai iced tea and sushi rolls almost daily. My absolute favorite dish is the Mei Fun (without pork or seafood), and I also enjoy their tofu with spicy basil fried rice, curry puffs, spring rolls, and an assortment of specialty rolls. Lately, I've noticed a significant improvement in their interior, menu offerings, and the quality of service, making my dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend paying them a visit for a delightful culinary experience.“
“Regent is the best Thai food in DC. It’s our neighborhood spot but if it wasn’t we’d travel for it. When friends come from out of town it’s where we take them.I keep coming back so I’ll keep updating this review but for 2 years it’s been a go to and it’s been absolutely delicious every time. Regent Thai Cuisine, I love!“
“Omg this lil jewel. The Thai was theee best I have had in years. Fresh, clean, and traditional. Tom yum, spring rolls drunken shrimp spring rolls, Tom Sum, Pad Thai all delicious. Would Highly recommend. Location is dated but food off the charts. No pics because I ate it all!“
“New to the area, and was eager to find a local Thai spot. Had the pad se ew and crab fried rice delivered, and boy was it delicious. Not too fishy on the crab, which I certainly appreciated. Will easily be ordering from this place again. Thank you!“
“I love this place! It's intimate, not huge and impersonal: so the staff really look out for their customers, who are very friendly. The Pad Thai is the best in town. I especially love their curries! Most of all, the dishes are authentic. I know: I've been to most of the Thai restaurants in the area. I even introduced my girlfriend to Thai food in this restaurant, and she loved it! The ambiance is delightful, very relaxing. The Convention Center is just a block away, so definitely check this place out if you've had a busy day there! I'm a Lyft driver and I tell all my tourist passengers to try this place out. Once I picked up the same passenger and they told me themselves that it was one of the best Thai restaurants they've been to.“
“I ordered takeout on a Friday night the customer service was great. The interior had a lot of the dining room area blocked off with tables similar to something you would see during covid restrictions so there's limited seating. But the place was fairly busy. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and promptly given my food that I ordered. The problem that I had was that the Thai chicken fried rice should really be called Thai onion and chicken fried rice. I had the biggest slices of onion in my Thai chicken fried rice! I have never had that much onion! Thick long pieces of onion throughout my dish. Some of my carrots were crunchy. I picked out most of the onions and ate the dish. That was the only con. One of the pros is that I got three spring rolls! I was really happy with that as I've never received three spring rolls and really appreciate that because I love them. If I try this place again I think I might try one of the curry dishes and of course order the spring rolls again. Over all 4 stars.“
“A good neighborhood Thai restaurant for both takeout and in-store dining, with several classic options across the menu.--After a long week, my significant other and I came here for a nice, simple dinner for two. We have ordered DoorDash from here a few times prior, and always had solid experiences, but never dined in before. Most of the business they receive does appear to be takeout and delivery, and there were a lot of people coming in and out. There were still a few parties seated in the small eating area, both families and couples, and the tables and interior was certainly more than nice enough. Our service was friendly and prompt, and easy to get ahold of even though she was also running takeout orders. While the menu was expansive, we kept it simple and ordered off the Thai menu. We had Chicken Spring Rolls for the table, and I ordered for myself Chicken Pad Thai and Spring Rolls (my significant other ordered Curry). The food came out fast. The Spring Rolls were first - they were very simple, yet good. The Pad Thai was a sizable portion, and was everything I needed and dreamed of after a long week. I would have ideally liked it to be a bit spicier and pack a bit more of a punch flavor wise, but I also knew what to expect ordering one of the more 'common' dishes on the menu.Overall a very good experience, and a restaurant I am happy to continue to support both in person and for takeout. In the future, I would be very curious to try their Mongolian Menu, or the additional entrees off the Thai menu.Parking: Parking is free after hours, otherwise usually able to find parking in the area and not horrible expensive for an hour or two.“
“I'm loyal to this place. The only place in SE DC that makes delicious real Thai food. They cater to my food intolerance and allergies.Dietary restrictions: Simply let them know about any food allergies and intolerance so they may accommodate you or make recommendations.“
“The food was very delicious and the staff were very kind. The curry puffs are amazing! My only minor issue was the lack of vegetables in the dishes that we ordered, such as the Pad Thai with tofu (despite my asking for veggies to be included).“
“In town for a conference, got there when they opened at noon and was immediately seated in a sunny window spot. Ordered the drunken noodles, it came out in five minutes and it was perfect! Will definitely be back the next time I'm in DC!“
“Got veggie rolls with peanut sauce to start. My first time trying, it was real good w the sauce. Got shrimp pad thai, and he got the glazed salmon & rice. Very cozy atmosphere on the first snow of the winter! The service was great, all the waitresses are mad friendly.Don’t want to forget this experience ❤️?“
“Well, I ordered green curry, tom yum vegetable soup, and garden spring rolls. I put a special note asking for the green curry to made *extra* spicy and that I loved spicy and oh boy did they deliver. Weild caution making such requests haha but I've loved it. I got it with tofu, and for the record, love too how they made the tofu, it's super tasty,As for the veggie rolls, I found the rice paper wrapper thicker than what I'm used to, a bit gummy, and the peanut sauce--while having more texture than most others--def erring on the, "too sweet," end for me,The soup tasted like it was made with some sort of oyster or fish sauce, not saying that happened (and I'm not vegetarian despite how I'm presenting) and I didn't particularly like that myself, but seriously still good. That was less spicy than I was expecting. Regardless, all in all...Really good!!! I'd recommend this joint.Vegetarian options: I'm not vegetarian but like a lot of vegetarian food. Easy to order from this place for that.“
“The delivery fee is a bit steep but the prices, quality, and freshness make up for it in spades! This is my new favorite sushi spot! The portion of fish is very generous, the rolls are fresh, the crab Rangoon is crispy (even delivered) and creamy, the shrimp spring rolls were well seasoned and had large shrimp inside, love it!“
“Love this place been coming here for many many years! They did a nice job remodeling very clean and pleasant on the eyes But who cares about that when You want to hear the food review we both tried the panay curry and the chicken yellow curry. Both dishes came out hot and fresh and great proportions,A lot more than most Thai restaurants. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful and always kept their drinks full to the rim. I highly recommend this place as it's already rated the number one Thai restaurant in Montgomery County!“
“My wife, our baby boy, and I went there for my 40th birthday dinner last night. Beautiful, clean restaurant. The service was FANTASTIC. The dishes and drinks were DELICOUS! We had the seafood salad, which was fresh and had generous portions of squid, shrimp, and scallops. Also, we had the chili basil fried rice with seafood, which had bright, fresh ingredients. We also had the tum yum soup, duck red curry, thai iced tea, and fresh lemonade. The red curry was delicous, even if a little watery and the duck portions were small. We ordered our entrees thai spicy, and they did not disappoint! Both were quite spicy indeed!“
“Delicious food (tender squid for example), ok speed (when in a hurry for theatre!), but service with a grumpy face in a super noisy environment. They have a huge patio (noise level outside is better; able to chat). Soft shell crab is great (sauce comes on the side so the crispy crab doesn't become soggy).Ginger lover seafood is also wonderful. The whole place was full at its seams on a Thursday night. Lots of guests in suits, probably the people working in nearby government offices. Tables and chairs aren't the best (may need attention) but the whole ambiance is casual so I guess in the end, thanks to relatively fast service, all is well that ends well.“
“I’m not Thai, but I am Filipino, so I already had an idea on what the food would be like, and it met my expectations. It was very windy and cold the day I tried Lamoon Thai, so I wanted a warm and simple soup dish. I went with Tom Yum noodle soup, and it was indeed warm, cozy, and simple. I also went with Moo Yang, which tastes exactly the same as delicious Filipino BBQ skewers. When I wanted dessert, the friendly lady serving me let me try a new dish that wasn’t on the menu yet, and it was this homemade coconut ice cream with bits of sweet jackfruit on top of a fluffy and slightly crunchy waffle. It was so delicious, perfect texture, and wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet. Overall, the food and service is great, although my friend and I were the only ones dining there, so I don’t know what the service is like when it’s full. I’d totally go here again.“
“02/04/2024- This is a great restaurant for dining in or take out! I ordered the “green curry “ dinner! Yum! It was hit and spicy ?️! The restaurant was clean. The staff of (3) were kind and professional. The music in the atmosphere was soothing. The Art on the walls and decor was nice. There were no other patrons on the restaurant besides the two of us. My friend ordered a spicy ?️ shrimp dinner! Yum! I gather that most patrons use grub hub! They close for one hour between 2pm and 3pm. Conveniently located, free parking is just around the corner or on the street. This food establishment sits across from “BusBoys and Poets and near “ Elevation Burger” in the city of Hyattsville/College Park. By the way there are some cute art and clothing shops in the same corridor along with additional vegan spots and a PHO spot! Love it!“
“Very solid Chinese takeout. The customer service was great and delivery was quick. I thought the food was good and the price reasonable for a causal, quick, Chinese meal when you don’t feel like leaving the house. It’s my go to for that scenario.“
“Love love love this place. The food always delivers. Quality Thai food, no matter what you order but I tend to stick to the Panang curry with Tofu. Sides are always great and I like to end with a mango sticky rice. The staff are always so nice too. Highly recommend.“
“I ordered the Thai red curry (spice level and flavor was perfect). The restaurant was cozy and clean. They had a prayer area set up at the front. Our waitress was attentive and nice. I’ll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend Amina Thai to everyone.“
“This is a neighborhood restthat also serves phenomenal Thai cuisine. No polish, no flash but a staff that treats you like a neighbor and a chef that put the Ka-Pow in the chicken Ka- Pow. I had an air bnb close by and ate here 3 times in 2 weeks. Each time something different and all fantastic. Make sure you get there before 7 for some happy hour deals.“
“My first time to DC alone. Me and a friend who lives in DC and works Downtown DC suggested we come here for dinner, I did have a taste for Thai food. The experience and the food was GREAT!!!! When I come back to DC I will make sure I visit again!!!! Sharon“
“The atmosphere is welcoming. The team all know what they are doing. Drinks behind the bar came in adequate timing, and the food is tasteful as well as served quickly. I personally had Niq take care of me, and she is extremely efficient and on top of her game. I recommend going on the nights the Dj is present, he makes the evening all the more fun“
“We’ve tried multiple Thai at ___ restaurants around the DMV, and this one is our new favorite! The spice level and flavor is spot on. The service is quick and the staff is warm and welcoming. We had the spring rolls, street noodles and the pad ka pow with chicken, at a 3 and 4 spice level. Everything was delicious and the serving size left more for us to take home to enjoy again the next day.“
“This place is great. The sushi AND the grill is amazing Dave (owner) comes by to personally greet the tables and make sure everyone’s having a great experience. The food is phenomenal. Very quick service. Full bar. Excellent pricing. Loved it so much I came back several days in a row.“
“This is probably the best Thai place in Maryland. Everytime I'm near laurel even if I am not hungry I purchase a meal! It is always clean. It is always good. I haven't tried anything here that isn't good. Try the masamaam curry and the crispy fish. OMG!“
“So delicious but please MORE SAUCE!!! The dishes are savory and wonderful, and sauce could compensate for somewhat consistently dry rice. Please :)Favorite orders for meat eaters include chicken satay and chicken cashew, for veg all the curries and the eggplant.“
