“My husband and I love Springfield! Not only do we love attending the Lavender festival in June and the paint classes, we had our wedding in the ballroom at Springfield recently and it was incredible!We received multiple compliments on the beauty of the venue, the food, the overall layout of the ballroom, and the overall atmosphere at Springfield!Brian was amazing with making sure my husband and I knew how much time we had left until our ceremony and making sure we were hydrated and had plenty of snacks.I want to give a shoutout to Loree and Mary. Loree (Brian’s wife) was so prompt and detailed in her emails. We were able to access Springfield at an earlier time due to our ceremony start time (3PM). Loree answered all of our questions in a timely manner and took care of all of our requests!Mary was amazing too! We had a last minute cancellation and were able to have another guest fill the cancellation at a different table, she made sure the guest who was present at our wedding had their meal at the correct table for dinner.Overall I recommend Springfield to anyone who wants the overall experience at their wedding!”

“The menu is on the short side, but is executed magnificently: the burgers and wings, in particular, are worth the visit. The service is hit or miss: wait staff often also tend bar, which can lead to delays--they would do well to institute some other system. Even so, the food is well worth the visit, and we have been repeat patrons.”

“Little hole in the wall spot in Thurmont. Came here for lunch one day because I heard about the Super Italian hoagie at the establishment. Was definitely not disappointed as it was incredibly good and probably the best I've had in Frederick County. So far I've had the Italian hoagie, cheesesteak, fries, and pizza from here and all was very solid. The sandwiches are my go to without question. Very reasonable prices and the staff was friendly. I will be frequenting here with how delicious and affordable it is. Earned my 5 stars”

“Very very good food. I come here for their Kung Pau Chicken! The best and so everything else. I love their unique yellow fried rice! Except it comes with pork I have to remind me to tell them every time no pork on fried rice! But this is my authentic Chinese food go to every time.!”

“Got to try the Sauced Savage at a car show and my son and I both were pretty impressed with their food. It was definitely the first time I've ever had nachos with cheese and pulled pork with barbecue sauce together in one dish, nice idea for sure. They also had some other creative crazy looking barbecue combinations as well so I do hope that I run into them at another function so I can try some of them as well.”

“Food was good tasted good but hot and sour soup had a good flavor but was very sparse on ingredients tofu was chopped in a fine dice and was little none in it also it only had about 8 piece of very small and I mean small cut up mushroom in it and last bit not least the egg steamer that I personal love about hot and sour soup was almost non-existent pepper steak was good but more onion few peppers and not a lot of steak but for 16 for the pepp. Stk and like 7 bucks for the H@S soup I expect it more flavor was good on both but I think what's happening here is what's happening a lot of places they either have to cut the amount of ingredients they put in or raise prices personally I would rather they hold on to the integrity of their dishes and simply raise the price I'd rather have to pay a little bit more and get something that is what I expect overall good restaurant nice people food was good just was surprised about as few ingredients that was in it considering the price I do recommend them if you're there go check them out form your own opinion”

“My first job in the restaurant industry before I went to culinary school and became a Chef was in a family restaurant in Carroll County (Bullocks) . Walking in to Mountain gate reminds me a lot of that down home, southern , country feel . Healthy options on the salad bar , a great selection of sweets ( and sugar free) on the dessert bar , and lots of mom and pops meats and potatoes in between !Vegetarian options: Salad bar is fresh and clean !Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free, nut free , sugar free options!Wheelchair accessibility: Bring your grandma and grandpa , brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews! They can do wheelies in their wheelchairs and motorized scooters!”

“Surprised at how good the food was and the portions! Friendly staff. 1st time customer... will be back to try the crabs with some family and friends. The pretzel and crab appetizer was delicious! I had crab cakes (lots of crab) and my BIL had the Chesapeake burger... he said his was really good as well.”

“This is the first time visiting this McDonald's and the dine in experience is much better than we expected.At first, this McDonald's seems chaotic inside the kitchen because there are so many staff working behind. The good news is the food preparation is much faster than expected which is what a customer cares for.Since we have multiple orders, we need to go to the counter back and forth, but the staff remain very friendly and have a smiling face.Definitely will stop by this place if we need to pass through this town again.”

“I have not had the best service coming to this establishment over the last few years, between employees with major attitude problems, and this location never seeming to have any staples in stock, it's been last on my list of go-tos around town. But we were in a pinch this evening for a quick dinner, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm very thankful that I did, as a newer worker, Janine, far surpassed my expectations and blew the previous not-so-great customer service out of the water. She was incredibly friendly, the line was cleaner than I've seen it in years, and it was fully stocked. I'm very impressed with her customer service skills and how the store was being managed. 10/10 Janine! :)”

“If you want food with fresh taste, this is the place! I always go there!!! Everything taste delicious and staff is so polite and friendly. They do need to watch for cleaning the tables more often (it happened to me just once and the waitress nicely cleaned it up once I asked her to.) Besides that, everything else was good. Organized place, clean bathroom as well and delicious food that doesn't make you feel sick even if you stuff your face. I always take my friends and family there. I strongly recommend the fried calamari and chicken quesadilla.”
