“Great ambiance, rolling hills in the distance, west-facing so expect a stunning sunset, beautiful landscaping, and lots of options for seating from indoors to covered outdoor options to picnic tables with umbrellas and Adirondack chairs, to seating around fire pits. Not the comfiest seating in the lawn area given that it’s wooden without cushions, but withstands the elements and all. Expect most if not all the outdoor seating to be reserved on busy days, but there is a nice banked hill overlooking the views, so you can bring a blanket and camp out there. Almost more enjoyable to be one with nature that way in my opinion? The indoor area is normally less crowded on nice days and has big glass windows also overlooking the views.I’m not a wine connoisseur but have done quite a few white wine tastings and definitely enjoyed the white wine I drank here - I think we honestly just purchased a bottle of the least expensive white, a Pinot Gris, and we were very happy with its flavors! Service was excellent— we talked with the bartender and even the owner for a bit.Snacks including a few varieties of charcuterie boxes are available for purchase inside, and there are typically also food trucks. All in all would definitely recommend you check this place out if you’re in the area or trying to plan a peaceful afternoon out of the city!”

“Okay. Dating myself. L'Auberge Chez Francois has been open for 70 yours. We've been going for 35. Never had a bad meal here. Or a mediocre one. This is an old school restaurant in all the best ways. You might think it's expensive. And it is. But it's the best value restaurant I've ever been to. The entree price gets you bread, appetizer, amuse bouche, entree and dessert. I had the Tuna Tartare, House Salad and Beef Wellington. My wife got the warm Asparagus, House Salad, and Rack of Lamb. All expertly prepared. The ambiance is amazing. French Cottage in the countryside of Great Falls. The service is impeccable. You don't get much better. And get the soufflé for dessert. You have to order it when you order your meal. Well worth it. I will keep coming here until I die. It's that good.”

“My wedding cake came out beautifully!! Everything i ever expected and more! I had 3 different layers with 3 different flavors, i had the chocolate cake with raspberry filling, the Jamaican rum with coconut filling and lastly the mango cake, the flavors were out this world, it was soo good and moist except for a little hiccup with the Jamaican rum but i called the bakery and they solved the problem the proper way. This is by far my favorite bakery and i will continue to come for every event i have.”

The manager (M'hammad)/counter/table (Edwin?) staff were extremely nice, friendly, patient and just really kind! Pricing was quite reasonable & the same regardless of lunch/dinner - a real bonus. Easy parking, casual and just the right size inside. We had an amazing set of beautifully presented dishes before us incl: Adas soup (thinner than I'm used to, but SUPER delicious!), the falafel was so fantastic that I took a few dozen home to share w/family (will definitely try the spicier ones on next visit!), chicken shawarma & kifteh were nicely flavored & tender, and all the side dishes, hummus, baba ghannouj, salads, pickled items, pita bread hit the mark.
