“Outstanding. Great attention to detail in decor, cutlery, and fine dining. Not a stain on knives, plates and glasses. Super nice staff who go out of their way to make u comfortable. We ordered Malabari chicken. And it did not disappoint. Creamy and spicy. Thank u, we will return“
“Enjoyed RASA opening day in Crystal City, Arlington, National Landing location. Many dining options with classic bowls and DIY selections. Food is superb and inexpensive, staff is fast, efficient and friendly. Start off with cocktails, blended with masala, cardamom, tamarind. Try the masala chai soft serve. Look forward to return visits, best wishes for continued success.“
“Very sweet, loving, down to Earth owners and staff.Loved the vibe of the Restaurant (felt like we reached an Indian shop). Fresh food, great tea. Loved the Vada Pav, A must try. The Gobhi Parantha and Aloo Tikki was okayish. There are so many sweets too, which they prepare at the place. The kachoris are good.At least one should try this place once (SPECIALLY THE INDIANS , COME ON)“
“Today I delivered a refrigerator to this restaurant, the staff was very pleasant and friendly, when I was finished with my delivery Sateeb offered me lunch. I haven’t had Indian food before so I was a little reluctant to try. I’m glad I did. I had the chicken lollipop, the flavor was unmatched, totally taken by surprise. He then offered chicken biryani, this is a traditional dish, it was amazing. All the sauces were good. 10/10 I would recommend and definitely will be going again“
“When I eat out, I frequently leave disappointed. Not right now. The chicken tandoori was delicious. Delicious and moist. Delicious naan bread as well.Update:Went today and had the shrimp Brynai and shrimp pakoras. Both were very tasty and flavorfull.“
“The food was delicious, the timing of the food was good. The service was awesome. I wish the portions were bigger enough to take home, but this is Rockville and inflation going on. The vibes were well, mediocre. I just used to ordering biryani and getting like a box full. Maybe it's just depends on the location. Maybe I will try carry out once and check out the portions then. The Chicken Biryani. The portion for a Biryani is usually bigger. Those crunchy onions were a hit or miss. Raisins and nuts were unnecessary. Chicken, I prefer authentic and bone-in. Very small portion with small chicken pieces. The flavor was delicious so I commend them for that. I would've preffered the Indian salad.“
“This is the absolute best Indian food I have ever had. I have been going to this restaurant for over 5 years, and I have never been disappointed. Wonderful restaurant and owner, Louis, who is very personable and professional. The food is always delicious, from the entrees to the samosas and garlic naan! Other Indian Cuisine restaurants, in the Metropolitan area, do not even come close!“
“We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Royal Tandoor and had a wonderful experience. The food was definitely the best Indian food we have had in the Gaithersburg area, the service was excellent and the atmosphere very pleasant. We’ll be back for sure!“
“Super service coupled with fantastic authentic food. Easily the best Indian place in this area that we've had.Edit - if anyone is particularly craving a very spicy curry, go for the Vindaloo. We just went again today, March 10, 2024 and had that for the first time and it is phenomenal!“
“We wanted to visit this place from a long time after hearing about it from friends but since we live 45 minutes away, we never got a chance. Luckily, today we were in the area and finally got to try their pizza. I have had fusion pizzas at a few other places in the past but this was the best so far! Thin crust, well done, and perfect taste! We had a large Kadhai Paneer and a medium chicken tikka between our family of three which was more than enough. We have some left overs for lunch now! The owner Manoj was really nice and gave us recommendations for choosing pizza, (out of the so many options they have) since it was our 1st time. The kind of customer service he provides is rare to find these days. Would love to eat this pizza more often if we lived close by.“
“Was taken there for my birthday. My cocktail was superb and some of the best samosas I've had. They weren't too oily and mostly flaky and crispy. For Dinner, thw wife had Chicken Tikka Masala which tasted amazing and the chicken was very tender. It tasted "simple" and I do mean that in the nicest way considering I've had this dish at other restaurants and the flavors and spices are too overpowing. I had the Miz tandoori platter with a delicious lamb and chicken tikka. As good as they were, the star of the dish is the salmon. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Many restaurants don't get salmon right and it's usually overcooked and to my delight that was not the case here. Accompanied by the basket of naan that includes regular, onion, and garlic flavors and rice were a great combination. Raj and his staff deliver high quality of service and friendliness to the customer to go along with the delectable cuisine. Bravo Raj, bravo. I Can't wait to go back“
“I wish I took pictures! Bummed I forgot.Food is delicious! It is served in easy to share bowls with rice separate.. you can try a little of everyone’s order. ?The atmosphere is cozy and warm. They have a second floor loft looking down to the bar and dining room area.Servers are friendly. Ours didn’t offer many suggestions, but did alert us to spice levels.I will definitely be back!“
“We either dine in or order out from here about once every 1-2 months for the last 2-3 years. There hasn’t been a single instance when they’ve disappointed. Every single time, every single dish is delicious. Good job keeping up the quality.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Virraaj, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for a truly memorable evening. The menu at Virraaj is a culinary masterpiece, offering a diverse selection of dishes that cater to every palate. Each dish is expertly crafted with precision and care, using only the freshest and finest ingredients. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a revelation, bursting with flavor and creativity. What truly sets Virraaj apart, however, is the impeccable service. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing an exceptional dining experience. From the moment we were seated to the final goodbye, we felt welcomed and cared for every step of the way.The ambiance at Virraaj is also worth noting. The restaurant's elegant decor and inviting atmosphere create the perfect setting for any occasion, whether it's a romantic dinner for two or a celebratory gathering with friends and family. It's clear that the team behind this establishment is committed to excellence in every aspect, from the cuisine to the service to the ambiance. If you're looking for a truly unforgettable dining experience, look no further that Virraaj. It's a five-star experience all around.“
“Mild Indian food - fit and easy to try for rookie food explore. Anyway, overall is still tastes good. The highlight is about service, very polite and professional. Price is a little bit more expensive than others because it makes from organic products. Location in downtown Silver Spring- no free parking spot near the restaurant - but there are a few meters parking around and garages are available.“
“They do a great job of reflecting India's regional cuisines in authentic flavors. The service is excellent, and the desserts are delicious. For mains, loved the Coorgi Murg, the Chicken Malai, and the Fish Vendiam. For dessert, loved the Mango Shreekhand and the Kesari Rasmalai. Looking forward to trying the new mains and desserts on the menu!“
“I had to knock off a star. The fare is quite amazing, I’ve always had great meals here. But . . . . . I have to take off a star. They added large TV sets since I was here before and the dining atmosphere is ruined by soccer games and what I guess is Indian rap music blaring on another. Totally awful distractions from trying to intimately enjoy their incredible food. Also, a mysterious “service charge” appeared on the very bottom of our bill. If it was noted on the menu I never saw it. The server’s explanation of this extra 15% charge was unintelligible. When the credit slip arrived, it was asking for yet another tip. I’m not a cheapskate. I worked in restaurants for many years and know how difficult it can be. Asking for a tip on top what already has a service charge is a bit arrogant. So, pretty awesome food. I would go back with earplugs and a sharper eye on the bill.“
“I always forget to review this place whenever I come here, and I also don’t take good photos because I am stuffing my face the whole time. This is one of the best Indian buffets that you can get in town. For $21 on the weekend, you get a full buffet that includes many specialties, vegetarian, and non-vegetarian dishes, multiple desserts, coffee, chai, and mango lassi. You really cannot beat this as the value is great, and the amenities are even better.Fresh naan is brought to your table, and services extremely efficient despite how busy they can get.The food quality itself is also decently above average for all of their dishes.I would say, my only complaint is that on one corner of the buffet, it is impossible to go around people and can get quite congested during their peak hours.I highly recommend coming here, if you are in the area and are looking for a fully balanced meal with more items than almost any other buffet.“
“The food was delicious but a couple of things:1. It was a damp, rainy night. The temp inside the restaurant was 61F. We were cold. Even though the food came out hot, the utensils and plates were cold. Our hands got chilly while waiting so we asked for tea. Since we had asked for the thermostat to be raised (but it couldn't be for some odd reason), I thought the tea might have been provided complementary. No. $5 for two. We ate with our winter jackets on like the other guests that night. 1 star for atmosphere.2. Most of their meat dishes are marinated in milk. For the lactose intolerant, there are only 4 or 5 dishes that are vegan - the closest you can get to no milk. These are not indicated on the menu so you have to ask.Like I said, the food was excellent, 4 stars. I loved the chicken korma and daal tarka. My wife thought the alu gobi was a bit too spicy/hot for her liking, but she really likes mild. I didn't mind. But I'd have to recommend you call and ask what the inside temperature is before dining in. Lots of folks were picking up to go, so they could just leave their jackets on too!“
“Awesome food and great service. It took a while for us to get the food but the chef did an amazing job. Very fresh chili garlic naan and the lamb vindaloo was sweet and savory without being too spicy. The chef even personally packed our leftovers for us in those takeout boxes. On the menu, they have many vegetarian and vegan options too.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options on the menuParking: Free parking lot and there's parking enforcement (toll truck would come around and ask for people's cars)“
“I discovered BC by the recommendation of my late spouse. This place has been my go to for quick Indian restaurant. Generous portions, the dishes are very tasty, the staff are very hospitable and friendly. You can't beat the price. Highly highly “
“The menu at Bollywood Bistro is a testament to the rich tapestry of Indian cuisine, offering a wide array of dishes from various regions of the country. Whether you're a fan of fiery curries, aromatic biryanis, or delicate tandoori specialties, there's something to tantalize every palate.“
“Went for a birthday celebration dinner on a weekday evening. The place features a large selection of vegetarian dishes, but mostly not the "usual" lentils and cauliflower. We ordered the large sampler dish, to get familiar with a variety of dishes. It came with 7 different samples, all of them very tasty, flavorful and unique. Highly recommended. I especially note the rice cooked in coconut milk and cumin, and a superb dark daal soup - thick and spiced to perfection. Very helpful and attentive service and a calm ambience and décor. It was a wonderful evening.“

“UPDATE: I have had the food twice (tasted 4 dishes, 2 vegetarian, 2 of them the daily special) since the initial review. Food was excellent, plentiful and good value for the money. It would be a 5 star review, except for the many two portion\person dishes. While the aim is family style dining, is this the local clientele near Flower Hill?ORIGINAL REVIEW:Disappointed\ing without even the food. Went in and asked for the butter paneer special = one portion, not the standard two person dish) which is in the menu photographed under the Google maps menu button.Cashier said it was a mistake but he could do vege sides platter as no other vegeetarian special today Saturday). I asked could he do a one person butter paneer but was refused. I was surprised at the [short sighted] lack of flexibility, especially in a restaurant's first days. I cancelled the other meated dish and left.Very few vegetarian options (most are only on specific days). The two person dish requirement also excludes people living\dining alone from full menu choice or where two patrons don't want the same dish.“
“Amazing customer service skills. It was our first time at Apna Pizza and the front staff was super friendly and guided us through the menu. There was little to no wait time, and the food tasted and looked amazing. 10/10, will definitely go again!“
