“We wanted ice cream after hiking Mt Acadia and this was the closest. They had an outdoor seating area which was nice to sit with our dog. We both had ginger. Price was fair.”
“A local over in Bar Harbor encouraged us to visit this place on the "quiet side" of the island. We didn't have reservations and they were full, but the hostess and the bartender were as nice as could be and took care of us at the bar. We started with the best popovers we've ever had, huge, fluffy and accompanied by soft butter and fresh Maine strawberry and wild blueberry jam, respectively. My wife enjoyed tremendous fish tacos and I had the lobster popovers. Our food was incredible and Kip, our bartender, was incredibly pleasant and helpful. The view from the restaurant is fantastic as is the food and the staff.”
“Excellent food, the only place that I have ever seen that serves popovers. We had to wait 2 1/2 hours to get in. The club sandwich was excellent. We sat by a fire place, much to my wife's delight.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accommodating.”
“I don’t say this lightly, but I had the best damn cup of coffee I’ve ever had in my life at Everyday Joes. Get the Acadia blend! Our server heard me say I liked the coffee and provided 3 bags free of charge. Highly recommend!”
“They are open all year & have great service and food! Crystal is so kind! The food, espresso & canned drink options are tasty - I especially liked the numerous options.Vegetarian options: Veggie sausage optionKid-friendliness: They have donuts and caffeine free drinks”
“This “sports bar” is doing some great things with the menu and food experiences. Great cheese steaks, whoopie pies, and drinks. Not your normal bar food at all. Nice atmosphere with decent parking (for south harbor). The staff here is friendly and professional. Only feedback I have is the single waiter/barkeep was over worked for even a slow Tuesday night, so if you’re in need of something you’ll have to be aggressive and wave them down. Enjoyed the meal!”
“BEST BAR IN BAR HARBOR (way better than that other tavern where it SUCKED!) free popcorn and #goodvibes thanks awesome bar staff u are hot on top of extremely friendly! I feel like this would be such a good place for spoken word….. just a thought. sincerely an honest poet xGeorge”
“The Soup Kitchen serves an excellent meal on Wednesday evenings beginning at 4:00p.m. We had a wonderful & tasty meal of spaghetti, turkey burger meatballs, sauce, garlic bread slices, salad, dessert, and water or coffee/tea to drink. The service is excellent. I understand a meal of roast turkey with all the fixin's is up next week. Sunday breakfast popovers will resume on Feb 1.The volunteers are great!”
“One of my favorite dinners in Bar Harbor this trip, we enjoyed delicious food, amazing drinks, cozy ambiance, and very attentive service.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free friendly”
“Wow! What a gem! Previously we had only been to the area for quick errands. We finally stayed in town and stopped here after the beautiful drive down Park Loop and up Sargeant Dr.The bread used for the sandwhiches and french toast is so great! The food was fresh and delicious. The espresso was perfect. The carrot cake is to die for. We took crossants for the long drive home and they were perfect. If you are within 2 hours, this is totally worth the drive. Check out an audio book from your library, take in the MDI views, and make a day trip of coming here.We can't wait to come back!”
“Excellent home made baked good. Mount Desssssert, because I would like to go that many times.Rating is for the bakery. Espresso is less good, and not the reason to go.”
“Sweet staff members and incredible food. Chips and salsa are always good but theirs are amazing. Get the chicken burrito and you will be so impressed by the flavors.”
“My first thought as I walked through the door this morning at the Stadium was "Man it smells good in here"! I enjoyed the most yummiest Mocha and blueberry crisp! I'm be back! ?”
“I had the lasagna and it was tasty, served hot and was a good sized portion. The lasagna noodles are not served flat. So the presentation is unique. My wife had the sausage and peppers fettuccine. It was also delicious and served perfectly. Dave's cooking is just getting better and better. The atmosphere is very friendly. Thanks to Dave and his team for a great night out.Vegetarian options: The lasagna was vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: There were many families with children.”
“Gourmet pub food with local beers. I had the breakfast burger and some sautéed Brussels sprouts. Delicious! The Brussels sprouts were cooked in garlic and lemon. I don’t really like Brussel sprouts and I could not stop eating them!! I took half home and had a meal the next day. The restaurant has an old pub feel and an eclectic vibe. The view is one of the best on the island. Definitely worth the trip. ??”
“Great pub with a killer beer list. Had an awesome conversation with the owner who put on the Ohio State vs Michigan game for me. Come here if you want good beer.”
“The view in this place is unbelievable.Breakfast was really good. We had the lobster frittata and the French toast.Service was incredible. Waiters were amazing with my 1y old baby and they even gifted him a lobster stuffed animal and kept him distracted for a bitThey also had gluten free options for breakfast”
“I've never been to Harbor Table. I've actually never been to Maine. But I did call them once because their number is (incorrectly) listed on an Amazon support page. The voicemail message is hilarious and it made my night. They can't help me with my order, but I would eat here, because they have a sense of humor and that goes along way. God speed!”
“Can I give 6 stars? Janice has been making a cake for my birthday or anniversary for so many years, I've lost count. It is always a special treat, and the highlight of desserts over the summers!”
“I hosted a workshop on MDI and needed lunch for 50 ~ Saltmeadow Farm pulled together 15 pizzas, salad, and a variety of freshly baked cookies with less than 24 hours notice! Everything was delicious with rave reviews from everyone! Many thanks to this family-owned and operated restaurant for their friendly and accommodating service! I look forward to stopping by on my own time!”
“Came to Maine on my honeymoon and found this across the street from our hotel. We were delighted at how good the food and drinks were (especially the size of the wraps) and came here twice during our stay. I wanted to purchase a shirt but the ones on display weren’t in my size. The person at the register stepped away to check their stock in the basement, and although they didn’t have my size, I greatly appreciated the time and attention of doing so. Would absolutely stop in again if I find myself back in Maine.”
“Delicious blueberry pie! Bought it in the morning on our way to Acadia. It was still warm. Ate it after a day of hiking. There was a little leftover the next morning and it was great for breakfast too.”
“Cute, intimate cafe hosted by a lovely woman who serves great food. Open in the winter and definitely not phoning it in. First time in this morning and happy to pay reasonable prices for a great experience. I got the Grand Banker (amazing) and partner had the Wild Hog- pig four ways!! His southern heart is happy. Thanks, Mother's!Parking: Shared lot with Salisbury Farms hardware and organic feed supply. May be competitive in the high season, but shouldn't have to wait long any time.”
“My husband and I tried this bakery’s poppy and sesame seed sourdough loaf, and their morning buns and both are out-of-this-world delicious! The sourdough crust had a satisfying crunch and bite to it, whereas the interior was perfectly soft and moist. The morning buns had different textures throughout the layers and was a cross between a cinnamon roll, croissant, and cronut. I highly recommend both the sourdough and morning bun.The bakery is only open limited days a week, offer a limited (but very delicious) selection of items, and seem very popular with online orders placed in advance. The morning buns seemed most popular and are likely to sell out within the first hour of opening, so be sure to either place an online order or arrive very early to get morning buns!”
“I've only had their packaged meals from Tiller and Rye in Brewer, but from what I've had their food is SOOOOO good. Very fresh and have good quality ingredients.”
“This is absolutely a great place to enjoy a great meal. Family ran establishment with pride in their food and business. The fire pit and cider were absolutely awesome. I highly recommend this to everyone.”
“The vegan/gluten free Tahini Chocolate cookies were amazing. From one baker to another 10/10. So glad to have caught the pop up sign, we will definitely be back!”
“Great people that we enjoy seeing each time we ferry out to Cranberry (they're only open seasonally so, plan accordingly). The island is a must-see if you're checking out the Acadia area and Hitty's is where you should plan to have lunch! Take the ferry out of Isleford (check schedules as this is a seasonal ferry) and enjoy a day or half-day exploring Cranberry. Oh yeah, while at Hitty's try the Reuben w/ a Moxie soft drink. :)”
“Really nice fresh ingredients used to create delicious Food. Rich complex flavors and very satisfying on a winter's day. Fair pricing for the complexity of the dishes. We will definitely be back.”
“This was the best lunch in town. Fantastic service fresh food and amazing staff! Feels very much like home. The take home packaging is adorable and they even offer drink ware for sale that is custom made.”
