“Absolutely one of our favorite restaurants, the food is delicious and so satisfying. Family owned restaurant with superb home cooking. Each pho restaurant has their own family recipe and this one is stellar on taste and quality. Always a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, friendly and wonderful staff.Vegetarian options: Can easier get tofu or non-meat alternatives and in general the food and flavors selections are delicious.Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten free options, plenty of rice and rice noodle choices.Kid-friendliness: Relaxing for kids, high chairs and in general delicious choices for everyone.“
“This is from South Korea.I eat pho quite often in Korea. I came to Baltimore for a conference and missed Asian food, so I visited this restaurant.I ordered P2, Pho with beef. I paid $11.60 and received my food. Compared to Korea, the amount is huge. It also contains a lot of meat. Usually, I get hungry after just eating rice noodles, but here it was difficult to eat the entire bowl. I guess this is American size. The chopstick bag has instructions on how to use chopsticks (of course, I am an expert at using chopsticks).Cilantro, onion, scallion, and thinly sliced rare beef were included in beef broth, and bean sprouts, basil, lime, and jalapeno pepper were served separately on the plate. It's better than most Korean Vietnamese restaurants! There were several restaurants in a shabby building, and the atmosphere wasn't very bright. However, I was able to have a delicious meal thanks to the friendly staff.“
“Best Vietnam restaurant in the city. We keep coming back because of the consistency of the deliciousness. The owner takes good care of the food they serve, she goes there early morning to marinate the meat. I always get the combo pho, grilled combo meat, and shrimp salad. The clay pot fish is nice too. Good people work here, they are always genuinely kind to everyone.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at VN Noodle House, a Vietnamese restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. Despite arriving just 30 minutes before closing time, the staff greeted us warmly and provided top-notch service as if they had just opened. The food was exceptional - fresh, hot, and bursting with flavor. My personal favorites were the combination summer rolls and the combination rice bowl. The summer rolls were beautifully wrapped and filled with a delightful assortment of fresh vegetables and protein, while the rice bowl was generously topped with tender meats and savory sauces. Not only was the food delicious, but the customer service was also outstanding. The staff were attentive, friendly, and accommodating, ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish.Overall, VN Noodle House is a gem of a restaurant that I highly recommend. Whether you're a fan of Vietnamese cuisine or looking to try something new, you won't be disappointed by the quality of food and service offered here. I'll definitely be returning soon to explore more of their menu offerings.“
“Go-to spot for a very quick in-and-out bowl of pho! When in a hurry, 5UP is a great option. I come here after working out at PowerHouse down the street and am home within 15 minutes--park, order, grab and gooo. Amazing. Taste is on-point. I tend to like mine on the spicer side so I add Sriracha sauce and extra jalapeños.“
“First time at this establishment….the food was delicious… I ordered the beef brisket. It was seasoned well and was one of the best I have had so far in the Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia area…. I will be coming again soon…3 stars only because it is really a carry out… the restaurant environment was good but plan to take you food with you. See you soon…“
“I’ve been coming here for years, and I still believe it is the most well-balanced, most authentic pho that you can get in the DMV. They are consistently good and the portions are always decent.Last time I checked they only accept cash, but that might have changed since they recently have had new management. I usually pay in cash here anyways out of habit. The atmosphere could use some work, but if you are here for the food then you chose the right pho spot.“
“I wanted Pho and my normal spot was to far to drive so I decided to give this place a try. I must say it was busy inside with dine in customers. My Spicy Chicken Pho was good. It was spicy however not overwhelming. Broth was flavorful ingredients was fresh. Chicken was tender. I definitely will add this to my list of favorite spots!“
“OK. I had Bun Bo Hue and not Pho. It was very good. But to get it to taste the way it should, you need to ask for mam tom- shrimp paste. They will bring you a small dish with a table spoon of mam tom and fried chili in oil. Mam tom has a very strong odor but 1/2 teaspoon of it in your spicy beef noodle soup will completely change its flavor. What I like is the pork shank in the soup. It is very well seasoned compared to many other restaurants I e been to. What they do not add to their soup is cubes of cooked pig's blood, which is found in authentic dish. I am pretty certain that most people wouldn't miss it. Also, not all the herbs that should serve with this soup were provided. That said, unless you have had authentic soup before, you would not miss them. Yes, without all the usual herbs, the dish is dumbed down somewhat. What I do not like is their misleading advertisement "buy 5 get 1 free." You have to buy 5 bowls at the same time to get one free. So it isn't a reward program for frequent customers. That said, I will go back for more spicy beef noodle soup.“
“Fantastic soups and appetizers at fair prices ! The BEST "Comfort Food" around, for those rainy, bluesy days-- or Any time! ? It's always clean, well-lighted, and somehow remains peaceful/quiet even when crowded. The menu items range from authentic, exotic dishes for the discerning lover of Vietnamese food to simpler, more "accessable" dishes that appeal to the less-adventurous ? (example: the chicken noodle soup [pho] is a hit with even the pickiest kids!)Wheelchair accessibility: I assume it's ADA-compliant, but the front door area seems like it'd be tough to manage in a wheelchair unless one had TWO helpers to holding both doors open. Once inside, looks like one could get around with minimal effort.“
“Straight to the point: THE FOOD WAS SO FLAVORFUL & A REALLY GOOD PORTION!! Service was excellent, they were very nice and very attentive. The atmosphere was very relaxing and clean. Honestly, I would give it more stars if I could. It is hard to find a place this good in Baltimore.PS I recomment the diced beef w/ fried egg rice“
“I love this place! Their service is always fast, friendly and the food comes out quickly. Their broth is always super flavorful and fresh. I usually order the brisket pho which is packed with noodles and they don't skimp out on the brisket meat. Definitely one of my favorite comfort food places in Mount Vernon!!“
“I love this place. The owner is nice, provides great service, and he really cares if you enjoy your meal. I miss him when he isn’t there sometimes. I always get phö and its always on point. I recommend the #4 and #5. Add some bean sprouts, chili oil, sriracha, hot sauce and hoisin sauce and it is perfect. If you make the phö too spicy, it pairs really well with a smoothie, mango and strawberry are my favorites.“
“I only had an appetizer and some coffee, and both were top-notch. I came an hour before closing and stayed until it was closing time, and not once did the waitress or bartender make me feel rushed.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp in the front.“
“The banh mi is top notch here. I've shopped around at different offerings. But so far they have the better of the bunch. Still looking for that one that's the best for me. Pho broth can be borderline salty, which can mask the richness of a good flavored broth. Pick up food if you're around. One a the few spots in the city to get vietnamese food“
“I recently stopped by this restaurant for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance. It's a full-service establishment, perfect for enjoying a nice dinner or lunch. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which added to the overall positive experience.I had the honey salmon with mango and rice, and it was absolutely delicious! The combination of flavors was delightful, and the dish was prepared perfectly.I'll definitely be returning soon to explore more of their menu. Highly recommended!“
“Pho is good here. Been several times recently and it’s consistently good. Portions are good as well. Tried their spicy broth today, and it’s was good too. Not too spicy, but just right. Bowl prices are a little on the high side IMO, but not terrible. Plenty of noodles and ingredients. The owner is very friendly. This is becoming my go to place more recently.“
