This place is conveniently located on Western Avenue in Augusta in the same building that was once a Pizza Hut, if I recall. When you walk in it definitely has a Mexican feel to it which is complimented by the Mexican music. We were greeted and sat down pretty fast. The chips and salsa were your typical homemade fried chips along with a salsa that was tasty. The food has been great. We are new to the Augusta area and don’t go out to eat often. The service is friendly, prompt, and the food is authentic and fresh. We’ve gotten take out twice and it’s been super delish. We recommend El Tequila for sure.

Delicious, fast service, reasonable prices— this is the best Mexican food I’ve had in Augusta, more traditional than other restaurants in the area. Food was flavorful, I had fajitas, and they were just what I was craving. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Give it a chance, don’t believe everything you read in the negative reviews! I will definitely be coming back.
