“Food was good. I like how the wait time for my takeout orders are never long. The employees are super friendly and knowledgeable about their menu because I always have questions so I can order exactly what I want. The freshness is what keeps me coming. Strongly recommend.“
“I never leave reviews but have to for Royal Taj. Every time I come here, I have a five star experience. Excellent food and decor, plus outstanding service. Are you celebrating anything? Have a drink on the house! Here's my glass of (really good) red wine, complimentary with my take-out order. Because what's not to celebrate about getting yummy Indian takeout on a Wed night ?“
“We celebrated here with family for my wife’s birthday. From the first step into the restaurant everyone was welcoming, right on top of getting us situated and more than happy to ensure we were comfortable. We had our three kiddos with us so finding a good spot so that we could relax was super nice of the team.“
“Excellent service by our host Sam, and the rest of the team. We ordered chicken curry, mango lassi, and mango kulfi (ice cream). Everything was spectacular, and very well priced. When walking out, we forgot our leftover boxes, and the manager quickly walked out, got our attention, and gave them to us. Great job Harbor Tandoor!!!“
“Literally the best Naan I've ever had in my life. And it's literally just garlic Naan but it's done so well and when you can do the simple things you KNOW the rest is going to be phenomenal. Chicken Korma was no exception. Delicious. Mango Lassi was super refreshing and tasted homemade too!The employees here are so freaking nice too!!Definitely come here if you want a chill Indian spot if you're not a local and wanna people watch with great food. (They also had a full bar and all the drinks I saw made looked really good, but I didn't have any)“
“Went on a Saturday for the lunch buffet. Every dish was AWESOME! Great selection of food, naan for the table, and the chai was delicious. We could only eat 2 plates before we were all stuffed! This is a "hidden" gem that should have a line out the door 24/7. Can't wait to go back!“
“Absolutely AMAZING dinner experience!!!! We enjoyed the food so much and the drinks and desserts are superb (: The service was very amicable and quick!! We had so many different meals and on average as a group of five spent about $25 each. I love the Rose Falooda and the Desi Chai was so fresh and warm. Definitely come eat here, the restaurant is new and deserves to treat many more customers!!!Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly for sure, there is a kids menu!Wheelchair accessibility: Wide aisles, can easily pull up to a table“
“We have been enjoying meals at Indigma for over 10 years. This is by far the absolute best Indian Cuisine Restaurant I have visited! The food is delicious and ALWAYS very fresh. The ambience is warm and cozy with beautiful Indian art and traditional Indian music. The owner is Chef Tony and is amazing. He always makes sure my meals are prepared fulfilling all of my dietary limitations. I prefer not to ever eat at any other Indian restaurant, even if it’s out of town because there is no comparison. The samosa’s… are FRESH and deliciously seasoned. I promise you, there is no comparison. INDIGMA…treat yourself and someone special to something special. Oh and for my Vegan friends…ask about Jacqui’s special dish.Vegetarian options: There is a nice selection of vegetarian options. Also, because everything is made fresh per order, you can make requests to have meals prepared without meat.Dietary restrictions: First I stopped eating dairy products. I informed Chef Tony and he revised the recipe to eliminate dairy from my meals. My favorite dish was Chicken Tikka Masala. Then I stopped eating meat. Chef Tony made suggestions of vegan dishes. They were delicious, but I missed the Masala sauce. Chef Tony created a special dish for me that includes a special nondairy Masala sauce and fresh vegetables. Myyyyyyyyyy goodness it’s delicious!Parking: I usually find parking on the street. There is also a parking lot across the street.Kid-friendliness: Warm, welcoming host and servers“
“I had a large order last night for my family and everything was PERFECT. Delivered on time and hot and delicious. The Butter Chicken was amazing, the Paneer Makani was the best ever and the Goat Curry was tender and flavorful. Ive never had such delicious Naan bread either. My brothers didn't think they would like Indian food and they did. This was a real treat and it's so nice to get everything exactly as you ordered it. Great job ?“
“Ordered from here via Doordash and didn't receive any napkins or utensils ?. But I forgive them because my lunch was soo delicious. I ordered the garlic tomato tofu that comes with 2 sides I choose sweet potatoes and garlic spinach everything was just perfect. Would absolutely recommend this place to all of my fellow vegan/vegetarians.“
“This is the only place in Baltimore I get my Indian cruisine. They have the best garlic naan. With any of the dish it goes so well. I had the butter chicken today and the species were mixed together perfectly. Had a great aroma. Would recommend 10/10:))“
“I do a lot of traveling, I eat a lot of food in different places from different cultures. This place was definitely in my top 5 in Curry related restaurants. Will definitely be visiting next time I come to the Baltimore area. If you are thinking of this place, don't sleep on the option.“
“After a flight from Mexico, we needed some desi food, and this place was Amazing. Very close to the airport, and offers variety of food! The owner Babul is from Bangladesh and offered us many different food, we felt like home! The taste is delicious i have to say. Parking was available, and free tea For EVERYONE! Nothing can beat that experience after a long journey with another long drive ahead.Made our day, thank you Babul vai and Kabob and Curry, will be back.“
“Is this a 5 star, waiter wearing a suit/tuxedo with a towel draped over his arm? No. It was better! The staff were kind, generous, appreciative and most of all, genuine. The food was amazing! Their menu is extensive with items you don't find at most Indian restaurants. We had the Chicken Korma and the Lamb Malabar. The lamb was so tender, it practically melted in your mouth. The Korma was rich and creamy and delicious. The portions were generous with plenty of meat. The naan was hot and fresh from the tandoori. I only wish I didn't live 2 hours away!“
“I come here once every two three months and honestly each time I visit or Takeout, I have not ordered anything except Mali Kofta and Palak Paneer which I absolutely love it. Every now and then I order Sizzling Chicken Tikka Kabab for the appetizer; I love how it comes, they are sizzling, but somehow it taste so bland even when you order extra spicy. Something is missing in ingredients and they are bit hard as well. Service and Staff are Fantastic!!“
“I wouldn’t have known this hidden gem was here if not for Google. They sell fresh produce and packaged items in the grocery store, they have a cute seating area in the back, and they sell some of the most delicious, flavorful food I’ve bought from a restaurant in a while. The owner was so nice as well. I got the chicken corn soup, chicken roast with polao (yum!), I don’t know what type of samosas these were. Check them out!Dietary restrictions: Halal. Vegetarian options available.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp accessible“
“I just ordered food through Uber. I have food allergies and when I called them he was so great about it. It was awesome customer service. Now food OMGGGGGGGGG best Pakistani food no joke. I am picky as hell when I say their food is amazing. It was amazing. Can’t wait to try this place in person!!!! Thank you for awesome food. Perfect way to open fast!!! Chana was the best finally really Pakistani Chana dish!!! ❤️?❤️“
“This is my favorite place to relax catch up work and have a really really great meal. This is easily the most complete Indian/Nepali buffet I have been to. All my favorite items alway fully stocked including freaking brewed chai tea and soup of the day. The service is excellent and everyone there is extremely welcoming a kind.Vegetarian options: Dhal, Paneer and Chana are my favorites“
“We got the thali...overall food was flavorful....good price point...but the chicken in the butter chicken and Tikka chicken (I think) was hard and tasteless. It was white meat and maybe needed a bit more marinating. We liked the rest of all the items?“
“I am obsessed with this place. I’m just going to list some of my faves, but know the entire menu is insanely delicious.Lamb keema mattar - my go to order.Lamb Rogan Josh - my other go to order.Chicken soup - if you are sick this will heal you.Chicken curry - not as heavy as the butter/tikka options but just as flavorful.Chan masala - the best chickpeas I’ve had.Chan saag - my other veg go to.Note that the saags are the spiciest thing they serve (imo). I order everything medium except saag, I have to go mild with those. No idea who’s ordering anything spicier than medium here, but you’re wild.“
“Under new management this place is outstanding The food is incredible. The atmosphere is amazing. The new owners are very friendly, welcoming and will care to you as One would expect. Highly recommend this place. I’ve been ordering from here since the new owners have been here. Have gotten catering from them as well as special orders of sweets. I’ve ate here 5+ times brought different friends for dinner. And every time it was out of the ballpark amazing food!“
“Phenomenal, authentic Indian cuisine! Delicious meals available for any palate, with options for mild, medium, or hot.Excellent service, friendly atmosphere! We have dined in as a family, enjoyed date night and amazing drinks from the bar, and frequently order take out; each and every meal is fresh and made to order.“
“I went to the buffet. Indian cuisine isn't one of my favorite cuisines, but I did enjoy this buffet. It was clean, food tasted fresh and seasoned very well. My stand outs was the butter chicken and the vegetable fried rice. Plus, the mango yogurt drink I had was refreshing. Definitely will go back.“
“Got the Chicken Korma plate with naan and rice. Delicious. The nan was the some of the best I've had - buttery and super fresh. The chicken korma was nice and spicy, had great flavor being bone-in. The rice was perfectly seasoned (not too salty) and had a perfect texture. Nice fellow at the front to boot!“
“This is an outstanding place to get authentic Indian food from this family owned small business. The butter chicken was amazing!! Be sure to ask for the lemon/mint drink, it’s so refreshing! All of this at an affordable price. Don’t miss out!!“
“I can't speak to the service or atmosphere because this was delivery, but the food was delicious. We had the shrimp biryani, goat biryani, veg samosa, garlic Naan, and samosa curat. Was all very good. The shrimp biryani was unexpectedly spicy which was fine with me, but I don't believe I read that on the menu so if you don't do spicy beware. I do have to mention the spices the biryani is cooked that aren't intended to be eaten are not removed, so keep that in mind. Could be a little annoying if you're simply trying to dig in. But I appreciate the layers of flavor they bring. Very authentic tasting. They pack the containers with food so prepare for leftovers. Overall I will be going back for an in person experience.“
“If you want an incredible quaint and delicious experience, try lumbinis! My friends and I love their lunch buffet. There are so many options that are packed with flavor and just the right amount of spice (or not for others!) Highly recommend!“
“I gave atmosphere a 5, but clearly it's a food truck so... the food was VERY flavorful and good. I ordered a saag chicken, chicken masala and vegetable samosas. Oh, and Naan which was also very well done. The portion size to price was more than even.“
“Entered right after opening and my order was taken almost immediately (I knew what I wanted.) Food (the Trini Doubles) was prepared quickly and was relatively flavorful and very filling. The Mango Lassi I ordered as drink was also delicious and luxurious. Cozy ambience, great service, good food- 9/10“
“Great place for brunch, lots of options and always really tasty. It is all Indian fare, so if you're expecting chicken fingers or other American dishes on the buffet, you won't find it. Staff is super friendly and the drinks flow “
“Absolutely wonderful restaurant. The food was flavorful and the spicy level was the perfect amount. We had lamb dishes, onion bahjia, garlic naan, and mango lassi. The service was so nice and everyone was warm and welcoming. The prices were reasonable at about $1-2 above average for the cuisine but the atmosphere, service, and quality are more than worth it.“
“The food was really good, the paneer butter masala was amazing. The host was kind and showed me to my table and refilled my table’s water multiple times during my time there. The mango lassi also had quite an exquisite taste and was delicious. I definitely recommend this to anyone who loves Indian food as the restaurant makes the food to fit your taste as I don’t really eat spicy food. Keep up the great work!“
“Hi Mirchi Work restaurant team, Food is good, but feel there should be more change to the menu items, for customers who wish to visit again. Coz I visited the place like 2 times. For - 25$, I feel the buffet spread can be even more spread. can add biryani to the buffet. if no biryani then, add something to replace its place :-)“
“Great food and one of our favorite date night spots. The meat and vegetable delight meals are always perfectly spiced and delicious (come with multiple courses). Highly recommend dining in, we always leave with easy to reheat leftovers. Parking is not hard to find. Take out also seems popular and I'm not surprised.“
“Kumari in Mount Vernon is the best of the best! Been going here since 2015 and haven't stopped. It has amazing employees, a very peaceful atmosphere, and a wonderful food selection. If you go by yourself, I would recommend the buffet from 11-3pm. It has a great selection, complimentary chai and mango lassi, and usually two dessert options. If you're with people, I recommend the buffet again, but for dinner, I recommend sharing a few variety dishes. The dishes can get very spicy, so play it safe when you tell them your spice level. Also, this restaurant is great for vegetarians, but if you have allergy restrictions or questions, don't hesitate to ask. The employees are very kind and informative. In conclusion, go get some yummy food!“
“I had not dined at House of India for a long time and decided to have dinner here while I was in the neighborhood last night, a Saturday. Dinner was wonderful -- vegetable samosas (spicy but not too much!), chicken tikka, roti. Wine by the glass did not seem over-priced compared to trend I've been seeing at other places, and it was a generous quantity that lasted through the meal. Restaurant interior is nicely decorated and feels very cozy at the same time, though they look ready to handle a crowd. I'm glad that they have avoided putting up any large TV screens, which can spoil dining out rather than provide a distraction, in my opinion.“
“We had lunch buffet, one time, and they look at all the time, fuck is wonderful. Restaurant is under new ownership and ownerships are warm and hospitality is wonderful.I highly recommended trying the salmon and spinach chat.Lunch buffet is stocked with multiple fragrant, vegetarian, and non-vegetarian dishes.“
“We had to come to the locksmith and I needed a snack. I went there simply because one of the techs at the locksmith was eating something that smelled so good!! I ordered the samosas. They came 2 to a serving with one sauce. I am not sure what was in the sauce but I liked it. It was a creamier consistency but green and not runny. The samosas were perfectly fried and the filling was very good! They were moist and not to dry, and a little spicy but not enough to make u really feel hot. I would eat there again!!“
“Conveniently located only 10 minutes from BWI Airport. Small place but lots of choices. We ordered 2 personal pies... a saag paneer (mild) and a chicken Tikka masala (medium spice). They were quite generous portions-- leftovers welcome! Delicious both of them. Good service with a smile. In nice weather there is one table for 4 outside; inside is tiny so takeout is a better option. Reasonably priced. I would go back when in the area.Vegetarian options: It's Indian... so very vegetarian friendly.“
“The food here was some of the best Nepali food that I have eaten in the city. The prices were extremely reasonable. We loved everything that we have gotten here. We asked the waiter if he could help us find something vegan, and we were elated that they were very knowledgeable and accommodating to what we wanted to order. They said it would be no problem to leave out the milk/butter from some of the vegetarian entrees. We got medium level spicy, which was not too spicy but definitely had a kick. I couldn't have been more pleased with the waiter's professionalism and help.“
“A local restaurant worth supporting. Their menu is pretty dauntingly large, but you can never go wrong with their sandwich or Indian dishes.I had an issue where my DoorDash driver never delivered the food. I called and the owner sent me another delivery for free, even though he’s not responsible for the mistake“
“Not many South Indian bakeries around so just having one available is great. It is a miracle if you get proper service or any one acknowledges your presence when you enter. You have a better chance of winning a lottery than the service staff make eye contact while ordering. Their everyday special items are great. Cake is good as well. Eggless cake options for vegetarians are available. It will take twice the amount of time than you expect for any order and the cake orders are guaranteed to be frustrating but yet it's not like we have any other choice. Would I go again? Of course! Will they make eye contact? Of course not!Vegetarian options: Eggless cakes, samosas,Parking: 30Kid-friendliness: Lots of deserts“
“[See update below - 9/15/23]This place is a Sleeper! I came upon it by accident - a pizza & grill take-out restaurant with Indian food?I love good Indian food and thought, well, I'll give it a try. I wasn't expecting much but started by digesting the menu - it's large - 4 1/4 pages packed! One & 1/4 pages have some 55 Indian & related dishes. The Samosa appetizer (2, very large) were delicious. Never had ones this big but they compared favorably with the ones made by "the best Indian cook" who taught me how to cook and eat Indian.I ordered the Naan - it was fresh and warm and perfect - and the Dal Tadka. I ordered it hot (spicy) which was just right for me (also available medium and mild). It came with basmati rice. It was excellent! I ate it with the Naan and took the rice and half the Dal home for another excellent meal of leftovers. The dining area decor doesn't get any points - it's standard take out/ pizza parlor - and I didn't try the American side of the menu, but I will be going back to try the other Indian dishes. It may take me awhile - I live 3 hr away.[Previous post 2019. Update 9/15/23: I haven’t had an opportunity to eat here since before Covid started and I haven’t been flying by way of BWI (Baltimore). More recent reviews may be more accurate than this one. Things change, but I enjoyed A-1 when I was last there.]“
“Amazing place, amazing service, although busy food came out still very quick and very fresh. All the employee’s work very hard for great customer satisfaction. Place very clean with food and items needed delivered very quick when asked for. Treated all customers with respect and always with a smiling face. Overall amazing experience!“
“What a gem. Hidden in an offbeat shopping center. Delicious food is a mild way of putting it. Vegetable Samosas, Butter Chicken pizza, yes really, Eggplant Parmigiano. Can't rave enough about the deliciousness of it all. The woman at the counter was too fun for words. Bummed I don't live in the area!“
“The food here is pretty good, depending on what you get. We've ordered take-out several times. The nihari last time was not good at all. Super oily, meat was terrible quality and it tasted like crap. As a nihari lover, I was greatly disappointed. But their beef bihari kababs are amazing!! Sooo yummy! We also love their biryani and karahi. We have had issues a couple times with getting the wrong dish. But they are very willing to acknowledge and rectify any issues. That's why we keep coming back. They seem to care about their customers and have always made up for any issues we experienced. For example, one of the dishes I ordered last time was the mild Daal Makhani (for a toddler) and instead, we got spicy Chana Masala. I called them and the person I spoke to quickly apologized for the error and gave us credit for a free daal makhani next time. Also, to make up for the terrible nihari we got last time, they gave us a free chicken entree. That's amazing customer service in my opinion!“
“I ma often in town for business, and always looking for a good curry. Found this place online, and was delighted. The waiter game me some recommendations, which i didn't opt for, and instead went with some of my more traditional choices - tandoori chicken wings, lamb Rogan jhosh. Both superb! Good sized portions, and took some home for lunch. Good service, very friendly. Will be going back!“
