“First time in for my Girlfrienda birthday weekend and everything was 10/10. the focaccia with burrata was unbelievable. Both of our meals were off the charts. And I'm so sorry i forget the waitress name but she was great as well! Overall can't wait to come back and visit Portland because we will certainly be back.“
“We stopped in on a whim and loved every second at the kitchen bar. A great vibe, exquisite service, and impressive, flavorful dishes made our night. We will be back on purpose and will be sure to go in very early or secure a reservation. Simply excellent!!“
“Outstanding experience at Leeward for my husband’s birthday. Burrata, focaccia, pasta dishes, and gelato were all superb. We sat at the chef’s counter which was fun. Service was also exceptional. Our new favorite restaurant in Portland!“
“Excellent! We had the house salad … like no house salad I’ve ever had! Lots of goodies, super tasty and the large was plenty for two! My hubby had rigatoni carbonara. I had the crab raviolini. We also ordered bread service ($7 was a bit high).Rigatoni carbonara was very tasty but extremely rich. He wished it would have been cut with an acid for balance. My ravolini was perfect in flavor and size.We sat at the bar (not our fave but we didn’t have a reso). Stools were NOT comfortable. Bar/waitress (Lora/Lori I’m pretty sure that’s her name) was friendly and solicitous to us.It was great to be in a neighborhood (and not in the Old Port). We’ve driven by the restaurant and never been inside … glad we did this time. We’ll be back!“
“Dimillos is always our go to restaurant for a nice meal with great service and atmosphere. The price of their steamed lobster was very high on our visit, so we opted for the lobster roll. It was piled high with lobster and came with a generous serving of fries. They now only serve it with a butter aoli but we were able to get mayo on the side as we prefer the traditional Maine lobster roll. And the chocolate cake was delicious. For steamed lobster, we go to places with less atmosphere but better prices, but if we want someplace a little nicer, Dimillos is our favorite area restaurant. Bonus for validated parking in an area where parking is a real pain.Dietary restrictions: They always happily accommodate my needs for no dairy or gluten.Parking: Take your ticket into the restaurant and have it validated at the front reception area. It's all automated now so there won't be any writing on the parking ticket. An attendant will scan it for you as you exit.“
“First time in beautiful Portland Maine, the five of us coming from Indiana were looking for some new local eats. Blocks away from where we’re staying was Anthony’s Italian Kitchen. Walked into a warming Italian atmosphere and greeted instantly by the owners smile and welcoming ambience. He handed us menus with content and grace. I proceeded to ask what he recommended. In short words he said Spaghetti & Meatballs, Eggplant Parmesan, or the Lasagna mentioning everything was made in house/homemade, I was thrilled for authentic cuisine! I ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs per his recommendation, as he told me multiple times how much I will LOVE it. Waiting on my food I admired the radiance of the restaurant and getting joyous for a meal that I longed for all day. The moment came and I ate. He was absolutely right! One of the best Spaghetti & Meatballs dishes I’ve ever eaten/tasted. It was so amazing, two others in my party also got Spaghetti & Meatballs that they thoroughly expressed how delicious our first meal was in Maine. Thank you for making our first meal one to remember and being so kind and welcoming. A++++! I would come back for more deliciousness and chats.“
“What can I say?....This place is awesome. The pizza is perfect. Soft, chewy crust with little charred bubbles. The toppings are not your run of the mill Pepperoni and sausage etc. They have some interesting combinations that are very interesting and delicious. I highly recommend quanto basta.“
“I love the India street Amatoes! The foods is as good as it’s always been. Anytime I’m Back in Portland, I always go and get a taste of history! Now my grandchildren also love Amatoes ❤️ there’s nothing like the original! The cheese stuffers were a perfect snack to eat before heading home :)Thanks for making our delicious sandwiches ands pizza Zack!“
“The wonderful people working to create the Superette experience truly care about offering an interesting variety of quality goods to serve the Munjoy Hill community. I love that they have both tasty staples and exciting new tries! Annd, they have hot food ready to go?! An amazing place to shop and live local.“
“Small restaurant but really good food. Wait staff were excellent. Reservations needed most nights, I suspect. Some reviews suggested some dishes weren't good, but we enjoyed everything. Food was hot, flavorful, cooked properly, and a good value.“
“I'm updating this as I've been to Amatos manyl times since I posted the first review. I've upped the stars to 3 from 4 because I've had several things that I hadn't had there before and they were all very enjoyable. One thing I definitely appreciate is that with very little exception, the food is consistant from one Amatos to the next. It's nice to know that when I'm on the road and it's too late to make something for supper, I can find an Amatos and get something and know that, if it's not where I usually get it, it will be just as good as where I bought it the first time. Thank you, Amatos. It's fast Italian food on the fly. It's definitely a step (or even two) over McD's, BK's, Wendys, etc. Italians plus other hot & cold sandwhiches, salads plus a nice selection of Italian dinners makes it a good choice for singles or familes or any group in-between.“
“Never been here before, so I didn't know what to expect. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday and the vibe was positive. The service was fast, the food was decent and when there was problem with one of the meals, the meal was refund upon checkout. I will return again for another meal, drink, whatever. Another review will also be on the Menu. I liked Bruno's.“
“First time back to roma in about 15 years. Is it possible that this place got better. Food was fantastic. We had halibut, duck, chicken parm and rigatoni. Top notch. Dessert is a must have with the cannolis. Service was fantastic and did not let us down. Can't beat the atmosphere.“
“This was our first time to this restaurant and the experience was wonderful . The service was superb. Our waitress advised us to put our full order in so we could make our 630 show and we weren't rushed. The food was awesome ...we had the Gemelli and Cioppino, the bruschetta with tomatoes and mozzarella and the baked Crespelle. Outstanding 5/5 will definitely return“
“Oh my God is this place delicious. Best Sicilian slice I ever had. The dough is totally unique and amazing. And the sauce on the cheese and pepperoni is sweet and tangy. Portland is lucky to have this place. Heard it was great but really surpassed my expectations. And I'll always remember going because it was my son's 1st birthday that day and this was a late lunch after celebrating for a day already.Parking: Look it's downtown Portland. The more familiar you are with it the easier. You can park in a lot a few blocks away or if you get lucky you can grab a spot on paid parking in front. Be careful though they ticket often, so pay.Kid-friendliness: We had our one-year old who was getting a little tired and we didn't get any dirty looks and they provided a high-chair. We went early with only two other couples there.“
“Hands down best wings ever. Order the hot honey wings and you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you order a sauce with your pizza. Great chill vibe. Lavender Randy is a delicious mocktail with a speakeasy feel. Cannolis are amazing. Definitely recommend Lazzari if your passing thru or staying in “
“Went here with friends for dinner. A traditional Italian restaurant operated by people who care. I think we all took a "doggy bag" home because the portions were so large. My friend (who likes to complain) kept saying in a kvetching tone "there's too much for me to eat" like that was a bad thing. Was definitely worth the drive into Portland even though we are surrounded with good restaurants near us.“
“My dad and I stopped in for some food and we both got steak bombs, which were great! The meat was actually cooked right, and tender and chewy. The bread smells fresh like they just baked it! It was quiet and they even cleaned up around us and left us to chit chat well beyond closing and even then they were super nice about prompting us to leave!I will say though that I am extremely unsatisfied with the "Cookie-Whoopies" as the filling is more of a gritty sugar frosting as opposed to a soft & smooth cream filling. But, I think that really comes down to preference.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly!Wheelchair accessibility: First floor & ♿️ accessible.“
“Fantastic food, great service, good value. Why go elsewhere when Amato's offers pizza, pasta dishes, and hot or cold subs.Parking: 5; total of 8 slots shared with another business at this location.Wheelchair accessibility: Two handicap parking spaces on opposite ends of the entrance and located beside ramps.“
“We recently stayed at a So. Burlington hotel and ordered a Za from Leonardo's and had it delivered. The folks on the telephone were accommodating; the delivery driver was friendly and poilite; and all 4 of us were impressed with the pizza.“
“My Fiance and I came here for my birthday dinner and we were very impressed. We started off with the Meatballs and the Sourdough bread didnt lack in flavor and got us more excited for our entrees. Our server Rich was very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. We ordered the gnocchi and bolognese both were amazing the flavor combinations meshed and had our taste buds bouncing. We ordered the panna cotta, tiramisu, and another dessert with waffle cones and espresso and all 3 were spectacular!“
