Such a friendly atmosphere here from the employees to the patrons. I felt at home immediately! The drinks were great and very reasonably priced.

Not a friendly or safe environment for women. Dingey, outdated and dirty.

I got a Margarita for 8 $. Listened to loud "dance music" and I do not dance. There is a pool table. Loud drunk people. No food. No snacks. Nothing but alcahol and the possibility of getting laid if you are lucky. There are better places to go.Come here for what is available, but keep your expectations low.

I've been going here for years. I witnessed the bartender freak out on someone over parking. Literally screaming like an undisciplined 3-year-old. It was very unprofessional. Probably won't go back if this is the quality of the employees they hire.

This is a legacy gay bar with a nicely old school decor and a friendly, relaxed vibe. The bartenders have always been great.

Adequate bar, but very closed-minded community and social circles. Everyone will comment on how you are new to the bar and will feel like they need to voice their opinion. Don’t try playing pool on a busy night as they will judge you. Very unwelcoming LGBTQ bar

Love the vintage old school feel. Great place to hang

I can't stand Blackstones. I want it to be great, since it is the only gay bar in Portland, but it sucks. It's super small, standing up will make it so you are in someone's way. There are about 10 seats for the bar. And what is there to look at if you sit at the bar? The bar tenders. That's about it. Are they hot? Note the two stars. There is a small "pool" room with one table and there is some seating in there. So now you can watch two people play pool and some people standing in the way. At all times. In the way. Sometimes there is a drag show. Where? They convert the pool table to a stage by adding plywood to the top. Does the music always work? Hah. Again, look at the two stars. Bathrooms are small. You can watch a dude piss if you want and can see in the dark. Outside you have to walk through people smoking. Always. Next to the door. Service at the bar? Cash only. There is a "lane" to order at. People will be in the way as you try to order. The bartender won't be able to hear you. And the dress? In the winter everyone is in a flannel. Otherwise it seems your best Farm-hand outfit will work. Jeans. Sneakers. Tshirts. Hoodies. If you wear a button-down shirt you will feel over-dressed.

Partied all my life and traveled Alot. But never felt like I was drugged as many times as when I went here. Many years ago. But wouldn't ever go here again. Nothing like coming to on the bathroom floor and being hauled outside and then being threatened cause the bar didn't want trouble.

Went on a Saturday. It was pretty busy and I had a really good time. Nice to dance with lots of chill people.
