Ours was a perfect seat for our party of 6, right by the window it was excellent. The best seat in the house.I only didn’t give 5 stars all around because of the crazy loud volume in the room, a loud atmosphere that made it uncomfortable for conversation, but it was still very nice early in the evening.

miserably served meals, we had a beef tartar and steak and fries, the fries were burned. We came with some much expectations due to the reviews. It was an absolute waste of money. First and last time we come. Completely over rated. service from average to below.

Beautiful ambiance. Excellent customer service although the ribeye steak was a bit overly cooked as it was ordered medium rare. The ribeye was presented well although it was not a good solid traditional ribeye it was more about presentation rather than a delicious piece of steak. The beef tar tartare was delicious. The horseradish mashed potatoes were not our favorite. We would return for cocktails and try different entrees next time.

My husband and I went here on Friday night and it was delicious. The atmosphere is rustic and warm with a lot of brick inside and and candles on the tables. Just beautiful. We had the Filet and the steak frites. Steaks were delicious and the sides were as well. Our server Will was great. He gave us some suggestions on places to go to downtown. He was very welcoming. Will go there every time we go to Portland.

Let me start with the fact that we were an hour late to our reservation on a Saturday night. Not only did the host graciously provide us with a table, the manager, Johanna, clearly read the reservation notes and brought over a tequila shot for my partner’s 40th birthday celebration on arrival. Claire was our server and she crushed it. Attentive service, excellent recommendations and always with a smile. The food was phenomenal, we had the calamari, steak & cheese salad, the ribeye entree and the sirloin entree. Everything was incredible. We look forward to going back.

A longstanding favorite of many, we visited on a Saturday night around 6:15. The place was packed and the noise level was significant. Our server was delightful and clearly knew the menu. Drink service was slow but the blue cheese stuffed olives are worth the wait. Apps were good, our party liked the mussels and the calamari, despite a very fiery hot chili sauce. Dinner presented well, the trout dish was well plated. My wife enjoyed her salmon as well. My steak, although requested medium was cold to the touch rare and needed to be returned. It was scraped off the plate and brought back to the grill. For a $50 plate, that felt sloppy. Overall it was good but not the level of finesse one would expect. The least appealing part of the night was the chef yelling at staff. He was clearly upset and it was quite evident in tone. Our server gracefully attempted to normalize his actions but again not what one would expect in a high end place. We will likely return but not for awhile.

First, I would say the name is a bit deceiving calling it a bar and grill, we expected a burger bar and did not expect the prices. Not did a lot of people we saw sit then scoot. The prices are steep but the food and service was amazing. We got drinks and a couple appetizers, bang bang shrimp and calamari. They were amazing and surprisingly huge portions. The bartenders were very knowledgeable on food and drinks. I'd go back here for sure.

We love this place. The wait staff is personable and efficient. The open kitchen is a fun bonus. And, the food has always been delicious. The huge ribeye dinner is my favorite, though enough for 3 meals (prepare for leftovers). I would order the horseradish mashed potatoes for my last meal. And my partner scoffed down his scallops. So happy they reopened after the fire. It's pricy--but as a treat, we think it's always worth it.

This restaurant is overly dark, cramped and noisy, just an FYI.We had an 8pm reservation. We arrived on time, then waited 25 minutes to get seated. The hostess looked a bit lost and overwhelmed, but finally got us a tiny table in a row of tiny tables, with less than 3 feet between patrons. I'm not exaggerating. The waitress showed up about 10 minutes later and took our drink order. I asked for a gin martini, which was lukewarm and tasted like water. The olives were stuffed with a crumbly, tasteless blue cheese, which just seemed old. I requested a replacement, which was brought and was slightly better, although still on the warm side.We got escargot as our appetizer, which again seemed amazingly bland. The sauce had little to no spice, garlic or even butter flavor, dipping the bread in it just made the bread taste like I didn't.I ordered steak frites, my wife got the pork chop, which she asked to be well done. It was not, so we waited again to get what we asked for. Meanwhile we snacked on my fries (see pic), since there was an extreme abundance of them – they were good, but why shouldn't they be? They're FRIES.They brought back my wife's pork chop properly cooked which was nice, although it hardly mattered because the pork was dry and over-seasoned. The prime sirloin was good (not great), so if that's all you care about and nothing else, this is the place for you.Our waitress was very nice and apologized several times (for each mistake), and apparently was getting plenty of practice since we heard her apologize to the table on either side of us as well...In the end, she was the only one who did, and the restaurant charged us full price for our "experience". You'll be best served to walk past this place.
