I took this picture from the 2023 Festival del Rio Anacostia (Anacostia River Festival) in Bladensburg, MD.These are the best empanadas I've probably had! I had the beef and chicken ones. Crispy crunchy shell and flavorful stuffing.The line was long at some points in the afternoon. So it had a popular turn out.I may head to the festival if the entrance is better handled because it's infamous it's HARD to access the part because there's no turn light and several lanes to pass to turn into the park (coming from across the street.)”

“I just had the mixed grill fajita tonight and it was incredible, the chicken and beef are the cats meow. The customer service is the best, the staff are so friendly and generous. I haven’t actually been to the store yet, but met staff at the food truck the week before last and one of our housemates also raves about the service. So glad J and J came to Mount Rainier!”

I had what I thought were ribs ( I'd forgotten it serves vegetarian food ) and under the yummy barbecue sauce, surprise! Something like a croquette but made of beans. “When indecisive, go for the chefs table which includes all of the apps but also an extra tasting per course. Aside from the food which was near perfect, the ambiance is very unique outside dining in a semi enclosed courtyard, railyard bar, and dining in a lodge-like room with fireplace. Some of my favorite dishes were the veggies, surprising because I'm more of a meat eater. Cocktails were excellent but do ask the bartender since not all liquor is documented. Wine list is extensive”

They only seat about 20 people at a time in their space, so I would reserve or come early. We came as they opened and were seated as a party of 5.For food, LOVE the brontosaurus! The broth is excellent and rich but too too rich, nicely smoked ribs, excellent selection of side veggies and the noodles had a great texture. The noodles in the mazemans were the same noodles as the brontosaurus, but the mazeman has no broth and so I prefer the brontosaurus. The ribs in the brontosaurus could’ve been more tender but I still loved it overall! Pork buns were good as well. Beautiful presentation and great taste on all! We got the tasting menu to try a bunch of dishes and overall thought the food was still similar to Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern food I’ve had before but with a unique twist on the vegetable dishes.My favorites were the cauliflower hash (reminded me a lot of Gujarati shaak that I ate growing up) and the halloumi + muhmmara dips. Unfortunately, I thought all the cocktails were very mid, so I wouldn’t recommend drinks there unless it’s something you already know.”

He was attentive, descriptive and helped create a good experience. Dan, our bartender, was magnificent. He created delectable cocktails and we also chatted along the way (we had bar seats which I highly recommend). This was very reasonably priced, we left very filled and happy. The interior is very confusing and crowded and the restaurant decor doesn’t really make sense, the fried chicken was very good and unique so was the scallion pancake however, the pho really didn’t have any flavor and they were using chicken stock for some reason so it didn’t really have much flavor.”
