After a failed first breakfast attempt we happened to walk by el norteño and decided to give it a shot. We walked away full and very happy. This no frills neighborhood place gives off a hole in the wall vibe, but the food is seriously delicious and well priced. Good and plentiful meat in the tacos and the Verde sauce is tasty. The Carne Asada was flavorful even without the sauce. Great service. The lady behind the counter was on the phone the whole time, but that didn't stop her from taking good care of me, bringing out whatever I needed before I even asked. She also made it clear that my needs came first. The bathrooms are clean. We had the chicken tacos and the tamales in a takeout order. We agreed that the food was better than other places we've tried -- the tacos were moist and the tamales were very good and authentic. I would definitely return here. The staff was friendly and helpful and the service was fast. Try it!
