Cash only, and the ATM inside the convenience store charges $5.25 for a transaction. Hard to justify coming here in todays day and age where hardly anyone carries cash. I’m sure the ice cream is delicious though…

This is THE place to get ice cream in Waterville. The story behind this location is heartwarming. The staff is very nice and they seemed to know everyone in line, giving it a very home-town feel. They had a nice variety of flavors and serving options - Many of which are SUPER CUTE!! I ordered the coffee fudge - it was rich, creamy and delicious. I am so surprised this spot isn't more known throughout the city! But, I also don't mind it. I like it as one of Portland's best kept secrets. *winky face* I found out about Fort Sumner Park through a post on a Facebook group. Someone posted the most beautiful sunset overlooking the city, and kindly shared the location; Fort Sumner Park.
