Came here on New Year’s Eve, for lunch. With small children and a vegetarian, bar food seldom makes everyone happy, but this place was a great surprise!Firstly, the bartender was awesome! He offered me beer samples so I can decide on drinks and answered questions about the food.We had the pork cheese sandwich; the tacos; vegetarian fried green beans; a cezar salad; fries and grilled shrimp. For being a bar with a grill, the food was great!The atmosphere was relaxed and we felt good and welcomed here. I would surely come back.

The lobster roll was perfection. We also had the Maine burger which also had some chunks of lobster along with very fresh vegetables . The oysters are decent sized an cheap. We enjoyed our food.

Our favorite old port delight! We LOVE the tacos, oysters, Parmesan truffle fries, and the incognito cocktail! The staff is super friendly and the food is DELICIOUS! If you find yourself in old port, you MUST visit Mash Tun!

Surprisingly tasty burgers, good beer options, very reasonable price, reasonable setup. Definitely worth checking out. Mashtun is the bar in Portland for a burger unless you're looking for a slower, restaurant experience. Plenty of good beers. Always enough seating when I've been.

We visited on a Sunday night and easily found two seats at the bar. The bartender was very attentive and friendly. He knew their beer options well and was great at making recommendations for everyone just by asking what style of beer they liked. The mixed drinks are great too; I requested a strawberry margarita and it was perfect.We ordered the burger, the mesquite chicken sandwich, and split the Cajun fries. It was all very good! Two drinks a piece and food came out under $60, which is very affordable in a city.This place came recommended by a local and we were happy with the decision to stop here!

If you're visiting the Old Port in Portland, ME, this is a place to visit!
