“The TLDR is that this is the literal best Thai food I have ever had and I have had a lot of Thai food. Everything is super high quality and packed with flavor. This is so far above the average Thai restaurant, it's hard for me to overstate how good it is. Some of the faves of ours is: -Tom Yum (all of them) -Crispy Chicken (with fried Thai basil leaves) -Drunken Noodles -Pad Thai -Mango Sticky Rice -Coconut Ice cream w/ Sticky rice This place knocks all of the dishes out of the park, is very reasonably priced and you get very healthy portions. You do get a little more when you dine in versus take-out. It all travels super well and anything fried stays crispy on the commute because they vent their boxes so it's not steaming itself on the ride. It's a small place with only about 5-6 tables and it's not at all unusual to find it packed with a small wait for dinner. You'll definitely want to make reservations but walking in is totally possible. You Might just need to chill for 5-15 min. Worth noting that they can customize the heat level and they are very good at it. The hottest is Thai hot, which is no joke. It's not replacing flavor with the taste of your face melting off so whatever level heat you enjoy, you'll get the full experience. If you like or even love Thai food, you NEED to eat here. If you don't like Thai food, this might genuinely be the place that changes that for you. 10/10 Must Eat“
“Ordered on DoorDash and the food was really good. Usually Chinese food is dissapointing in the area but the fried dumplings were flavorful and crisp. The fried rice was good and the Szechuan beef is delish. Also the hot and sour soup was really good.“
“Our goto place in Gaithersburg. Very neat and clean. Love their drunken noodles, lomein. Thai dumplings were ok. The ambience is pretty. They do have alcohol. We tried aladdin sake & house sake which was hot. There is plenty of garage parking right behind the restaurant.“
“My go to Thai restaurant. Have tried majority of the dishes on the menu. Family own restaurant and attentive staff. My favorite dishes include crab fried rice add on pineapples, pad prik fish, and red/green curry variations with different protein.“
“Really nice thai place in the Kentlands neighborhood. The food is finger-licking good. We love their papaya salad and green curry the most. Other currys and stir fry are also superb. They need a few more staff so the service could be faster but overall it wasnt bad. Food comes piping hot!“
“Well prepared good quality food. We had their lunch special and everything was great. I highly recommend the spring rolls. Food is always good here. Busy restaurant does a lot of businessParking: Parking is available in front of the restaurant as well as on the other side of the strip mall.“
“We had a catering event scheduled for last week. The staff was very helpful in helping me plan the menu. It was ready on time and so yummy! The drunken noodles were a fan favorite and the mango sticky rice was a big hit!! Lots of flavor and class!!!“
“Just hit up the best Thai restaurant ever - The Thai Cuisine Restaurant! ?? Literally every bite was a journey to flavor town, except the soup of the day was a slight miss. But with their quick and friendly service, this place is unbeatable. #ThaiCuisineTopPick #FoodieFave #UnmatchedFlavors #“
“Came here with a friend for the first time and the interior is super cute! The interior design and decor alone make it worth a visit. I ordered the Tom yum fried rice which was mildly spicy, temperature came out super hot which was nice, but wasn’t able to taste the flavor as much of the dish itself. Ordered it with chicken as my protein and the chicken was a bit dry and bland. Tried their version of the margarita which was pretty good, had a unique flavor.Suggestions for improvement- Service could’ve been better- Server seemed impatient when we asked about menu items and had an attitude. I’d probably come back to try other menu items.“
“I had dinner here last night. Our waitress overheard me and my friend discussing the safety of my E Bike parked outside. She came over and told me I can bring it inside the restaurant and park it near the door, so I could keep an eye on it. I was very impressed and grateful. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“Food was really good. Atmosphere was casual, decor a bit weird. Prices were ok - not great. Service was not necessarily friendly, but attentive and fast. There was a good amount of parking, but a lot of traffic made the lot hard to navigate.“
“I’m in town for a few days from suburban Atlanta, where we have a pretty good Thai food scene, but this place is my new favorite! The Tom Kha soup, with its significant overtones of lemon is outstanding! The Basil Fried Rice is made with a hint of chili pepper that really rings my bell! And the Wonton Soup, something I might usually take for granted, was the best I ever had! Five Stars and Two Thumbs Way Up! I’ll be back! As a Governator of California once said!??“
“I placed an online order for pick-up. The site was very user friendly, I had no issues placing my order. When I arrived at the restaurant, the employees were super kind and greeted me right away. It was very clean inside and super cute.My food was made right away and I took it home. It was still hot. Very delicious. Highly recommend this place. I ordered the panang curry with chicken. This was my first time here and it won’t be my last.“
“The restaurant has remodeled since they closed their dining area during COVID. It's very modern inside with plenty of tables for seating. We came during lunch on a weekday and it wasn't crowded. I ordered the Drunken Noodles. It was so so. Not the best Drunken Noodles I've had before. It was a bit on the drier side - not enough sauce to coat the noodles. My brother ordered the Crispy Duck with Basil and that dish was actually very delicious and came out with plenty of meat! I highly recommend this dish for anyone who likes duck. My mom ordered the Floating Market Noodle Soup and it was also filled with lots of meat. It reminded us of the Vietnamese beef noodle soup.“
“Wow - This is definitely a notch above the other Thai restaurants in the area. The layout of the menu is perfect for meat eaters and vegetarians. There are 2 fresh beers on draft. Also, the service is stellar - they remember their regulars and the place feels like an upscale family owned and operated restaurant. I would say the drunken noodles are amazing, but after trying several dishes, pretty much everything is great on the menu and the taste really varies between dishes. This place is a hit.“
“KIN has replaced Zane Eatery and they are awesome. Legit Japanese ramen and tonkatsu (easily as good we had in Tokyo). Will bring our own Sapporo until the get their liquor license (which will probably be soon). Can hardly wait to try the Thai food!!!“
“Excellent food and friendly service! I come with a big crew every time I go out to eat(At least 7 kids, hubby and MIL!) and the order is always right!Kid-friendliness: They kindly offer tiny ice cream scoop at the end of a meal. The kids are so happy for this little perk!“
“Great Thai food. The phuket surprise was delicious as was the mango salad, and the mango sticky rice was great. The chicken green curry was good (I've had better). Atmosphere is very nice - but very crowded and can get loud. Definitely worth going “
“Not only are they one of the few places around that have both curry puff and crab rangoon on the menu, those items are consistently great whenever we order. The mango sticky rice is also very good. One thing I do hope they add to their menu in the future is a side of regular sticky rice.“
“Located in the Muddy Branch shopping center next to First Watch, Lum Thai promises an authentic Thai dining experience that tantalizes the taste buds and delights the senses. My recent visit was nothing short of excellence, as I enjoyed a flavorful journey through the rich and vibrant tapestry of Thai cuisine. We started with the Chicken Wings, a dish that proved to be a delightful combination of crispy perfection and aromatic flavor of garlic. We also ordered the Chicken Pop, a Thai-style popcorn chicken that was simply irresistible. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these bite-sized morsels were bursting with flavor. For our main courses, we opted for the classic Pad Thai with chicken and the Drunken Noodles with beef (medium spice level). Both dishes were a combination of flavors and textures, expertly prepared to showcase the essence of Thai cuisine. The Pad Thai had the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy notes, while the Drunken Noodles captivated our palates with its bold and spicy undertones. Throughout the meal, the employees ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. The constant friendly smiles of the employees were so welcoming. Their kindness and attentiveness added an extra layer of warmth to the already inviting atmosphere, leaving a lasting impression on us. Lum Thai surpassed all expectations, delivering a culinary experience that was both memorable and gratifying. From the delectable dishes to the impeccable service, every aspect of our visit was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence. I will surely be returning to try other dishes!“
