“Excellent dinner this evening with Barry! The food was delicious and he made the experience that much better. This review is coming from a previous waiter and someone who comes from a customer service background, he is one of a kind!Kid-friendliness: The kid menu was great! Lots of options and each comes with a drink, side and a dessert!“
“What a great meal with fantastic service at The Tasting Room in Frederick Maryland. We were gifted a very generous gift card to this restaurant. We had eaten here in the past, but had the opportunity to head back here. We used OpenTable and booked our reservation several weeks in advance. Mostly because of our schedule, but we’re excited to go back. Our server was Jessica and she was probably one of the best servers we have had in the past two years. Extremely knowledgeable about the wines, and very strong on the menu selections. Professional and attentive. If I could give her six stars, I would. For dinner we started with a Black Martini and a Lily Pad. Jessica explained the drink to us so we went with it and was not disappointed. With dinner we had a bottle of Inglenook Zinfandel. Delicious. For food we started with the Panko Shrimp and the charcuterie board. The cheese selection was very good and the elk sausage was tasty. For main courses we all had the filet. Great presentation with oval trivets and cast iron plates with each filet. Tender and cooked to perfection with a side of béarnaise sauce which was some of the best I have ever had. So so good! You also received as a side dish potatoes au gratin. Very good! We also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts for the table. For desserts Jessica recommended the “warm chocolate toffee Bundt cake”. It was so delicious. Could have eaten two! We also had the “lemon meringue parfait”. Light and tasty. We rounded out the meal with Peruvian Dark Roast Coffee. Outstanding. The restaurant is cozy and well decorated. Take the opportunity and look up at the beautiful ceilings that permeate throughout the restaurant. In addition, if you are seated next to a window look across the street at the “Angel” painting. So interesting.Overall, the meal and service were just outstanding. Yeah it is on the expensive side (but we had drinks, apps and dessert) but I will go back. It really was perfection and worth every penny.Parking: Parking is available across the street in a paid large parking garage. Several garages around.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is on first floor so no steps but aisles are tight between tables.“
“It was the review for me that caught my attention, that’s why it’s very important to rate restaurants on the customer service and the quality of food. Me and my daughter visited yesterday and the wings and fries were delicious, we also tried the Atlantis dog, which is the chili and cheese hotdog. I love the fact the our food was still hot especially our fries were boxed in a brown box container which I love because the fries were still hot and not soggy even when we got home our fries were still not soggy and I love that. You got to try the Old bay wings and Parmesan garlic wings. Thank You Kevin for your Hospitality as well asking us how we want our chicken to be cooked regular or crispy! Check them out Frederick location down Market Street“
“My sister and I are on a road trip from Florida to Cape May NJ…. We love eating at local places that come highly recommended. The Silver Diner did not disappoint! The Farm to Table menu is amazing with something for everyone! Our server, Michael S was knowledgeable and friendly and the night supervisor, Caitlynn, was great! Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The lemon hummus salad… to die for!!“
“We celebrated my son’s 17th birthday here and it did not disappoint! The staff were friendly and attentive - multiple people stopped by to fill our water throughout the evening. The decor was really nice with a variety of textures (wood, brick, fabrics, metal). The food was amazeballs. My son and I had the filet and my husband had the duck. And, because it was a celebration, we got 3 different desserts . The chocolate cake was so good, I dropped my fork. We will definitely be back!“
“Yesterday my family was celebrating the 19th anniversary of the adoption of our three sons who are now in their mid-to-late 20's. Viktorija was our server, and she was phenomenal. She was very attentive, lots of fun and engaging, and made our afternoon really enjoyable for all of us. One of the best servers we've had - anywhere. None of us live in the area - it was half way for each of us, coming from PA and/or VA, so sadly we won't get to visit Viktorija more often. But we wanted to recognize her because she should be applauded for her excellent service.“
“When I say beautiful ? I mean beautiful ❤️ For this place to be packed on Easter but still have amazing service, food and staff! Ummm I was speechless ? Kate was our server she has a heart of gold. The chocolate covered strawberries are stealing Godiva 's spotlight and the atmosphere is so romantic ❤️?? It was my first time here and I'll definitely be back!!! They were so accommodating to my lil toddler and family and wheelchair access is available! Yummy spinach dip, my toddlers chicken bites were yummy! Everything was Soooo Fresh! 10/10 would recommend!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Kid-friendliness: Yummy options for kids with a lovely staff who will love your kiddies too! ?Wheelchair accessibility: Lil ramp upon entrance with nice space ?“
“I had the best mussels ever! They were seasoned just right and even after eating them I still wanted more lol. The water was good because you know sometimes the water is off or tastes like a little dirt is in it. My mojito was so good as well. It was very light and refreshing. The brownie with vanilla ice cream was dead on! Customer service and atmosphere were superb! I also would like to point that it is downtown so there is limited parking spaces. I’m going back the next time I’m in Frederick!“
“A Frederick gem, no doubt. Even before you walk in, the plants and things surrounding the place let you know you're in for a treat. Inside you're greeted by vintage everything... except the menu and people! We had the Chicken Club Tortilla Wrap and it was delicious- far better than wraps elsewhere with its fresh tasty ingredients. They serve coffee here too. Yummy latte served in real cups (not disposable) so you don't feel rushed and you do feel welcomed.Street parking and very close garage across the street. We'll be back! You should check it out.“
“Great place for brunch and/or just hanging out and having cocktails. Their menu is creative and clever. That goes for both food and drink. The staff members are very attentive and polite. The upstairs lounge is always a vibe.I would recommend this place for a casual outing or for date night.“
“Our server was absolutely wonderful and went the extra mile to make sure that my mom had a great time celebrating her birthday. The food was incredible and exceeded my expectations. My husband and I love to watch the Voltaggio brothers on cooking shows and were excited to finally get to experience the food. We will definitely be eating there again.“
“Best restaurant in Frederick, we come here often for special occasions or just because. The service is great and the food never disappoints. I always recommend this restaurant whenever someone asks for a good place to eat. It's my favorite!“
“Great food and for the most part friendly people , but they are understaff but I appreciate them explaining their menu. We will definitely come back.Parking: There’s plenty of space but I can see this place getting super full in the summer time !“
“Made the drive from Hanover Pa and I will say it was well worth it. Starting with our waiter Garrett our entire experience was exactly what restaurants should model. The food was the best I’ve had in a long time. Will be back and if you’re in the Frederick area this is a must!!“
“Nothing not to love here at all. Incredibly imaginative and diverse menu of enormous sandwiches, salads and innovative variations on baked potato toppings. What they do, they do with supreme excellence. Pricing is most fair considering the generosity of the serving sizes; definitely a place to share a plate and not to feel bad about it. The "West of Santa Fe" salad hits the sweet spot of what they are best at; Tex-Mex and California cuisine with an upscale feel. Good selection of craft beers too for happy hour or maybe an early dinner before a Frederick Keys game, as we have done many times in the past. Don't let the business park location and industrial feel fool you. Very obviously the restaurant is run by foodies. One note: sub-optimal place for a business lunch or for (say) senior citizens despite the great accessibility: its austere and thus, loud inside. One can come back here dozens of times and not be bored.“
“It was a rainy evening, so maybe the ambiance would be better on another evening. Either way, the Catfish special was spectacular. So delicate inside and just the right amount of spice. It came on a bed of perfect and fine-ground grits with sweet and spicy brussel sprouts to die for.“
“My daughter and I had spent an afternoon in Frederick and wanted to try this place because I had heard of it before, so it was our first time being here and it was a very early dinner for us. I didn't realize how expensive dinner was the plate I was looking to order was $40 and I just couldn't justify that on that day because I had already spent so much money. The receptionist tried to make me go upstairs and then try to make me sit in some high chairs after I told her that I had a bad knee, so that was kind of annoying. But our waiter was a delight, and super friendly. While we were waiting for our dinner which was a salad and an order of poutine, a nice young man brought us over a sample of some soup. That soup was delicious! In fact everything we had was delicious including the French onion soup that I ordered. I had never had a french onion soup like that it was probably the best ever! We would definitely be back for lunch and a butterscotch creme brulee that I didn't get to order because I was stuffed and we had to run.“
“I've only been to JoJo's for their late moght offerings, but it is unmatched for that in the Frederick area. In particular, their chicken tenders, fried pickles, and truffle freas never disappoint. They have an often changing and always satisfying taplist of local craft brews. I come here about once a week.“
“The food is incredible. It is simple perfection. It’s not a place of luxury but that’s what makes it a great atmosphere. It's run by love from the sweetest family. All of the decor is plane related and shows lots of history, which makes so much sense because it’s right next to an airport. You see all different types of customers and that’s also really cool. The service is quick, you don’t have to look for your server when you need something because they are checking on you at appropriate times. We love this restaurant. The only bad thing I have to say about it is I wish it were closer to us.“
“I like the decor. It transports me back to Saturday mornings in the 90s, I can half imagine some guy with bleached hair and shades coming in with a surfboard and saying "radical dude"I liked the French onion soup. Coconut shrimp was ok. Brocolini was fantastic.“
“This was a very good experience with well prepared and presented food. First course of lentil and chorizo soup had depth of flavor lots of chorizo. Main course of vegetarian jambalaya was well seasoned and the spicy tomatoe sauce on the grilled eggplant was particularly good. My dessert of dark chocolate cake was the equal of any fine dining I can recall. Highly recommend this place, it's great for our Frederick students to get this kind of experience. Service was good, our waitress, Sophie, did a nice job“
“Worth stopping in. I can't imagine the number of times I've driven by Cactus Flats without stopping. I was in the area and, after reading reviews, decided to give it a shot for a late lunch. It's a nice, clean environment. Dated and a creaky floor, yes. Friendly service, yes.The food was okay, but it was a better value. We had the appetizer sampler (unremarkable), burger (pretty good!), and hamburger steak (whoa gravy!).Didn't break the bank. I'll be back to give it another try.“
“Stopped in on our way through town. Greeted by Jessica who apologized for the delay and asked for our patience. She took our drink order and brought our drinks over a few minutes later. We were then greeted by Craig, who was very friendly and outgoing. Both he and Jessica took their time giving their menu recommendations on a very slammed Sunday evening. I ordered the seafood flatbread. It was AMAZING!!!! The amazing food, very friendly staff… if I’m ever in the area again, I will defiantly be stopping in!!! Thank you Craig and Jessica!!“
“Actually, to tell the truth, This is the best restaurant cuisine in town! Better than Thacher & Rye, and reasonably priced. If you go, I suggest the dessert of frozen meringue with pistachio and dried fruit. Wow. What a treat!! I dare say this could be the best dessert I've ever had! Anywhere. The waiters/students were excellent, very attentive and fun to hear their culinary stories. “
“Everything was delicious, and the staff worked their butts off to make sure we got everything we asked for. Our table ordered ranch rings and deviled eggs - both were amazing. I ordered the filet mignon, and it was perfection. My husband and one of my sons ordered ribeyes, and they both said their meals were great. My other son said the sea bass was excellent. We will be back.“
“The “Showroom” Frederick is a perfect place to eat. We had a delicious breakfast with my mom and my son. The sugar-free coffee with cream was excellent! We loved the French Omelette with breakfast potatoes. Also, I appreciated that they have a special menu for children. The staff was nice and friendly.“

“Our first time here and we were quite impressed.Everything was spot on.Alex our server was awesome.Fast service, food was hot and amazing. Everyone was attentive including the gentleman that was clearing our table. (Sorry didn't get his name but he was equally pleasant and helpful)We will definitely be back.“
“I've be going here for about 10 years and have never had a bad experience. it is probably my favorite concert spot, I've attended all of the Maryland doom fest concerts here over the last 9 years. Great owners, support staff, good comfort food. Had the great pleasure of meeting and chatting with the owners while showing my wife around Frederick. Wonderful people. I really love this place.“
“Absolutely phenomenal service and food every time I come here. The cuts of steak are tender and flavorful, and always expertly cooked to order. Even the most basic side dishes are artfully seasoned and made with care. The service staff is always very kind and attentive, and the food always comes out quickly. The restaurant is clean and not overly loud, with adequate parking and sensible music to the atmosphere. One of the best steakhouses in Frederick!“
“If you like New York style bagels, this is the place to go! I have been longing for a spot in Frederick that serves amazing bagels, as well as coffee and this is the spot. Also has a lot of space for meeting friends and serves alcohol as well. Can’t really ask for anything more!“
“Rosa was our server. She was very nice and attentive. The menu has many different and interesting options for the Sunday brunch. The food came quickly. The room we were in was close together with other tables, I don't particularly mind that, but you can hear everyone talking. The food was very good. Collectively we had the salmon, pork, scallops and egg salad sandwich. The French fries were great. The scallops were excellent as was everything else. All plates were empty. My only suggestion is have more vegetarian options. The quiche had bacon, the omelet had bacon, all salads have meat. We will definitely go back.“
