“As a transplant from Texas, we have been searching and trying a lot of Mexican restaurants. This little restaurant tucked away in a shopping center was a pleasant surprise. Wife liked her margarita and beef enchiladas. I enjoyed my carne asada with yucca and plantains. It is probably one of the better Mexican (type) restaurants in Fredrick area if we do not consider Guapo’s and Ixtapalapa.“
“I've tried several Mexican / Latin American restaurants in Frederick and this is definitely the one of if not the best. The food is great but still very affordable. It's a great value. The place is not fancy but when the food is good who needs the fancy decor? One of the best chori pollos I've had.“
“My recent dinner at Fajita Grande was a delightful experience, especially with their shrimp dishes on the menu. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, tender and succulent with a delicious flavor that was enhanced by the seasoning and sauces. Whether it was grilled shrimp tacos or sizzling shrimp fajitas, each dish showcased the freshness and quality of the seafood. The ambiance at Fajita Grande was vibrant and festive, with colorful decor and lively music setting the mood for a fun dining experience. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. If you're a fan of shrimp, Fajita Grande is definitely worth a visit.“
“I'm shocked I haven't already left a review for Big Papi's! This is one of my favorite restaurants in town.Their motto, "Real Good Tacos", is the humblest statement I've seen come directly from a restaurant. The tacos are amazing, and rebranding as such would be far more accurate.Located in the former location of Taste Buds (who had the best homefries in Frederick), on industry lane, I stumbled across Big Papi's about a year ago. Drawn in by the Quesabirria, I was so blown away by this massive quessadilla served like a pizza that it took me several visits to start exploring the rest of the menu.Their birria is moist, flavorful, and my personalfavorite. I've had it in the quessabirria, tacos, quessadillas, in a tostada, and on French fries. I have enjoyed it every time.Kid-friendliness: Kids eat free!“
“I loved this place. The service was spectacular. Really great margaritas. We had drinks at the bar then got a table for six. Again the service was amazing. Drinks and food came very quickly and food was great. I had the grilled chicken Enchiladas and loved them. Great place if you haven't tried it, you should.“
“Coming from a fellow Hispanic this is one of the best Mexican food hot spots in the frederick area. Open on friday Saturday and Sunday evenings I would recommend the carne asada or the steak burritos and tacos. You can eat in your car or they will wrap up to go. For those who don't speak Spanish dont worry they speak English!!“
“I should have taken pictures of the food too but alas, all I took a picture of was THE BEST fried ice cream I've ever had. Our waiter, Matias, was fantastic and the food was super good! This place opened less than a week ago so give them a try!“
“The food has great flavor, I ordered some beef fajitas, and they were incredible, soft and juicy, I just arrived from Mexico, and the taste of the food in this place is similar but good flavor. The waitress was very friendly and always gave us refills of tortilla chips. It is an environment where you can talk, my only negative point is that they need better mood extractors, when you leave the place your clothes smell like food.“
“We love the Mexican food here and the atmosphere! In the warmer months, we enjoy eating outside on their patio. The staff is very alert and aware that you are there, and they care about your business. We keep coming back to try different dishes and it’s always satisfying!“
“Simply the best enchiladas I've ever had. Their ground beef is the bomb, the pulled chicken is great, and the cheese melts all over the place and makes everything better. The chimichanga is the best around. Love the wait staff, and the atmosphere is nice.“
“Hands-down the best Mexican food in Urbana. Angelica was there making food when we arrived and it’s helped by two family members. She’s set up shop in a humble setting with handmade tables and cheerful flowers making for a fun setting. The menu is limited to just tacos, so it’s like an actual street taco south of the border. Choices include spicy pork, traditional steak or chicken. Corn tortillas, pico de gallo and equally delicious green and red sauce on the side are included. Sliced radishes served on the side in lieu of chips was a nice touch and an appreciated healthy addition to the meal. This was a remarkable surprise for an affordable lunch in Urbana. We will certainly be back again.“
“Lunch for 2, in and out in 20 minutes and just under $20! A simple, inexpensive taco joint to grab a quick bite- expect no bells and whistles, but pretty darn good food. The place is nothing to look at- it is small and inside a shopping plaza. We have been here a few times and service is quick, attentive, and friendly. We ordered a taco salad (chicken was shredded, flavorful, and juicy) and the taco platter (came with 2 tacos, beans and rice). Come on in and spread some love at these smaller local joints.“
“I ordered the steak bowl and the food was fresh, really well seasoned and was enough for two meals. I love the fact that they don't charge extra for guacamole or queso. The employees were very helpful. I will be going back to try some of the items. I liked it much better than Chipotle.“
“I'd heard about this place from others, so was looking forward to our planned lunch pickup from them. We were driving through the area and wanted to grab some tacos for lunch. We called ahead to order and that requires some patience as the atmosphere in the background is lively and you need to make sure you're clear in your request. The PDF menu online and what is on the online order menu are different - both pricing and options - so we stuck with the filling choices from the PDF menu. I went for a chicken taco and a chorizo taco. They are on two corn tortillas (flour available by request for a slight upcharge) that are amply filled with meat that is clearly well prepared and seasoned. All tacos are served with a side of cilantro, onions, radish and cucumbers with two salsas (red and green). The chorizo was by far my favorite, but both were good. They were filling and just what we needed for lunch that day.“
“Straight to the point, these tacos were STUFFED. I really appreciated how much meat came in each taco, only thing is that the different meats didn't really taste too different from each other. Other than that the staff was great and welcoming. Plus, the restaurant itself was clean and had lots of seating. I actually liked the fact that they leave all the topping at a side bar for you to add yourself.“
“We had a great time and enjoyed our experience throughout. Some dishes, like the Lomo Saltado were exquisite. The ceviche and the mussels were also excellent dishes. The guacamole was well seasoned and refreshing. Unfortunately, the paellas were just about average. The rice was overcooked, borderline mushy. The flavor could have been a little bit more pronounced as well. Drink wise, we really enjoyed the selection the restaurant had to offer. I found the margaritas to be one of the better ones served out there.“
“First time that I've eaten there,ifI didn't live in Ks. it would be my go to Mexican restaurant. Their shrimo chimichanga was delicious, some of the best margaritas that I've found since moving from South Padre Island and their chips and salsa are very high on my list for favorites.“
“I hadn't been here in quite some time and I don't know why not! Met some friends here for Happy Hour which had decent specials. Had the 1/2 price appetizer of Yuca & Chicarron which was delicious & 2 Patron Margaritas.. And then I had the Combination #3 with 2 Enchiladas(Beef) & 1 Tamal(Chicken). The service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was clean and the bathroom seemed to have been recently renovated. It was clean and modern. Several staff came to check on us during our meal. We will be back. The only thing that would have made it better would be seating outside in the fresh air!“
“Great margaritas and tasty food. My wife was expecting the shrimp in the taco to be warm and the soft taco shells were also not heated. Is it me or does this not sound correct. Maybe the chef does it differently here because everywhere else we've been it's heated . Other then that everything else was good.“
“First time in here! Like I always like to view all points when visiting a restaurant.First is costumer service! Great! I have no complaints they were fast to take my orden and got food ready.Negative is once I got the food! It’s was to salty! Pupusas can do better and the curtido can do a much much better job.Overall the food needs more improvement!“
“Although the food was good and I have no complaints about the food, the place seems to need a little bit of love to make it look like the taco Bell it was because it's starting to look old n dirty in my opinion. It's not so bad that you take a look and think you might get sick or get bad food, but enough to notice that the rain made black lines on the exterior of the building in areas and little things like that. For the most part the employees were nice, with the exception of one young lady I wish I got the name of, and I did get my order fresh, hot, correct and fast. Over all I give this particular Taco Bell location 4 stars, but I do think it'd be nice to have someone take a look at a few minor cosmetic issues there so the atmosphere and look matches the product they put out. ?Parking: There's not much to say other than there's definitely parking ?Kid-friendliness: Although they don't have a play area I did see booster seats and they do have dishes suitable for kids. My 3 tore up some Taco Bell ?Wheelchair accessibility: They do have handicap spaces as well as an area right at the door where the sidewalk does meet the height of the road for wheelchairs to easily get into the sidewalk as well as anyone using anything else in order to walk.“
“Its my families second time comming here for dinner, and I am very disappointed in the service of our waitress. No introduction, no manners or politeness. We were incredibly off put by her behavior. Never once we were checked on and had to put our empty drinks at the edge of our table as a final plea for refills. Food was delicious, but service was horrible.“
“OMG! This food has so much flavor!! You'll never want to go to another Americanized Mexican restaurant again! I ordered online on a Wednesday around 11:45. Easy to order, easy to pay. Was told it would be ready to pickup in 30 minutes. I got there in 25 minutes and it was ready and hot! I ordered the Carne Asada ($16.99) and a Taco Pupusa ($6.99). I don't know what they marinate that steak in, but I want the recipe!! The tortillas were hearty & fluffy, the rice was spiced perfectly and the sauces with the pupusa were spot-on!! The beans needed salt and I would have benefited from a real steak knife, but I will definitely be going back there again!!“
