I had not dined at House of India for a long time and decided to have dinner here while I was in the neighborhood last night, a Saturday. Dinner was wonderful -- vegetable samosas (spicy but not too much!), chicken tikka, roti. Wine by the glass did not seem over-priced compared to trend I've been seeing at other places, and it was a generous quantity that lasted through the meal. I recently enjoyed a family dinner at the House of India, the best Indian and Nepali restaurant in the Columbia area. It surpassed my expectations.The owner is incredibly cool, and the staff are truly awesome. The authentic flavors and warm hospitality make it a standout dining experience. Highly recommended!

Great lunch special that includes something like 8 items in your lunch, available on weekends too (but they are closed Mondays). No more buffet at House of India. I hate going to an Indian restaurant and having to order just one item and then pay extra for naan. The lunch special had meat (there is a vegetarian option too), two veggies, rice, naan, samosa, papadum and dessert. Quite a lot of food.
